Permanently Closed - The Blue Fish-Sugar Land

Thanks a lot for such a horrible time! This place Totally ruined my family’s Valentine’s dinner tonight! Everything that could go wrong from overbooking our reservations to messing up our appetizer to main course order! This restaurant is blaming Open Table for the overbook. They sat everyone who walked after us and told us that they will not honor our 730pm reservation through Open Table and will just have to wait an hour because they don’t have a table for us. When they finally sat my party, there was no server assigned to us! It took ourselves to stop several servers and a manager to take our orders so only half of our order came. Management did not even apologize until we went through all the errors they made and that’s when we got an apology! No customer service at all! If I could give 0 star rating, this restaurant would get it!

If I could leave a negative star review I’d do so. Worse service ever. Manager (Sophie) doesn’t care about anything or doesn't have enough experience to know when she is about to lose a customer. We had a reservation on the 14th@7p we have been to BlueFish a ton of times.. it’s tradition at this point. We get there, early for our reservation. They said it’s going to be 30+ minutes for us to be seated because we overbooked. We opt to sit at the sushi bar instead in hopes for some service. Big mistake. We witnessed the sushi chefs putting the receipts over the sushi (nasty!), plates were sitting there for 15+minutes. At this point it’s been 15m and not even water was offered. When asked about our order -20minutes later-we got cold sushi rice (which we returned twice!). I asked to speak with the manager, as it had been over 40minutes. The hostess tells me who it is, the manager comes over and doesn’t show any empathy about the situation. When I was explaining whats happened she just shrugs her shoulders. I said we were leaving and she literally showed me the door! 🤬🤬🤬 I’m so upset with this location. Never coming back.

We came for our anniversary and the service was great! Very attentive. It was a weekday, so kinda slow, so not noisy! We had the kobe sizzlers, shrimp tempura roll, volcano roll, mega lobster roll, and mini towers. I love that they had the brown rice substitute for rolls. It was delicious but I wouldn't order the sizzlers again. Would definitely come back! Thanks guys!

Dined here on a Sunday night and it was a ghost town. THE GOOD: the Samurai roll, the spider roll, the mega lobster roll, the house salad; THE MEDIOCRE: the miso soup, the rolls arriving 60 seconds after the soup THE BAD: N/A

Service was great and the food was even better. I’ve had sushi at numerous restaurants and this ranks near the top. The tuna and smoked salmon were both really good. We will be returning to this restaurant again very soon.

Good sushi and excellent maki rolls. Bar needs some education on mixology though.

Food was wonderful. Service was very good but we had a major hiccup with their new payment system.

They seemed to be under staffed, the food took a long time to come out. We ordered 3 handrolls at the very beginning and it came out 30 minutes after each other and was cold by the time we got it. The table next to us complained and was offered a discount, we did not complain and paid full price - they did not seem very apologetic. Our last order never came out after waiting for at least 45 minutes so we decided to leave.

This restaurant was completely closed upon arrival. Please remove it from your system. The building was vacant.

Beautiful place and amazing food the service was great. I would definitely recommend for a date night and will be sure to come back again. The pricing is fair as well. The Blue Fish Trio was amazing.

We were regulars at Blue Fish on Washington and have been missing it since we moved to Richmond. So we were very excited to see Blue Fish move to Sugar Land! Our first visit did not disappoint. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back soon!

We first encountered BlueFish when our-friends introduced us to the location on Washington in Houston. Well we live in Sugar Land and were Thrilled when you were opening a location out by us! So we tried it and we were not disappointed! Food delicious; service excellent; decor was lovely! Manager introduced himself to us and staff was great!!! This will be a regular stop for us for sushi!!
