Lovely dinner, and good food. A little expensive though.
The Blennerhassett Hotel is both historic and charming. Lovely accommodations and very friendly, attentive service both at the time of check in and check out. The lounge area has a great, energetic vibe without it being loud. The menu choices for dinner were varied and the quality of the food was excellent. It's one of our favorite places for an overnight or weekend getaway.
I don’t understand how anyone could complain about a dining experience at the Blennerhassett Hotel. Perfection!
I ordered the battered fish dish, it was so greasy that I couldnt eat the second piece. When I told the waiter about it, he said its probably the grease needs changed. While I can understand the grease needing changed at a normal fish and chip shop, it shouldnt happen when our meals are from a fine dining establishment like this one. Otherwise I enjoyed myself.
I ended up going back a few days later with a group, ordered crab cakes. It was listed as a dinner, but only received two mini crab cakes with enough Aioli to lightly dip one of them. I ordered a wedge salad as a side. For $34 I shouldnt leave hungry.
The cocktails also seemed watered down. I tried Purple Rain and a Pina Colada.
You have the atmosphere perfect outside, I want to come back, just to order drinks after work and sit with friends, however Im not confident in the food or drinks. They are not worth the money.
This was a great find!!! Driving back from a vacation we were anxious to get home but decided to get off the highway and take a break. We stumbled into the Blennerhassett in Parkersburg and were delighted with a relatively quick lunch (not fast) that was very delicious with great service. I am so glad we decided to pass by the fast food options and drive a few miles to get some great food and service!
The food was delicious and our server was fantastic!!
Food was excellent though about $10 per entree overpriced. Steak ($55) was cooked correctly. Service was slow as they appeared to be understaffed.
Great place for special occasions. Incredible staff. Comfortable atmosphere.
Jay was awesome
A beautiful venue in a historic hotel, a must experience. Staff is very gracious and food was fantastic.
Our Valentine’s Weekend was fabulous ❤️The new owner is very committed to quality, excellence and customer service! Every detail from check in to housekeeping to bar and dining service was professional, friendly and efficient! Hoping to return soon!
The food was absolutely delicious. Best steak and shrimp I’ve ever had. The only complaint I really have is how loud it was at times. We stayed on the 3rd floor where the atrium was and there were people out there drinking and being very loud. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d gladly come back.
Valentine weekend was very busy ~ Staff & food did not miss a beat. Always friendly and accomodating
We had the pork chops and fish and chips. They were ample portions and were delicious. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cheesecake. The serving was large enough to share and was soooooo good!
Brunch was EXCELLENT! Salmon egg Benedict was amazing!!!
We were not rushed, service was very good and timely. Excellent scotch selection in the bar.
