This handsome, 17th-century edifice rules the roost down Warings Green Road, close to the village of Earlswood, by the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal wending its way north to Birmingham, surrounded by farms and woodland. Hitch the barge, park the car or bike, and enjoy rustic, home-cooked British food alongside fantastic drinks, including vegan ale and cider brewed at the pub’s very own Blue Bell Brew House. Trying saying that one three times fast with a mouthful of roasted pork belly with Colcannon mash and cider gravy! As for the food, it’s classic pub grub taken up a notch, with hearty meals and grills bookended by a healthy-options menu, over-50s and kids’ menus, and, of course, a Sunday carvery.
