   Our Sunday lunch was perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Lovely surroundings and a great buzz of families out together enjoying the good food.

   Overall, we had a lovely evening at The Bluebell and the food was good. However our experience was slightly dampened by the end of the evening, where we received a bill for £190 more than it should have been. Mistakes happen but that is a hefty amount to get wrong and the staff reaction was poor when we raised the concern. The manager left a waitress who was only a young girl to come & apologise and nothing was done to compensate for the issue, leaving us feeling less than happy.

   Although acceptable, the quality of the cooking was not as good as usual. The bream itself was cooked a point but the sauce was heavy handed and relied too heavily on sweetcorn for my taste (tinned?) I detected none of the promised seafood. My experience of the cooking at the Bluebell in the past has demonstrated a higher level of refinement and skill. I hope you are not planning to go downmarket.

   4 of us came on 26 may service was excellent starters very nice 3 of meals ok.... could have done with some vegetables and presentation my fish and chips were patently massively over cooked by 3 or 5 minutes although a dessert was deleted from our bill only went part to resolving it. The meal should have never come out

   We have eaten at the Bluebell several times and always found it good quality and a pleasant environment. This was our first time in the bar area instead of the restaurant but found it just as enjoyable.

   Love the decor and the staff are good, very attentive although it was very quiet when we were there. Last 2 times we've been food not quite met expectations- belly pork quite dry, fish batter overcooked. Menu been same for awhile, could do with new dishes. Pecan cake and ice cream were excellent.

    We arrived early but that was not a problem and we were shown straight to the table. The food was excellent as it always is. The service was very good - efficient without being pushy. Prices are about right for the quality of food supplied and the surroundings. The Bluebell is the "go to" pub for me and a former work colleague for our regular catch up and lunch for good reason.

    Absolutely amazing, the food is out of this world, excellent value for money, fantastic service. Can't wait to return. Would highly recommend 110% everything we chose to eat was exquisite

    The place is beautiful with a lovely ambiance but the food was a little disappointing, the vegetables we got in comparison to what we saw others got were a small portion and over cooked

    Pleasant settings and good service. We had lamb dishes the meat was a bit chuyee. We had onion rings which was very oily hardly any onion taste. Food was average a bit pricy considering qualities and portion

    Outstanding meal and service. We eat here regularly and the food is always excellent. We would prefer the pie to be a proper pie with shortcrust pastry all around. Have eaten most items on the menu so a bit more variety would entice us more. Oh and bring back your lovely sausage and mash.

    Lovely 1st visit to the Bluebell. The staff were efficient and attentive. Food was fabulous and really good value for nice food. Great options for coeliacs and fantastic views over the countryside. Would love to return again.

    We sat next to the window - it was good to be able to see outside. Very light and airy. Service was excellent and the food delicious. One of our party has an allergy and the staff were extremely solicitous.

    Another delicious Sunday lunch, each time we visit the quality is the same - excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. We ate at the sister restaurant Stones a couple of days before and again the overall quality was exceptional. If you haven’t been to either you must they’re both consistently good

    Regular for us, lunch with friends & family even business lunch, hard to choose from main menu, great chiise and food is excellent, starters are also very good. Great bar and restaurant, is is also a great pub to eat and drink outside in good weather.

    Food was good .. unfortunately we sat in the bar area . Large table next to us . With about 4 dogs . Dogs barking , on the furniture , paws on table . Ruined it for us . I get that it allows dogs and understand that but owners need to take responsibility . Also the pub itself needs to explain that to these people . Thank goodness the food was decent although the menu is very restrictive . 4th time we have been and its getting a bit boring . And for all of the above you do pay more than average. Big shame but won't return for a while

    Not an extensive menu which is good because it means the quality is good , fresh & well presented. Staff could tell me what the ingredients were when I queried a dish off the menu , helping me to make me a decision.

    Excellent evening spent at the Bluebell with friends. Staff welcoming, friendly and very competent. When told one of our party was allergic to shellfish and wanted a fish dish, an alternative was given which was delicious.
