The Blu Crab Seafood House & Bar makes it a point to serve the freshest seafood around, alongside mouthwatering steaks and delicious craft cocktails. This is a rather large restaurant, able to accommodate large parties, private events and hosting three separate full-service bars and multiple outdoor patios. The Blu Crab's interior has a clean and modern aesthetic, with a crisp and bright style that sets it apart from many other restaurants.
The sheer variety of seafood at The Blu Crab is impressive. Appetizers include oysters on the half shell as well as a shrimp cocktail and calamari fritti. The best way to enjoy a main course here is to get a seafood boil in which you get corn on the cob, potatoes, your choice of protein from multiple varieties of crab, crawfish and shrimp cooked in one of five house seasoning mixes.
This was the second time we tried dining here. The first time we did not have reservations and things did not go well - food was good, but service was not. Tried a second time with reservations. We had a party of 6 (three adults and three teenagers) - we were sat in the back with a large party and another party the same size as ours. Our waiter was triple sat with these three parties - needless to say, service was very poor, but the food was good. Approached the manager after dinner, and was brushed off. We will never go to this restaurant again. I would not recommend.
Dined at blu crab for the 1st time. It is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, so it doesn't look like a restaurant that I would think to have such anupscale menu! Every dish that our party of 3 ordered did not disappoint! I ordered the sea bass which was amazing! Perfectly cooked, light, buttery! We also had the crab stuffed shrimp, It was rich but delicious. A third person with us ordered the salmon, which was delicious as well. For desert we splurged and ordered 2 brownies which were served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with candied pecans! BIG mistake! It was huge but SO GOOOOOD!!!! And worth EVERY CALORIE! One brownie would have been more than enough to share. The only reason I gave the service a "good" rating is that it took a bit too long for us to finally get the check and then submit our payment. Our waitress, Amber, was very friendly and energetic. We will definitely be repeat customers!!
Fabulous Cajun boils. 6 people had 5 boils and waddled out stuffed. Very messy so dress casual. Yes they give you a roll of paper towels..........
The service was good, the seafood was fresh and served quickly. Easy in and out. Small place with a large bar had the feel of a neighborhood favorite. I will return and will bring friends.
Our first time to try this restaurant, and we won't be going back. We went at 4:30 in the afternoon there were two other tables seated and two waitresses on the floor, so no excuse for poor service. Unfortunately, the two waitresses were more interested in talking to each other than taking care of customers. There was a gentleman in the dining area that appeared to be a manager, but took absolutely no notice of the gabfest, nor the customers. It's a shame really, as the menu was interesting and the restaurant space attractive.
I absolutely enjoyed the meal that I chose. The waitress was more than knowledgeable in pairing our drinks with what was chosen. I would recommend to all my friends.
Very disappointed from what website shows. Server was uninformed of specials and pricing......would not recommend!
The menu is a wonderful mixture of food. Many options available even for the pickiest eater. The ambiance was wonderful and the waitress was excellent.
Service, food, etc were quite good. But a complaint. Near the end of our meal, twice there was a strong clorox odor from the cleaning of nearby tables. The second time, our two ladies found it so unpleasant that they left while we were paying the bill. This was mentioned to the waitress but we got no feedback from management.
Food was much better than we expected. Seafood Trio and Stuffed Shrimp was in line with what we get at Trulucks. Amy - our waitress- was very attentive, friendly and efficient. Overall experience was better than we expected.
Blu Crab is a nice, little place with great service and wonderful food--so much nicer than a big chain restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was served quickly (almost too quickly--our entrees arrived before we had finished our salads). Everything tasted great!
Great food and excellent service! It's great to know we have a really high quality seafood spot in Fort Worth.
The scallops were mouthwatering!!! Also the shrimp appetizer was surprising and delicious!!! This was our first visit but will not be our last!!!
From beginning to end our visit couldn't have been any better. Clean and simple deco, friendly fast service and the food is outstanding to look at, as well as eat . The chef should have his name in lights!
This place is so awesome !!! The food is to die for !!! I recommend this place to everyone who loves great food !!! The staff is so nice and know about the menu !!! The best dessert I have ever had !!! I am a world traveler I was in the military !!! Hands down the best restaurant and bar in the state of Texas !!! I love this place !!!!
Our party of 6 chose the Blu Crab because we've frequently heard it mentioned as good. WOW--what a find! We arrived at 5:00 and were the only ones there; it was fun to watch the place gradually fill up with a variety of patrons. The service was perfect, our food was great, (I had the Mahi sandwich--perfectly cooked fillet on a delicious bun) and all other diners enjoyed their meals. We enjoyed our evening so much that we're returning the same week!
Our group of 4 was really pleased with each dish-Sea bass, stuffed shrimp, seafood mixed grill, and lobster tail with scallop and shrimp. All were delicious-not overly salted, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. It was a Wednesday evening, only 2 servers. However, the host was attentive and made certain to attend to our table to assist our assigned server so we did not have to wait to have drinks refreshed, etc. This is our second visit to this seafood restaurant and both experiences were very good. They do have outdoor seating, and some people were taking advantage of this on an unusually warm January evening.
A small group of us went to the Blu Crab after an afternoon at the Ft. Worth Stock Show. We had drinks, appetizers, and several different main courses. All were wonderful and our waitress was fantastic. My wife LOVED the scallops and my shrimp were huge. We will be back!
Had a reservation but the table wasn't ready, waited 15-20 min for the table. I guess that's a good way to get people to get a drink at the bar. Food was really good but service was slow.
Love this place ! My kids lived it and we will return soon!
Great seafood and the service was super. It lack ambiance of lighting and table cloths, but makes up for it in reasonable price.
The food was good and we enjoyed our experience! Also the staff and our server was very good!
My wife and I have been coming to the Blue Crab for several years. It's not right around the corner but we do come as often as we can. This year we invited a special group of friends to dine with us. Neither of them had dined here before. They had a wonderful experience as that made ours that much better. The service was unsurpassed & the food was top notch as usual. No complaints at all. Thanks Blue Crab for making this special dinner fun and memorable. Merry Christmas!

We've enjoyed Blue Crab's Happy Hour for a long time but they also have HH prices all day on Sundays. It's the best HH deal in Fort Worth. They have 1/2 price appetizers that are delicious, including scrumptious fried calamari steaks (as opposed to the rings & tentacles only) + fish & shrimp tacos + shrimp egg rolls + delicious chicken rings & shrimp gumbo. House wine (LaTerre) is $4 a glass & house margaritas are $5. It's a very economical & filling meal. And wait-service is exceptionally friendly & attentive.
The area the restaurant is in is friendly and safe. Parking is plentiful. The feel of the restaurant, staff, patrons all were very positive and friendly.
The bar and wines available are very many snd well thought out.
We had a great shrimp dish- flavors, temperature length of wait were spot on. The prices were just what we expect from a nice eatry.
We passed on dessert, but understand it is all made on the premises and looked very delicious.
We noticed fanulous offerings for Happy Hour and plan to return soon.
The food was good, but it is certainly bar first and restaurant second. It is entirely too loud the way it is set up. Might go back for lunch but dinner is out.
We visited this restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner at 4:30pm CST; the place was empty, which was nice. Attentive wait staff, fresh seafood, good selection of menu items. I got the Full Monty Spicy boil, and it was genuinely spicy and delicious!
This was little different then what me and my wife expected. The food was different but it was good. It was more casual then we expected
Our waitress was very attentive without being smothering. She went our of her way to make sure everything was to our liking. The food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. Great atmosphere and great music. My husband is very picky and hard to please when it comes to restaurants and he had nothing but good things to say. You have to try the seafood trio. Everything you expect plus more.
Good food and good atmosphere. Awesome crab cakes!!! They don't just sprinkle cajun seasoning on their food like other restaurant chains, it is savory.
I had the Chilean Sea Bass over garlic mashed potatoes with Buerre Blanche sauce and it was to die for!! Everyone at our table loved the choices they made. Our server was lovely!!
on my first visit to blue crab the service was very good food was average and I thought the prices were high.
My 1st experience at the Blu Crab was "OK".
It didn't blow me away nor was it disappointing.
A couple of things to note. I had a beer at the bar prior to dinner. Wanted to add that to dinner tab. Bartender said ok but maitre d/mgr rang it up anyway. I guess she didn't trust me 😁. Secondly, Gumbo was not great. Heavy tomato taste and not enough rice (I'm a born, bred New Orleanian! so I've had 1 or 2 bowls in my lifetime). Just saying....Also, the "Cajun spice" was just cayenne pepper!
Besides that, experience was not bad at all. Might be back.
Outstanding food, only complaint is our waitress pushed dessert SO hard that it became incredibly annoying. When we were welcomed and every time we got a refill she would push it. Then when we asked for the bill she basically said no you have to order dessert. I was really uncomfortable, we were stuffed and said many times we would pass. We had a nice seafood fondue and 2 huge entrees. It tasted like seafood I've had in Hawaii or Florida, amazingly fresh and well prepared. I'd recommend this place and go back for sure.
Having never been to The Blu Crab Seafood House & Bar, we didn't know what to expect. Loved the food. Loved the service. Loved the atmosphere. We will be back.
The food was awesome great atmosphere they should advertise more this should be one of the hottest hangouts in Fort Worth
It was a nice place for seafood. The food was excellent. The seating seemed small. Everyone was very friendly.
Good service, fast, food is OK. Really dry tortillas, not much crab on quesadillas. If I were paying full price I would not consider it a great value. Key lime pie had strange texture, not so good.
We enjoyed the food greatly the menu was outstanding and the service was great. I am a private chef and I was thoroughly impressed.
Outstanding service and food was way above delicious . Will be going back soon !!
