   We visit the Black Bull each year on our way to Newmarket. We look forward to it and are never disappointed. There is always a friendly welcome, great menus with plenty of choice, well cooked/presented food and efficient/personable service. Well done the team at the Black Bull 👍🏻

   First time here for a family meal with relations from America. We were a party of 10 and our table was right in front of 1 of the bars which was ok, they put a sign on the bar at 1 end saying closed use other bar but people still kept coming to it, which they couldn’t get to it unless they leaned over our backs, I did say to a man it was closed and he said I tried next door and the girl looked at me then turned and walked away! So that’s why they kept coming to this bar. The guy that took our drinks and food order was great, really friendly, there was 2 girls behind the bar and going by their unhappy faces didn’t really wanna be there and I asked them for some more bottled water and I got a look of that was too much trouble for them! Food was absolutely delicious and overall I would definitely recommend

   Lovely pub grub - pies are amazing and if you like Stilton then the Steak and Stilton pie is awesome! Service was brilliant - efficient and friendly - atmosphere was really nice - thanks 🤩

   Really welcoming service. Nice selection of food. Good portion sizes. Slightly more expensive than the average but well worth the money. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Well definitely be revisiting.

   Lovely pub, food was superb, service was great, not hurried bimut never had to wait for service, really great meal from a great team

   Had a table crammed near the door and crammed up against the bar. It was not a pleasant experience at all and there are too many tables crammed into a tiny space. Food was fine but overall not value for money considering the overall experience

   I know it was a busy sunny day but had we not arrived early for our lunch booking and so got a drink and ordered some of our meal it would have been awful as there was a never ending queue of people in front of our table ordering drinks. After that I had to join the long queue every time to order the drinks and get more food and the bill etc. As a prebooked restaurant user spending a substantial amount of money i would not have expected to have to queue with everybody else! The staff however were very good and were doing their best but not enough of them. The food was good, but never had to queue up before in a restaurant for everything I wanted !!!! Also too busy to clear tables. Definitely not enough staff

   Great food. Pie night was excellent value and the service was excellent. And lovely Guinness too. Highly recommended

    First time here staff were very friendly and helpful, food was lovely will definitely be coming back, the bar staff are a good team well done management 10/10 all round great
