The Boathouse at City Point
Our group of 10 thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food and dining experience.
The food was very delicious and very outstanding view of the water.
Our second time here for dinner. Still wondering why we wait at the door if we have confirmed reservations? So if you've got plans for after dinner, plan accordingly; you will wait. Food is good.
Brunch was excellent. Celebrated my birthday with family.
It's a regular choice for happy hour and dinner. We decided to go for Sunday Brunch. Our usual server Amanda wasn't working but Jeremy filled the void for the second time and he's an awesome server. Crab cakes are always fresh and the shrimp and grits don't ever disappoint. They could use more sides and fresh items on the brunch bar.
Another wonderful meal and wonderful experience! On Saturday, we celebrated a birthday. The zucchini chips were tasty! One of us ordered the surf and turf which was really good and worth every penny. I ordered the filet, ordered well-done. Our server asked if I wanted it butterflied so it would cook evenly as ordered. Great decision! We LOVE this place and as always, will return!
Great food, good price and a nice view of the river. Waitress was no where to be found.
Our family of five had a very pleasant experience. The wait staff was very gracious and friendly. All of our meals were excellently prepared and delicious.
Always a pleasant time at the boathouse. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
The noise level was kind of quiet as it was early in the lunch day. Service was good. Jeremy was attentive. Calamari was and always is excellent!
The restaurant is very pretty. The food was really good. The service was good. I had a couple of sangria drinks, and I think they had more ice in them than anything else. But overall good experience
Amazing service from Sara. Everything we ate was delicious. Highly recommend
By far the best dining experience I’ve had in years. Service was great, food was beyond fresh and delicious. I had the whole lobster and my husband had the surf and turf. Lobster was cooked perfectly and the steak was like butter. Melted in your mouth!
One of the best meals we have ever enjoyed! Top notch service, ambience and a gorgeous view. Looking forward to our next visit.
We love all Boathouse restaurants, but this one is our new favorite. Beautifully done on the inside without being too big. View was amazing and food and service was great! We will definitely be going back!
The Boat House was a great place to brings visitors to dinner. Many enjoyed the salmon entree. I heard the butternut risotto was delicious as well. Service was great. It was a little loud in the area we sat.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!
To have a drink on the patio looking over the river should be nice, very pricey for the quality of food served
The service from the entire staff was great. Sara was our waitress and was extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful with menu choices. For entrees, my wife and I ordered the duck and salmon with rice and Gouda sauce. The salmon was excellent and the sauce is good enough to eat by itself! The duck was good as well, though not as crispy as I would preferred, but I believe it had more to do with the cut. (quarter instead of a breast) Overall, it was a great experience, we will definitely be back again.
Wish it were warmer so we could have gone out in the deck.
The server was a very personable and knowledge young lady. Food was great!! I have been to the Boat House several times. My only feedback would be your hostess’s are the first contact for your guest and they are usually deep in a personal conversation or looking as if they would rather be anywhere but there . A smile and a little euthusiam for your job could really turn that place into the place to be !
Such an amazing experience! Food was great and Evan and Kaleigh were fantastic! We will be back.
Our party of 7 was pleased with theIr entree selections. I especially enjoyed the grilled jumbo shrimp served over mashed potatoes with fresh asparagus. It was perfect as well as the fried shrimp, grilled salmon, and pork chop entrees. Serving portions were generous. Dinner rolls would have been an add plus.
Everything from the menu to the service was perfect. We will most certainly dine at the Boathouse again.
We saw the Boathouse City Point on OpenTable and were surprised that we didn't know about it before. We went there for my wife's birthday and we were delighted with the food, service, wine and the entire upscale ambiance, especially in Hopewell (who'd a thunk?). Nothing in Richmond or Short Pump has anything over Boathouse City Point (including the other Boathouse restaurants). We will definitely be back and will bring others.
Caesar salad had no parmesan, asked for hot tea and was brought coffee...a bit disappointing tonight...
We loved it. It was a cold dark Rainey night and we could not see the great view. Going back in warmer weather.
Service was great. Got a visit from the manager when one of the desserts was not available. She then found a small version which she gave us. It was a birthday. Food was great with the exception of the Flight of Oysters which was overdone and the oysters themselves were substandard. Expensive.
Amazing experience. My wife and I had a great experience!!!
Only issue was bar service was a little slow with cocktails because the bar tender had tables to wait on too. Other than that our server, Jeremy, was excellent as usual. We have had dinner there several times but this was our first brunch there and we loved it.
Our visit to the Boathouse was a great experience and great service!
Great food, a warm inviting environment. We will definitely be returning
Came here for a date night out. I had already made reservations and we were seated immediately. Waiter was prompt. The food was amazing. It was a great night. It wasn't too loud like Cooper's Hawk is.
Mashed potatoes were bland and asparagus no flavor and tough. Shrimp and grits were awesome and so were the scallops
The food was amazing, but the service was a little slow and I had to ask for stuff multiple times. That being said it was valentine’s Day and very busy.
Valentines Day dinner
Excellent!!! As always!!!
Very nice building and location. Boathouse seems to have a problem getting steaks cooked right at all of their locations. Two out of three steaks were very under cooked and it ruins your meal if you have to asked to have it taken back. They need to get a chef that knows how to cook a steak. The prices are high for what you get. For $30 or more all you get is a small piece of fish, a slab of mashed potatoes And a few pieces of asparagus. No bread to serve with a meal. Recommend ordering on the low-end of the menu.
So pleased I chose this spot for Valentines day, we were seated upon arrival for our reservation. The ambiance was pleasant, the service was wonderful from our waitress and we noticed the manager visiting every table to check on everyone. The food was excellent! Will visit again!
Outstanding Valentine's Day meal . Great view over the water . Excellent server. Couldn't have been better!! Must go again - Soon!
