Best waitress ever. Food was delicious. We had a wonderful time.

We are members of Childress Winery and love coming to the Bistro for fun, food, and good wine. Never disappointed!

I was pleased with the overall service that I received at the Bistro. I had a reservation at 12:30 and had a meeting scheduled for 1:30 with one of your event coordinators, Suzanne Riggs to go over final details for an upcoming wedding we are coordinating. We didn't get seated until 12:45 which was a bit concerning as I didn't want to be late for my meeting. I had hoped we could linger a little after our meal but since we weren't seated until 15 minutes late, we finished just in time for our 1:30 meeting.

I was excited and had high hopes for a fun and delicious meal. This restaurant feels like a feeding shed, cold and lacking in decor. The food was underwhelming - unoriginal sandwiches and salads. The service was the shining beacon as it was excellent even though the kitchen seemed in the weeds. Most likely will not return.

Really enjoyed our lunch after our tasting. I had the tomato chevre soup and the Italian wrap and both were phenomenal. My husband had a flat bread sandwich and sweet potato fries and throughly enjoyed both. Service was great and wine pairings and dessert were perfect as well. Highly recommend a visit here if you are anywhere in the area

Food was wonderful but the restaurant was a little chilly

Simple menu- 3 entrees- Fillet of beef, scallops and salmon. Everything else is sandwiches, small plates, or salads. Beef was excellent. Caesar salad very good, but it had a fair amount of bacon in it. Had a great bottle of Cabernet, $30, same price as in store, would have cost $60 in a restaurant. Make reservations, they are only open for dinner like once per month. Nice view of the vineyards and the water.

I was surprised by the change in the menu but the new additions are good. The service was amazing from check in to check out! Thw OpenTable, Inc. app could use some tweaking. It offers pull down menus to make changes to your reservations but no way to save the changes. #annoying

Everything was wonderful server Jasmine was very good answering questions about the red wine selections. She was a good waitress, checking back to see that everything was to our satisfaction. I brought a friend who had never been there before and loved the blackened salmon. It was a very nice lunch we both enjoyed. Richard Childress does everything to the top in class!!

I had made the reservation for my boyfriend’s 50th birthday, and while I had called and also spoke to the hostess to make sure they would help me celebrate his birthday, unfortunately that went unnoticed and ruined the surprise. But all in all, we had a good time.

The food was awesome and great prices. The waitress brought our ticket ran our card then came back 20 minutes later and said that was the wrong check and the new one was $30 more.. and reran my card... most places don’t do that so not only was the check more now I have to watch my account to make sure I wasn’t double charged.

We love the bistro! We love to come for the delicious food and wine. The ambiance is great for a nice date night.

The staff were very friendly, the wines we're good, as was the food. Scenery is fantastic! Definitely worth the visit. Make your reservations and get there a bit early and relax.

This was mine and my husbands First experience at the Bistro. It was suppose to be a lovely evening celebrating Valentine’s Day, one of the most romantic days of the year. I made our reservation well in advance and couldn’t wait to dine at the beautiful Childress Vineyards and experience the lovely decor and all that was pictured and advertised. We were greatly misled!! We were seated in an overflow room with no beautiful views right by the door. We felt like we should just get up and leave. Our reservation time was a typical time-7 pm. We aren’t older people who eat at 4 or 5 pm. We arrived a few minutes early checked in and waited to be seated. We thought we were going into the beautiful room overlooking the vineyards, etc. but instead we’re brought to a cold and unromantic over flow room. We asked if we could be moved but it was a stern no. I would fully understand being in an overflow room if I was a last minute reservation but we weren’t!!! Roses were being given to each woman (not purchased given upon seating) but not me. Why? Who knows? My husband had gotten me some already so no big deal just a little rude. Our server was just ok and my meal wasn’t prepared properly but I didn’t say anything because I wanted my husband’s dinner not to get cold. It was just an overall disappointing experience for us. We paid our check and just went on our way 😔 unhappy and discouraged.

Highly recommended for ambience, service and the food. Enjoyed the tuna and filet.
