Celebrated a good friend’s birthday last night in this favourite neighbourhood gem and of course, I wasn’t disappointed.
Four of us had the prime rib and the servings were huge and the prime rib were done to perfection.
The young lady that served was was very friendly and accommodating and they even offered a complimentary birthday dessert for my friend.
Another great evening spent in this awesome restaurant!
The place was not extremely busy, but we thought our server was very personable and attentive to our needs. The food itself was not all that impressive, presumably because it was a weeknight and they don’t have a large kitchen crew working these hours. Still it’s a pleasant place to go when you don’t feel like straying too far from your hotel room.
It was quite expensive for the service we received. We had to ask to have our coffee refilled, and the place wasn’t full - so not sure why service was so slow. Food was ok - but not great. And they ran out of the only dessert I cared for. I expected a lot more for the price I was paying.
Excellent service! Everyone was very kind and the food was delicious too.
Friendly staff, great Easter activities for kids. Will come back for Easter brunch next year!
We went for Easter brunch. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. The eggs benny were good, salads were good. The hash browns were soggy, and the desserts were not good at all.
I think for an Easter Brunch, I would have expected a little more. I doubt we will return.
As always, we had an amazing dining experience once again.
Carmelito was our server once again and he was just great!
As always, service from Carmelito was stellar and food has always been amazing here.
This restaurant has become one of my to go to place!
We went for Christmas Day Dinner, it was a pleasant evening.
Felt rushed. Hard to enjoy meal and conversation. Prime Rib was too fatty (1/3), Turkey was 2/3 dark. Caesar salad too salty.
We went there for Christmas dinner. We had our two year old with us. It was half price for her meal which still would’ve been about 23 dollars so we opted to share with her. We asked if we could just pay for some noodles but that was not an option. Even some bread would’ve been helpful. It was not the end of the world but for a very young child a cheaper option would be helpful. Just a heads up, bring some toddler foods. The food we ordered was edible but not overly tasty especially for the price. For example the turkey was very dry as was the stuffing. Everything was edible but a bit underwhelming for the 45 dollar price tag.
Was a really lovely 4 course meal. Great service, amazing food. Servers were so attentive and timely.
We went there on Christmas Eve and had the four-course meal on the 'Christmas Eve Special' menu. The special was the only thing that could be ordered, but had a choice of two soups, two salads, three entrees, and two deserts. It had excellent choices and between the six of us we wound up having one of at least all the selections. Everyone thought they were very good. In particular, the entree sizes were much larger than expected and were very filling.
This restaurant has become like a second home.
The service is always great and the food always consistently good.
Will keep coming back for sure!
Second night w Brussels sprouts. Didn’t disappoint
Another great dining experience in this hidden gem!
The service was excellent, but then there was no one else there. The drinks were very expensive...$17 for an 8oz glass of wine!! The food was mediocre to say the least. very disappointing. If they are going to compete with restaurants in the neighbourhood, they really need to revise their menu and get an new chef.
Service was outstanding, the burger was one of the best burgers I have had but the smoked salmon board consisted of 3 pieces of toast, 3 pieces of smoked salmon and some condiments. Salmon was good but really pricey for such a small portion.
The ambiance was very casual but nice.
The service however was very good. Our server Carmelito was top notch!
The service was absolutely amazing the people very friendly and the food was good I enjoyed it I will come back
This restaurant is located in the lobby of the courtyard by the SE hospital, and doesn’t have any signage outside making it hard to find.
It is targeted mostly at guest of the hotel, as it also includes a bar all in one large open area with the hotel checkin.
The menu has changed from what the OpenTable includes and many of the dishes have now increase by $5 or more making this an expensive restaurant in an area with other choices.
The meal was very good with only a couple of minor issues. The service was fantastic; pleasant and attentive. We tried 2 of the appetizer plates...yorkies and the crab dip. The yorkies were great with thinly sliced prime rib in mini yorkshires with a very mild horseradish sauce and arugala. The crab dip was with fresh baked pita chips and although the flavor was good it was somewhat dry (not creamy as expected). My wife had French Onion Soup and I had a caesar salad both which were delicious. The main courses were striploin steak and pork adobo which were also very tasty. Although the meal was very good, all of these first 3 courses seemed to all be somewhat heavy on salt.
This was accompanied with a nice bottle of Pinot Grigo which complemented the food well.
We finished with desserts and coffee and both agreed it was a very good dining experience overall.
Was ok, waiter very friendly.
First time here, and it was a shame it was very quiet. Staff very pleasant, food was good. Bonus music in the outer lobby. Nice place.
This is a very well appointed restaurant / bar in the Seton Marriott. We enjoyed our meal in the lounge and would definitely go back.
Our first time at The Kitchen Table, and definitely not our last! The atmosphere, the food and especially the people, made for a fantastic first visit! Ps - the french onion soup and prime rib (Saturday night special) were some of the best we’ve had. Both are must try’s.
It was our first visit to The Kitchen Table and we were very pleased with the food that was served. But what was most heart warming was the service. Our server took great care of us without making us feel overwhelmed. The ambience is great but I think the restaurant needs to advertise its location and put up a sign to indicate where it is located as it is inside the Courtyard Marriott and there’s no indication of that and so it took us a while to figure out the location.
The restaurant was very quiet for a saturday night - only two other tables were being served so our food came out very quickly. The server was very attentive and engaging, and she did not rush us with the bill. The food was reasonably priced, and we had a lovely dinner. There is parking on street to avoid paying fees in the hotel parking lot.
Second time back and there will be a third.
Great food, great value. Bright and clean ambiance.
The restaurant is tucked away in the Marriott hotel making it difficult to find from the outside as there is no signage on the street.
It was the perfect place to have a date. Not to loud where you can’t speak to one another and the atmosphere made you feel like you were spending your monthly earnings on your date without even sweating the bank! Definitely a future repeat visitor. However, although located within the Marriot hotel, I would not bring my picky children here as there did not seem to be much on the evening menu for the kids but there was a family there so there must have been something.
Me and my boyfriend were there on Christmas day for their 3-course dinner menu. We waited for a good 15-20 minutes to be seated considering I already made reservations. I wasn’t upset because it was a busy season and I totally understand. They offered us a complementary glass of Prosecco each to apologize for the long wait. I really enjoyed their food. I wasn’t expecting much because it was only $30 for a 3-course meal but it was surprisingly really good for the price they charge for it so I am beyond happy. I’m definitely going back!
The Kitchen Table in the Marriott Courtyard, Seton, did and excellent job of Christmas dinner. Set menu with two selections for starter, three main course selections and two dessert selections. Very well presented and tasty. Reasonably priced. Restaurant was clean (very new) and very well decorated in contemporary styles. We enjoyed our dining experience.
Had Christmas dinner here with my girlfriend. The service was awesome as was the food and they even found us a quiet corner away from the crowd, as I had requested when I made the reservation. We will definitely be back.
The prime rib wasn't prime rib or it was a very cheap cut. It was sliced paper thin and was not medium. The mashed pototes were very lumpy, my kid can do better. We went for Christmas dinner so we tipped are server well as she was working Christmas day and we appreciated her for doing that but the service wasn't great. For a Marriott Hotel I would of expected more in the room set up and decor especially on Christmas day. It was no better than a cafeteria setting. I was expecting alot more. Very disappointed in the Marriott. Also we are Marriott members which no one asked us for our acount so no points were earned.
Disappointing from start to finish. Ran out of prime rib special with no one else in the restaurant and then served the special to a table that came in after us. Told us they preordered. Terrible optics! Food was sub par and prices high. Too bad as we live in Auburn Bay and would have loved to support a local business. We will not be back.
We decided to try this restaurant. We both live close by. I have to be honest we weren't expecting much.
We were very pleasantly surprised. The food was great. Our server Lisa was great.
We had the shrimp dumplings although they were a little dry they tasted good. We both had the prime rib burger which was VERY good and big, we shared the finer spice cake which was also fabulous. This was an unexpected gem. Will definitely be back.
Fairly good food and drinks. Nice ambiance. The server was friendly but really slow. I would recommend this place.
Much better options for dining across the street at Starbelly and Tommy Guns. Beautiful decor and nice large group 'island' for larger groups but the services and food are lacking for the price.
First impression is how nice the decor is, so clean and modern in style. We were pleasantly greeted and were seated in a nice area. As for the food, it was fine for the price. My wife had the Caesar salad with chicken-- nice rustic style but we were expecting the chicken to be a little more substantial since it was an extra charge (it was diced, and piled in one spot). I had the steak salad, which was nicely done except that the medium rare steak was arguably medium. Still good though. Overall, a decent experience with some improvement possible.
