   Booked online through OpenTable, but when we arrived we were told there was no food due to the venue being under new ownership. No compensation offered for our inconvenience.

   Took a punt for Sunday lunch at this restaurant after some recommendations and checking it out online. We were not disappointed!! Will definately be going back to see what it's like for an evening meal.

   I challenge someone to find a better pub lunch, for the same outstanding value, superb service and absolutely deliciously scrumptious food. I was shocked at how well presented, filling and how tasty the meal was. And yet so very affordable. I've not had a better pub lunch in the UK. I'll be back!

   Had a lovely evening out here celebrating my friends birthday. The venue was lovely - old and modern at the same time. It was also small so made the whole experience more intimate. The food was excellent - they obviously have a very good chef. I would love to go back for another special occasion.

   A very cosy dining experience! All staff tried their very best to impress their customers. The owners had clearly worked hard in improving the decor of the building. There appeared to be a clear commitment to improve the customer experience even further. Some suggestions, however. Please don't undertake staff training in full view of all of your customers making them feel that you have more important things to attend to then them! Our view was that it simply seemed to lack a calm and reassuring "Maitre de" to keep the ship running smoothly! The turquoise colour scheme didn't do much for us, but that's personal choice. We sincerely hope the local community responds accordingly to help keep this valuable community resource afloat.

   We meet with our lovely friends once a quarter and try to meet about half way. The Black Horse is perfectly situated and we have returned on a number of occassions to enjoy their excellent food at sensible prices. The beer is always good too! An excellent and friendly pub and restaurant. Cheers!

    We must hav hit this restaurant on an off night. The menu was very limited and not well thought out. Had based decision to go to this pub based on previous reviews, but was sadly very disappointed. Wil not be returning. We do eat out quite frequently are willing to pay for good food and service.
