The Blue Fish
Worst experience. We were first told no reservations were uploaded by opentable to the restaurant and no reservations were being honored. I found the manager who said a different story of all reservations were 45 min behind. When the manager and hostess got together in front of us with their different stories, the hostess was very upset with us. We finally got our seat. The wrong order was brought out and the waiter asked if we just wanted that order instead.
As we were leaving, the place flooded. That’s not a service issue and I have sympathy for that but the prior issues and crappy service is completely unacceptable.
Reservations did not go through. Had to wait an hour, restaurant flooded from bathroom
It was great food.
Great sushi! Fun restaurant!
The food, as always, is very fresh and amazing. However, the new location feels more like a cafeteria then a nice restaurant. Overly lit, wide open spaces with a high number of tables crammed into the dining room make this formerly great ambience restaurant feel cheap and more like a Panera or a Panda Express. I highly recommend the food, but this is not the place for a date or intimate dining.
They just opened in this new location and have some work to do on reservation system, service and food.
new location ,so fairly slow. i went on a Friday night and it seems they haven't staffed for a full house yet. our poor waiter just kept running back and forth with all the tables he had. and as everyone knows that makes getting anything very slow. other than that the food was great and fresh.
This restaurant closed on January 4, per the note taped to the door when i arrived. I reported this to you through CONTACT US and you sent a very appropriate and professional response.
Wine selection not available after 3 choices. Food and sushi below par. Never go there again. Awful food and service.
Always great service and great sushi!
After we showed up, we were told they were no longer doing hibachi. The only reason we went there.
And, there agreed closing and moving elsewhere.
It was not great but was good. I would go again. Very quiet
Blue Fish s one of my favorite restaurants. Food is always great and service usually is. The last visit there were some challenges with the server - He just wasn't very attentive, or listened to us. Other than that dinner was great.
Went during lunch on a Friday right before close for dinner. The food was great, but service was lacking. I made reservations for lunch, just in case there was a rush for lunch... At 1:15 on Friday for lunch service, it was not busy at all. This was a plus, but made me somewhat leary as to how the food would be. Service was okay, but could tell that my sister and I were not a priority as lunch service was wrapping up. The sushi was great and fresh. I would definitely go again for the food, but not service.
We enjoyed our lunch with some delicious tempura and sushi....our server was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
This Blue Fish is always one of my 'go to' restaurants. The food is always great and my server was spectacular.
I wish I could afford to eat at Blue Fish once a week but must limit it to special occasions. The food is fantastic and the service superb!!! It gets A+++++++++++ in my book!!!!
Consistently good sushi and sashimi. Great cocktails. Excellent service by a young man named Chad. A really enjoyable experience.
Tuna tower is great! As is the Salmon dinner! So much food and it was perfectly cooked!
We have always loved Blue Gish hibachi! Last night something was off. Our waitress was very slow and the rice & shrimp weren’t as good as we remembered. I’m hoping it was an off night. We’ll go back for sure.
The best quality sushi. Always great service and great food. Fun environment. We keep trying other spots but no place has better sushi. Hands down.
Kids loved hibachi experience. So hot though for obvious reasons.
Great sushi and sashimi! My dining companion had the shrimp and vegetable tempura and loved it. Dining room gets loud on a busy night, but food is worth it! Great service by our server Zach.
Sushi is consistently fresh and of course delicious.
Worst dining experience in years. I was a frequent diner for a long time. It started with a messed up reservation that I made on Open Table. The service was TERRIBLE. The food took forever to arrive. I won’t be back which makes me sad because I love the Ahi Tower and Sundae roll.
Good food, good service, we enjoyed our evening out
Went there for my birthday. Excellent service as always. Thank you!
Our server was very nice, polite and friendly service I would definitely come back for another birthday dinner party
We love dining at Blue Fish, although we opt for the dining room vs. the hibachi grill. The sushi is always so fresh.
Service was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Although our server did not know how to pour a beer- 1/2 a glass of foam - Eeek! Salmon was particularly yummy. Ahi tuna tower was delicious. All other rolls and sushi were average. Ok experience, just didn’t knock my socks off
Great food and servisr
Service was not good. Waiter forgot what we ordered. Took too long to get food. Food was good.
We have been coming to Blue Fish for many years, however, we haven't been to BF for about 8 months. It may have just been the night, but the service was very slow and the server didn't seem to know how to place the order so that food would be delivered to the table - we either had no food, or most of it at once and there were a few items that were delivered very late in our dining experience. We usually get dessert too, but we figured it would take way too long.
The first three items we ordered they said they were out. Once We ordered dinner, my food came so late most everyone else at the table was done. My salmon was over cooked and dry. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Not anymore.
Have eaten there numerous times and always ordered the 'Tower' and loved it. However this time they apparently used spicy salmon and that was definitely ruined the taste.
Blue Fish is always a solid choice for sushi. We booked on Christmas Eve for my mom's first sushi adventure. Allie was our server and she was AWESOME! She had to deal with a total jerk at the table next to us and she handled it like a champ. We asked her to turn up the heat on the Samurai Roll and she brought extra mustard that lit my head on fire. The evening was perfect (as soon as the jerk left). We even left with a gift from the restaurant! Great meal and great service!
Blue Fish is a little predictable these days but it has a little of everything for the sushi and hibachi lover. The bar is a pretty good scene if you're single or out with a buddy. The finish out is impressive. The Hibachi section looks interesting but I'm not into large group meals with the flying shrimp and knives everywhere. I've been to Benihana's and all the rest, lots of kids, families, blah. The main restaurant is larger but tables are dense. Food is the reason to come here. In my view, it's the best sushi in Dallas without going to Nobu and dropping 3 bills. It's priced a little higher than your neighborhood strip sushi place but the food is well worth it! Best Tuna Tower, best sashimi, and the summer rolls kill! Great Saki selection too. We will keep going back if we need that high quality sushi fix.
Food was bland wish it had a little more flavor. Saying that it was very fresh seafood and very good.
