The Bistro at The Blufftop at Rocheport, located on a blufftop overlooking the Missouri River, is the perfect place to turn your outing into an occasion. Enjoy classic comfort food and spectacular views of Mother Nature’s finest work, no matter the season.

Our restaurant space area offers a casual environment and a delicious menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Our Chefs prepare a variety of house-made products including breads, smoked meats, and other seasonal items. Join us for your next meal; make a reservation now!

There were not many options and no budget friendly options. Price was extremely high! Service was okay not great. On the other hand we went to the tasting room before dinner the service and value was excellent. Great atmosphere and staff was wonderful.

Our service was slow, but very personable. The food was good, but pretty over priced (we regularly spend $200 up on a dinner for two). Our biggest concern was that the menu clearly stated ‘no separate checks for parties LARGER than 6’. We had 6 at our party and they refused to give up separate checks. The manager told us that their system couldn’t handle separate checks for 6, without crashing the system. He kept telling us we misinterpreted the menu.

We loved the French inspiration in the revised menu! The Coq au Vin was not according to my typical expectation, but was delicious all the same. The Frisee salad was light and fresh with simple elegance. The Stuffed Peppers were quite different and very tasty. Don't skip dessert! The Butternut Squash creme du pot and Pear Tart were both fabulous. The service was friendly and attentive and the view, awesome as always. As the dining room fills, the noise level does become a bit much, but seems to be usual these days.

Disappointed, overpriced, miss managed. Shame that a spectacular view and venue falls short on the basics from service to food preparation. Lackluster experience in a dirty wine glass. Now I bet the bot sends the canned response. But that in no way will make up for the three lamb chops that were presented resembling a Kingsford charcoal briquet served with charred carrots and potato that were actually undercooked. Star of the evening the lemon desert. The view is great. But it’s not clean nor comfortable. Well advised to seek alternatives.

We've been dining at Les Bourgeois both at the Bistro and A frame for many years and have enjoyed the cuisines very much. We understand that menus change but everything was off this time around. The water was salty, the food were smaller in portions, the options are slimmer and overall taste have gone down hill. It is not like the higer quality menu options and tastes of previous offerings. The drinks were good though but at a close to $200 price tag, it is definitely not worth going back just to dine.

No many food choice’s. The stake tartar chip tasted like oil. Chicken was dry. Scenery and the view was awesome. Would visit the area again but not for dining.

Returned here with a friend and was pretty disappointed in some of the changes they've made. Took the absolutely best appetizer off the menu- Bruschetta! Very limited menu,- with cost and options. The chicken Coq au Vin ($38) was a bit dry, no greens on the plate, and not a mushroom in site! The "lounge" was makeshift and you had to walk through people to get to your table. It looked very low class for the venue. If they are trying to bring in a more "uppity clientele" with these changes, I think they've failed. People traveling and people wanting a nice evening out, would be better served elsewhere. It's too bad, though. This place could really be full every night if they would open up their menu to a more diverse crowd. But, that said, the view here is amazing and the service is impeccable!

The food was delicious. I had the Shrimp and Grits, my guy had the Lox, we both loved it. The scenery is beautiful. The music was a little loud, which made conversations hard. Service was great.

Our meal was tasty and the presentation, excellent. Attentive waitstaff. The new room arrangement opened up the room for a brighter look. Pleasantly surprised by the Collector Series wine flight. Music mix was excellent also.

The menu was very interesting, and everything we tried was delicious. The bread service was a nice touch and the blueberry crumble dessert was fantastic. Our server, Grant, was attentive and offered excellent recommendations, which proved to be infallible. Of course the view is magnificent as it always is. a little bit noisy but we managed to deal with that and had a wonderful time. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Not a huge fan of mushrooms so I asked to swap the mushroom sausage for bacon but was told the kitchen doesn’t like to make substitutions. The brunch hash was 90 percent potato with only a few peppers and the egg was mixed in with the mushrooms. However- one of the specials was brisket tacos and those were good. Also the tasting room is a 5/5- great customer service. Highly recommend checking it out!

The view is beautiful. The appetizer of charcuterie board was excellent. The filet was good, ordered medium rare was served well done. Taste was good but kind of dry. Otherwise great food and experience.

My sisters and I have a tradition every time they come to visit, we have a girls day or night and go to Les Bourgeois Bistro. They never disappoint with service and their food. Would definitely recommend!

There were 5 people on our party and we all had different meals; each of us were very impressed with the overall presentation and flavor of the dish. Our server was very knowledgeable about both the wine and food. She made excellent recommendations for wine that paired well with each meal.

We had the Gorgonzola Chessecake for an appetizer which paired perfect with garlic confit. Dinner selected were the rack of lamb and stuffed peppers both were delicious. We ended our experience with lady finger dessert and a bottle of Cabernet. We will definitely be back!

We felt like the dinner menu was very limited and would have enjoyed a few more options. Asked if we could have a window seat as there were some available and host said “This is all we have”, seating us in the middle of room. Those window tables were never used. I understand balancing the number of tables per server but when a customer requests, arrangements could be made. Had to ask waitress four times for a glass of ice. Food was good and ambiance was nice. We will give you another try!

Had never been there, but definitely will come back! Only issue was that the bridge was out of service from the interstate exit and you had to figure out an alternative route. 2 different staff members couldn’t give advice on alternative directions other than “you could just go to your gps and get directions. I felt staff should be more knowledgeable of this customer inconvenience. Shrimp added to the salad was fabulous!

The waitress was not good at all. She did not seem to know how to do the basics. Bar drinks were good, but it took forever to get them (one drink needed to be sent back because it wasn’t prepared as ordered). One entree was okay but the other was all fat and when asked there was no customer service to make us happy. The chef was enough to come to talk and was professional. The manager was not focused on making the situation better. She was rude. The last time we were there it was great all around- 5 stars. This time they missed the mark.

The service was great as was the atmosphere. The food was disappointing. My hamburger was dry and crumbly. It seemed to have a filler in the mixture. Chips were great. Our appetizer was lovely and I wish we would have ordered more of it. Our server, Grant could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

The Bistro is wonderful - a beautiful setting along the river, the foremost of the overall Les Bourgeois operations in the Rocheport area (and proximate to all of the great B&Bs and the biking there), affords an opportunity to sample and enjoy an excellent local wine selection, has terrific food (if you like shrimp, order them in addition to your meal - but don't make the mistake I did in thinking they will be small - I ordered two servings and it was enough for a meal for two - they are truly enormous prawns and very tasty), and the service is superb.

Had a table for seven, three couples and one individual. A "service of 20% was automatically added. That was ok, but waiter would not do individual checks. The waiter ended up doing just as much work in the end by all of us using credit cards.

It is a limited menu but the items were well prepared and service was friendly. The exceptional view is the primary attraction here. There is an extensive selection of wines, beers, and cocktails but only one option for dessert. It made me happy to dine here.

They were out of several menu items, had a reservation but still got the table by the kitchen, service was slow- it took 2 hours for dinner for 6, food wasn't hot, and they didn't mention until it was time for the bill that they will not split a check by 6 and there was 20% gratuity added. It is over a mile away from the tasting room and an uphill walk from the A-frame and there are no sidewalks and no transportation provided between locations and ride shares were hard to get.

Food was great. Service was great. Only disappointing aspect; we were the first customers when we arrived. No other customers in the building. When the next party arrived, they were seated RIGHT next to us. Out of the entire restaurant, they chose to put them within 2 feet of us. Kinda killed our vibe.

Prepare to overpay for being underwhelmed. Hostess-no smile or greeting; ordered a cocktail but they brought our salads immediately with no time for enjoyment. They brought our entrees BEFORE salad course complete and without picking up plates from our small two top. I asked them to let me complete salad and keep my entree warm. My partner took his entree while I finished my salad. His ‘baked’ potato was cold inside, cooked but cold. When they brought my entree, it was lukewarm at best so I’m guessing they didn’t hold it in the kitchen lamps? The ratatouille entree was mild and middlin’ with not totally cooked eggplant on top, or perhaps it just seemed that way since it wasn’t warm. The tomato in it was poor quality and was an overly soft texture for a sliced tomato in this presentation. The rest of the dish was great though it was a vegetarian polenta. The chicken entrée was neither moist nor delicious. I’ve already addressed the potato. The spinach was great. The waiter offered dessert but couldn’t pronounce dulce de leche. The banana bread pudding was a bit dry and it was not a great dulce de leche but passable as one. They left our bread tray on our table throughout dessert. The coffee was great. Tip: if you are going to write the menu and the prices as if you are a nice restaurant, then please train your staff. This is my first time writing a review of this rating. Pleasant long walk down a hillside to the restaurant. This would prevent many people from making it to the restaurant. There are no soft surfaces in the open lovely mostly wood dining room to absorb sounds so it was not good for conversations.
