We were a large group 8 adults and 6 children and had pre booked. They accommodated us early with a great table in the garden area. Food and service were excellent. Would recommend

The Black Horse is such a lovely pub, both inside and out, but unfortunately the service was very slow. The staff were very friendly but it took 2.5hrs for 2 courses! Also it took the staff 30 mins after seating to provide menus. The food was unfortunately only mediocre, a lot of it but meat quality wasn't great (Sunday roast). Not sure we will return in a hurry, there are better options around.

The Black Horse is always great whenever we go, cannot fault it in anyway. The staff are always so nice and the food is really good! Great selection of drink too. Thanks guys, we’ll definitely be back.

Starters - baked Camembert, chorizo potatoes, olives and sharing nachos - 10/10! Mains - roast lamb, 3 meat roast, burger & chicken burger - 10/10! Those crispy roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese amazing! Great portions and so so tasty!

Had an excellent time at the Black Horse, Standlake with my family. Food was excellent and service was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were so friendly. 2nd time here and will definitely be going back.
