Welcome to The Boat Inn.

The Boat Inn Penkridge was built at the same time as the Staffs and Worcs Canal in 1779 and is one of the old ‘Gateways’ to the Village, for many years it was the first or last stopping point, as locals and visitors travelled along the Cannock Road.

Now a modernised Gastro-Pub & Restaurant, serving a range of menus including traditional hearty British meals, Bottomless Brunch, Afternoon Teas and Sunday Roasts.

A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday roast, served piping hot and all fresh seasonable vegetables. Presented beautifully with roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, extra gravy, stuffing and a pig in blanket . The staff are a credit to the establishment and we will definitely be returning, many thanks.

Great Sunday lunch at the Boat. Food is lovely, well presented and all the staff are friendly. It's a great pub in a great location

Food and service excellent as always. Very disappointed despite repeated emails to management team no accessible toilet facilities are available. Over 2 years since work started but still only a baby changing unit available. Please respect the basic human needs of your disabled customers and complete the renovation work and make the accessible toilet facilities available for use.

We were recommended from another boater. Staff were really nice. Food was excellent. I had a Turkey roast dinner £11.95, my husband had the bacon cheese burger and chips £11.95. He also had Apple pie and custard which was amazing. A good homemade deep pie. Drinks prices were good too. Would definitely go again when passing through.
