Cool room, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food was delicious and interesting - the duck confit was amazing. And we don’t usually even like duck!
This was our first visit. Service was fantastic. Food was amazing!! Music was a little loud for us but I think it was to appeal to a happy hour crowd. We were in for an early quiet dinner before heading to a play.
Great and unique food. Chef even delivered meals to our table.
Restaurant is great. Would rate 5 stars if the noise level could somehow be reduced. Very noisy place.
Food is consistently great! Super cool place and nice staff. Luv background music as well.
We had a wonderful time - we each had a cocktail and decided to split 3 appetizers (the imperial springrolls, the hot chicken and the salmon skin tacos) and split one main course (the lamb belly).
The servings were plentiful - our waiter oversaw our order and made recommendations, chatted with us and the food was marvellous! What a wonderful culinary experience.
Celebrated my birthday there with my husband and a friend. Each of the staff including our server were so attentive to us. The server offered to go over the menu wiyh us and share the most popular items. I also received complimentary homemade ice cream for my birthday.
Small place cozy
Octopus appetizer awesome, nice spice
Lamb belly was wonderful
Bread pudding for desert was real good finish
Great service, polite and prompt
After hitting the strip for fancy dining, Hell's Kitchen, Momofuku, Wolfgang Puck my wife wanted more ethnic so we found this place outside of Vegas. Definitely a fusion of cuisines but absolutely outstanding and worth the short trip out of town. The staff was amazing as was the food. Wish we lived closer so we could return! Also went to Vetri's in the Palms which was outstanding but not as super as the Black Sheep.
The dishes we ordered looked amazing, unfortunately not all of them tasted as good as they looked. One example of that was the bouillabaisse. The broth was rather bland. Another, was the steak & wild rice. The steak was perfectly done, the wild rice was mushy & needed seasoning. For the price paid, everything should have been cooked to order. It appeared that some of the dishes were on an assembly line type of preparation.
-Enjoy this spot, a lot. Will be back again, and again.
Bartender very fun and knowledgeable. Food excellent. Great time.
I’m absolutely love the beef crisps very light and so addicting. I also order the salmon skin tacos and the oysters . Since I try to be low carb this satisfied my cravings. Great atmosphere low noise if you just want to relax and enjoy the food. Bronson is our preferred server always knows what we like. Thank you for always making sure we have a great dinner.
Excellent meal with wife and son.
Excellent cocktails and Vietnamese/French food.
Love the food and cocktails! Close to home. The egg rolls are a must have.
Food was very tasty and creative. Octopus was a little too spicy and not as tender as I wanted. The Bao sliders were excellent. Fried beef was different, but good. The duck confit was very good. Downside was the paper napkins.
Excellent! Creative! We very much enjoyed the drinks and the interesting texture/flavor combinations.
We decided to try this restaurant for some of its great reviews and unique menu... but we were there for a total of 30 minutes before deciding to leave. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the waiters were rushing us - telling us that we would have to wait a very long time if we didn’t order right now... we didn’t even have our drink orders taken. The restaurant was also pretty dead. The drinks took longer than the appetizers. And the food was very bland. The worst oysters I’ve ever had. They weren’t even prepared right.
This was our first and our last time dining here.
Excellent food, excellent service. My new favorite restaurant in Las Vegas.
Food was amazing and the service was even better. Made you feel like family! Would recommend to anyone!!!
as always, the food was exceptional. Original, tasty and well balanced. We ordered frilled octopus, salmon tacos, braised lamb and pan fried trout. Every dish was delicious
4 couples visited Black Sheep on Feb 25th and every one of us walked away impressed beyond words. We each had our own entrees and per the server's suggestion we did 7 different appetizers family style. Taste, presentation and value were all second to none.
The Black Sheep never fails to deliver an incredible experience. I have been coming to The Black Sheep since they opened and I can truly state that I have never been disappointed. Each seasonal menu change brings more delights and now they add BRUNCH! The Steak Tartar, The Thai Ceviche, and the Octopus are all some of the best preparations I have ever had, and I am and adventurous eater! Get the Lamb Belly before it is gone; it will blow your mind.
Unique and delicious. One of my favorites. Food was perfectly cooked with original recipes. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Couldn’t believe the bill — 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, 2 apps, 2 entrees, and dessert, $120?!
Waitress was attentive and on point. Food was great. Drinks were also well presented.
The best restaurant in Las Vegas by a long stretch service , food and otherwise I am a foodie from New York and I would eat her regularly if the restaurant was in nyc
Delicious food, good variety with excellent wine and cocktail list! I'd recommend having the food served family style so you can try a bit of everything!
Food was delicious. Loved the Asian flare. Service was friendly and the food came out at just the right times. I really liked the aesthetics of the inside. Lots of pleasing textures and color scheme. Topped it off with tasty desserts and well made mixed drinks. We will be back to try other things on the menu!
Had been wanting to try The Black Sheep for awhile. The food was delicious, but somewhat less "inventive" than I'd expected based on all the awards they've won & reviews I've read. The staff was fabulous -- friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. It's a modest space, but inclusive & lets you enjoy & linger. An overall great experience, although a bit pricey IMHO. Highly recommend.
First time in Black Sheep , our server Courtney was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and the wine was outstanding. Good music and good vibes . 10/10
unique menu don’t be afraid to try something different. Everything on the menu taste great. My favorites are the beef crisps and the salmon skin tacos. Beware very addicting.
Came here for "Galentine" dinner for the first time.
Ambience was cute and boutique trendy.
Had to knock off several stars as the pork chop had several raw pieces and informed our server but he didn't even acknowledge it; sorta treated it as a nuisance complaint brushing off his shoulders. Other than that the pork was juicy and had great flavor.
The dumpling and mushroom appetizers were good however the steak was lackluster in flavor along with the Brussels sprouts on top needed some salt or something extra to make it pop.
Not too much of a dessert person but chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake was so-so. Wouldn't have ordered them if it wasn't already on a pre-fixed menu.
Overall I would visit again to see if all the above has improved.
Everything was amazing. We arrived at 5:15 to a nearly empty restaurant which quickly filled to capacity by the end of our meal on Valentine’s Day. My only complaint for the service was that our drink order was forgotten but everything else was incredible.
Had a great experience, very quaint place, love the music they played throughout the night.
Bueno as usual!
Excellent service!!! Food was outstanding!
Looove the ambience! Food was great, especially the short rib and octopus. The salmon skin tacos, while the coolest concept, needed a little more flavor, as well as the ceviche, but it was light and refreshing, either way. The drink with the giant cube of maple, vanilla, brown sugar, rosemary, was unreal! Great wine, too. New staple for us!
The absolute shining star of our visit to Las Vegas. A Quazar! The staff was attentive and very helpful, and I'm still thinking about the food. Amazingly delicious, beautifully plated. You can tell when a chef truly loves what they do, and Chef Jamie Tran clearly has awesome talents. We wish we had found this earlier in our trip so we could have gone back while we were there, as it is, we'll be looking for any reason to make a return trip. All those vendor conferences that I usually blow off just got a lot more interesting...
