Located at the heart of Sunset Junction, The Black Cat is a neighborhood bar and restaurant offering everyday but informed food alongside hand-crafted cocktails, eclectic wines, and exciting craft beers. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Free on-site parking is available at the corner of Sunset and Hyperion. We are a 21 and over establishment only. No kittens please.

Every time I go to The Black Cat, my expectations continue to be exceeded. The food is delicious, the service is quick yet never feels rushed. The servers are always so friendly! However, the ambiance takes top spot for best feature. The dark paneling and leather-clad dining area truly feels like you’ve entered a swanky, 20s East Coast speakeasy. Could not recommend this place anymore!

I liked the outside terrace! But I don’t wanna go back…foods weren’t good at all. We ordered chopped salad (taste bad), French fries (it was cold and asked to get us fresh one but still warm), chicken wings ( it was warm and I didn’t like the taste). Maybe frozen French fries and chicken wings. It’s ok but should be hot. I thought it’s better to make them at home with air fryer. Maybe they’re better dishes.

Why am I being asked to tip 20% when I have to order my own meal off of my phone? The food isn’t very good and the service is only someone bringing your your food from the kitchen and plopping it on the table.

Nice ambience, our waitress was very good, smiled, answered our questions, was fast and friendly. There was a group of you g people at the bar who were very loud snd at times made it hard to converse at the table.

Our waitress (petite lady with dark straight hair in a ponytail) promised that desserts would be coursed, yet brought out dessert (which had ice cream on it) while we were still dining on the entree. Horrible service.
