Easter buffet and table service was AWESOME!!!
Seated almost immediately with our reservation but took the server almost 10 minutes to bring water. Service was good after a bumpy start. It was Easter so expected it to be busy.
We hit the buffet, everything looked good. The boiled shrimp were room temp and the link sausage was cold. The grits are to die for. Creamy texture without being mushy.
Overall, for a holiday brunch, it was good.
Amazon quality and diversity of food on the Easter buffet. Loved the omelette and the Blu Halo mimosa.
Great service, meal was served hot and prompt. Highly recommend to everyone.
Great foot and ambiance! Mary was our server and she was amazing. Nice and attentive. No mix up with the orders. Drinks were ok; could have been stronger but that’s my preference. I had the John Jameson and Old Fashion. For food we had Triple P and the Salmon special. Both were good and we would order them again. For dessert, we enjoyed a triple layered fudge cake (soft, moist but not really a deep chocolate) and a banana bread cake (really spongy; first time having it). Overall, the team here was very nice, food was good and the manager was personable. Would definitely recommend!
The food was a disappointment and lacked flavor. The drinks, service and ambiance however, were all AMAZING! The bar is the star and highlight.
Food quality was decent, prep was just ok, nothing special. Ordered tuna rare and it came out well done. Should never have been served like this as it was sliced before serving. Brussel sprouts were soggy but tasted good. Lobster Mac and cheese was very good. Also, fried oysters were excellent and the scallop appetizer was tasty, just way over priced. Three scallops for $18 is a bit much. They advertise as fine dining. I have eaten at a lot of fine restaurants across the country. This is most definitely not fine dining. Food was definitely not bad by any means. But, nothing stood out and for the money there are much better restaurants in the area.
Had a lovely patio table to enjoy brunch with friends we hadn’t seen in a long time. Staff was attentive and understanding of our need to linger long after our meal was finished. Thank you!!
We had a wonderful night out, the atmosphere was spot on, recommend sitting outside when weather is good! Food was tasty but seemed to be little for the value, my wife had a wedge with bacon and it had little bacon on it, and I feel like a steak should lead with a house or small salad option which is not available. Steak was very good and side as well but left me wanting. Server was spotty and distracted, our bread came after the meal and same with drinks ordered first. Will go back but hope they earn the $$$$ this time!
Although pricey, it was definitely the perfect place to spend a special evening. I was hesitant to order the swordfish because it easy to overcook and it becomes very dry. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was cooked to perfection. I was a little dismayed that the entrees, already very pricey, do not come with a vegetable. You have to order (and pay for) a vegetable separately- served family style. That being said, everything that we ordered was delicious and we would definitely return again. Special occasion only.
As usual dinner was delicious. Our service Cindy is the best. Will always recommend both to friends and family.
Would I recommend Blu Halo to a friend - Yes and No. the food was okay, nothing that just "blew my mind" especially considering the prices. However, our server (Cindy) was outstanding! She was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and when there was an incident with the drink order (fly/bug in the scotch glass), Cindy apologized profusely and took care of it right away. I honestly would rate the overall experience at 3.5-4 stars, as Cindy was the saving grace.
Wednesday special is outstanding. Miriam was excellent hostess. Very obvious that she loves her job.
We had a fabulous time for a birthday dinner at Blu Halo. DJ was our server and he was personable, attentive and overall excellent. He even went as far as to give our bread an extra little toast when one of the party members "complained." I pre-fixed 3 or 4 course selections on Mondays and Tuesdays are well worth the money. I also appreciated the manager on duty checking in. That doesn't happen at every establishment, although it should.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this wonderful review! The feedback of our customers is the best input we can ever receive on how we are doing as a business! We hope you come back soon to experience The Halo Effect!
The food is great and the ambiance is even better. We love sitting outside on the patio.
I would recommend it, but explain how pricey the cost is for food and drinks
Outstanding! Happy hour prices can not be beat anywhere in Tallahassee! Service and food at dinner was excellent. The Ribeye and grouper special was one of the best meals we have had in s long time!
This was our 2nd visit within 10 days.... food was great as before, service was a bit sluggish, getting first drinks and crossing up the orders but the server was pleasant.
I didn’t let that affect the tip but overall all the visit was great.
We love the Blu Halo! Service and food are always great.
Our waitress Cindy is the best. Love her and the restaurant sooooo much. Great food and GREAT service.
The service was very poor. For the price paid the food was average.
Lovely dinner to celebrate my birthday. This is definitely a special occasion destination.
Accept for opening my email and seeing that I was a "no show" when I actually went from a party of 2 to a party of 3.....everything was perfect as usual.
This is our go to restaurant to celebrate....anything.
Absolutely a wonderful place to go with friends or just for date night. Better music would make it perfect. Techno rock is not the demographic that we see when we go.
It was super busy on the Wednesday night we ate here. Our food was delicious. One had the ahi tuna, one the amazing burger & the other swordfish. All enjoyed our meals.
Anniversary Dinner. We were celebrating our 14th anniversary and was our first time at the restaurant. The atmosphere was excellent, the service was personal and the food (omg) great!!
It’s a pricey menu but ya gotta pay for excellence. We were not disappointed. We had our teen son with us who loved the pork chop. He said that it was the best chop ever. The salads had an unbelievable freshness to them and were smooth.
We’ll be back.
The BEST brunch in Tallahassee HANDS DOWN!!
As always, a perfect visit to Blu Halo. We've been there many times for dinner, but this was our first brunch experience there. It will not be our last and we will be back quite often for brunch.
Our first time visiting the Blu Halo and we were very pleased! I ordered the chop and it was outstanding!
Cindy was very attentive to my needs and extremely friendly. Atmosphere was amazing. I absolutely love Blu Halo. I recommend to everyone I know looking for a nice laid back evening out.
Had a great time. Great staff and atmosphere.
My son and I drove to Tallahassee for dinner and were very impressed. We will definitely be back
We were in town for two days and ate at the Blu Halo on the 2nd day. If we had eaten there on the first...we wouldn't have tried the other restaurant. Everything from the service, happy hour, food and the manager were wonderful. Even met the chef. Tried the 3P chicken - delicious. Lobster mac and cheese - tasty. The best.....creamed corn....unbelievable!! Highly recommend!!!!
I got the ribeye and my wife had the filet. My ribeye was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had hands down. My wife’s filet however was over cooked a little and charred it on the outside too much. Everything else we loved about the place!
We went for bottomless Wine Wednesday. Great value, great service, great food and great wine!
Food wasn't cooked properly. Asked for medium well and steak was well done.
Went for Brunch, and love the atmosphere and very good service, but food was just okay. Deviled eggs were nothing special and way overpriced, the coffee was very poor (bland or watered down) the BLT I ordered was just okay, not crazy about the flavor of the bacon and the bread was over buttered, very greasy. Others in ourgroup seemed satisfied, but no super rave reviews on the food. We have dined here in the past for dinner and found the food to be much better. The cocktails are always yummy!
Very nice will definitely be back. Service was amazing.
Wonderful food and our waiter was excellent!!
