The Black Horse Inn is a superb traditional British country pub-restaurant situated in the bucolic surroundings of the village of Nuthurst, West Sussex, just outside of Horsham. Approaching from the road, you’ll find yourself faced with the absolute picture of the olde worlde English pub – worn brick covered in creeping greenery, window boxes overflowing with brightly coloured flowering plants, parasol shaded bench seating and, of course, a high swinging sign. Within, The Black Horse Inn has been brought bang up to date while retaining the bucket loads of character that would make lesser pubs weep. So while the décor is pleasantly neutral and earthy toned in keeping with a modern taste for light and airiness, the wonderful rugged beams and pitted brick walls remain along with roaring open log fires for those cosy winter dinners and an attractive garden for summer lunches.
