The Black Grape - a new small plate restaurant located on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Expect small plates, wine & good times in a stunning setting. This custom designed wine bar & restaurant is the ideal setting for intimate date night dining, drinks with friends or a quick snack as you people watch in the heart of the city. Our menu is a gastronomic tour de force with inspiration from around the globe. One thing unites all our dishes however - bold, punchy flavours and plates that are perfect for sharing. Great drinks but food is expensive for what you get. Small portions and lacklustre flavour. Bread portion was tiny (with no butter/oil) and steak was lukewarm. Service was fine but table next to us were asked about allergens and had the menu explained to them, but we didn’t receive this.

Great little find on the Royal Mile. Food quality was amazing with lovely tasty small plates for sharing. No rush to get us through which was relaxing. Noise levels were a bit high for us. Overall a great find, weve been a number of times and will be back.

Wow! The food was amazing, everything we had was first class! My favourite was the whipped feta and sourdough focaccia 😋 Service was also really good, attentive but not over bearing or rushing you. Cocktails were made with care and were delish too! Will definitely be back

Great food with lovely interesting wines. Menu changes weekly. We supplemented the Mon- Thursday deal with extras but you certainly don't need to.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Loved ever dish, staff was friendly, and overall was well priced. Will definitely be dining again

What a fantastic experience upon arrival in Edinburgh! Murray, kacia, Neil, and Hugh made our simple night out memorable! And OH - the FOOD! Everything was wonderful….thank you so much!
