   Rowdy table of 6+ customers ruined the lunch. We’ve been to this restaurant several times and perhaps because we were the last customer of the afternoon, not much attention was given to the food products we ordered. The lamb dip lacked flavor as did the fried fish sandwich. However, the tuna appetizer was good

   Love the Blue Hen. We had lobster toast (best ever!) and deviled eggs to start. Wedge salad was fine. Lamp chops, steak and scallops all delicious. Mac and cheese was flavorless but everything else was fantastic.

   The food was amazing and I think about the Passionfruit Cheesecake everyday. Heather helped us choose some amazing wines to accompany our dinners and the desserts. However, we worry about getting a reservation in the future, so truth be told, it's horrible, don't bother, go elsewhere!

   Our table was touching the waiters cutlery stand and very close to the next table. The noise level of the diners was loud....Maybe due to ceiling height? Not sure. The worst part of our experience was the loud music in the dining area along with the noise of the crowd. It made for a less that great nice dining experience. The best part was the food, which was very good. We would not return, since there are many other great dining choices in Rehoboth.

   First impressions are everything, and they understand that. Presentation was incredible, charcuterie board excellent, and the duck, awesome. My wife got the fried chicken, absolutely amazing. Very unexpected, but a true delight.

   We wanted to love it - as we had fallen in love with the Blue Hen eating small plates in their courtyard last fall. But unfortunately the cooking was a bit off. The grilled carrots were still crunchy, the haloumi cheese was not melted; the crostini on the smorgasbord platter tasted burnt. But the grilled oysters were delish, as was the banana pudding for dessert. And our waiter was terrific. Lovely place, interesting menu. We’ll hope for a better grill cook next time around.

   Food was great. Seated right away and attentive wait staff. My husband did have problem with his drink order and waiting longer than he should have. When it came it wasn't what he ordered so again he waited. Besides that food was superb, staff was friendly and attentive. It was noisy but the place was packed. Will you again for sure.

   We had a wonderful dinner last night and will definitely be going back for their gourmet pizzas next week!!! Our server was most attentive, friendly, and he remembered us from a couple of months ago, which is always nice. We love The Blue Hen -- thanks for a great dining experience!

    Delicious all around. We had all manner of food: great Caesar and chopped salads; delicious striped Bass and orecchiette dish; outstanding NY strip steak. Respectful and observant service. Delicious cocktails as well. Great ambience.

    Recommended by a friend so made a reservation. From beginning with Host throughout our dining experience with our server Paul, we were incredibly impressed. Food, drink and dessert suggestions were spot on and cannot wait to return.

    We came on a Saturday night in off- season , on the early side, so the dining room was only partly occupied. And yet, there was quite a bit of noise originating from the bar area. The food ordered was very tasty and well-prepared but we felt that the choices were quite limited. I'm a pasta lover, for example, and there was only one entree that fit the bill. I did order it, and thought it was excellent but I also wished that there had been more choices.

    Great cocktails- we had the Aviation and the Old Fashioned , very nice flavors and well balanced. The meal, all small plates, was tasty and well prepared.

    The Blue Hen is the best restaurant in Rehoboth. Every time we decide to go there, we are so glad we did! I particularly recommend the fried chicken--if you toss it up in the air, it turns into sunshine. Yes, it's that good. Do not miss happy hour; the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The outside patio, with its magisterial firepit, is also one of the seven wonders of the beach. The chef is really first-rate, too. Literally every dish we've had has been terrific. Combine all of this with smart ownership, thoughtful management, and fantastic service, and you have yourself a winner!

    Nice atmosphere and our waiter was great. Food could use some work. Their signature biscuits were way overcooked. So tough as to almost be inedible. Fried chicken was very good. Pork tenderloin was dry and risotto citrus flavor was too sour. Mac and cheese was outstanding. Overall the food was hit and miss, but a nice overall experience.

    We ate at the restaurant Saturday night 12/21. This reviewer is a Martini and a Sweetbreads fanatic. So....if you are so inclined, order a Tanqueray Martini up with a twist. In my opinion they have nailed this classic cocktail, enjoy. Have what looks good for an appetizer (I had the oysters) then, then have a double order of the sweetbreads appetizer as your entree. Heaven! They should serve some crusty bread with the dish, so you can sop up any remaining sauce. The Chef could take this dish to Paris and be successful. Oh, and don't forget the wine. Let your waiter consult with the bar for selection. It's a bit noisy, but our server was attentive and the meal was worth every penny, great value.

    This is the second time we've been to the Blue Hen and we can't wait to go back for a third. We've dined with our kids (all three boys) and out as a couple and our experience has been great both times. Probably our favorite restaurant in all of Rehoboth.

    Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect! Food, cocktails, the staff, all top notch! We always dine here when we are visiting Rehoboth, it’s a must! The food is always consistent, and the staff is very kind, and super knowledgeable about all of the items on the menu.

    This was our first experience with The Blue Hen. This local favorite seems to rate very high and with good reason. The menu was diverse and interesting offering food items from seafood to meats to vegetarian. We had the seared duck with lentils and shredded beets. The duck was cooked perfectly. Side dishes were flavorful and interesting. I was not crazy about the shredded red beets S there texture was chalky and pasty, but flavor was good. Other entrees were the braised short ribs with a huge portion and the meat was tender & flavorful. Sides were finger link potatoes and Brussels sprouts - equally delish. The grilled pork and New York strips steak was also very tasty. Outside seating was interesting with the fire pit. Service was good too. I would definitely try this again.

    We were seated immediately and luckily the restaurant was not full. The noise level was reasonable due to the empty tables. The service was friendly and attentive, and almost all af the food items were outstanding. We ordered the bacon wrapped corizo dates, crab cakes, and the crab spaghetti (with black squid noodles - very unique!). All dishes tasted delicious and had very appealing presentations. My two guests had differing opinions on the red potatoes. One guest thought the potatoes were undercooked and the other felt they were overcooked. Otherwise, we were very pleased with our dishes. The prices are up there as our bill with tip was $170 for three guests and only one alcoholic drink. Regardless, we will return.

    The Blue Hen has a nice location and very good food. Acorn squash soup was delicious. They had a swordfish special that was also really good. Using a thinner cut of swordfish that gave it a more delicate texture. They have a nice outdoor patio. The restaurant can be quite noisy when full.

    I am sorry to say we were disappointed in our visit this time. There were 3 of us and we all felt all the food was way over salted. You couldn't taste the lobster on the lobster toast, the burrata was delicious but again was over salted. The drinks were great and Jack our server did a great job. We had been for brunch and it was fabulous but dinner was a disappointment

    We had a great meal at The Blue Hen. We went on the first evening of “pizza night” for the off season. The pizza was AMAZING! Our entrees were also fantastic as was the bottle of wine we shared. We can’t wait to come back!

    This restaurant is a little gem in the middle of Rehobeth Delaware. The food is tastefully prepared by a very talented Chef with a lot of imagination with the dishes she serves. THe food , the staff all make for a very delightful meal at this unique restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone that wants great food made for their soul !!

    Beautiful room and great location. Seated right on time on a crazy busy Saturday night. Wonderful server. Would have been all 5’s but 1) Resturants is extremely loud making conversation hard and both of our entrees lacked taste and my potatoes were very under cooked. Mentioned it to the server and she handed it beautifully
