The Bistro is the best kept secret on Topsail Island. Can't wait for our next visit.
Always delicious food and a great dining experience!
Excellent service and food. Such a great place to dine and just visit. Wonderful atmosphere. Lovely view through the windows looking onto the water. I can easily see why it is recognized for awards. We will continue to patronize.
This is one of many times I have eaten here and the Bistro never disappoints. The staff is always polite and accommodating and the food is amazing. The views during the summer time are to die for. The experience is always consistent as I have eat there for over 5 Years!
Steak was over priced and under cooked otherwise the dinner was good.
The Bistro is a 5 star restaurant in pretension. If you have a problem with your meal the manager "might" come to your table 15 minutes after the server asked if "everything" is okay. Probably, not. Don't by any means ask for ANY changes to the offerings on the menu. The staff will inform you that the chef will not comply with a request because the change will destroy the "composition" of the meal. And that information will come 10 minutes after you placed the order, so if you are dining with others, you could all eat at a different time. Bottom line- save your time and money. Go 100 yards or less toward the mainland and go to Sears Landing. It is more fun, the food is better and the staff and management actually wants the diner to enjoy themselves.
Great drink and menu selection. The service and staff was very professional and friendly.
Early Christmas dinner with family.
I ordered the Duck...Something I never thought of trying till 6 months ago. The Duck at the Bistro is simply AMAZING! I have since gone to several of Raleighs premiere restaurants and also ordered the duck, and honestly, their duck wasn't even in the same league. Great flavors, super tender, just a masterpiece of a dish IMO. I have had it 6 times now, and can't wait to go and have it again!
The Bistro had but one flaw, and we considered it major. Half or more of their chairs in the dining room are metal, cold and narrow. They are also used outdoors. The lack of good seating should scare away anyone who is of medium or larger girth, or who doesn't want a cold derriere, unless you want to eat at 5:30 because we were told the chairs were first come- first serve.
Food was excellent. Service has been slower than expected the past few visits.
Overall..... wonderful!!! Only recommendation is more space between table and chairs.
Way too dark, no lighting on table. Too cold on a chilly nite, easier to read menu. Restaurant is way more impressed with themselves than we were with the restaurant. Chef has a bad attitude if asked for dressing on the side. Enough said.
Consistently good with excellent service and beautiful view!
