Set in the heart of the historic border town of Greenlaw. In Berwickshire by the foothills of the Lammermuir Hills, just 38 miles from Edinburgh. This former hotel takes its name from the local river: Blackadder Water. Recently refurbished and given new life as a restaurant and bar. The Blackadder Bar and Restaurant welcomes you to enjoy delicious local produce in a stylish new venue. Here at the Theatre of Food and Drink, we want our fine food to take centre stage. Very enjoyable Sunday lunch - one guest was gluten free another was dairy free - all was accommodated easily. Nice relaxed setting with friendly and helpful staff.

Only 2 tables in when we arrived at 1pm, order taken by 1.10pm but food did not arrive until 2pm. Only had mains and ordered a liqueur coffee which arrived as a black coffee with liqueur on the side. Service is always much slower when Pam not on duty. Pity as food is good.

Another lovely meal had quiet a few meals never had a complaint about any of them. Great ambiance in restaurant afterwards they had a race night even managed a wee win 😁

Had a fantastic meal service was excellent all staff very friendly great prices. The entertainment was 1st class to finish of a great night with friends
