Everything was wonderful server Jasmine was very good answering questions about the red wine selections. She was a good waitress, checking back to see that everything was to our satisfaction. I brought a friend who had never been there before and loved the blackened salmon. It was a very nice lunch we both enjoyed. Richard Childress does everything to the top in class!!
We went to celebrate a 50th birthday! Fun time!
The food was delicious, especially with the picturesque vineyard as the backdrop.
Outstanding service and excellent food. Always a good experience.
I had made the reservation for my boyfriend’s 50th birthday, and while I had called and also spoke to the hostess to make sure they would help me celebrate his birthday, unfortunately that went unnoticed and ruined the surprise. But all in all, we had a good time.
The food was awesome and great prices. The waitress brought our ticket ran our card then came back 20 minutes later and said that was the wrong check and the new one was $30 more.. and reran my card... most places don’t do that so not only was the check more now I have to watch my account to make sure I wasn’t double charged.
We love the bistro! We love to come for the delicious food and wine. The ambiance is great for a nice date night.
The food is great. The service is super great. The wine is great. The desserts also great.
Absolutely love the scenery, the diversity, and the great staff.
The food was good, not great, and the wine is adequate but also not great. Service was very good.
Always great food and service. Blake is a great waiter. Will be back again!
I have been going to this restaurant since it was opened. I am also a member of the Fast Track Wine Club. I recommend this venue whenever asked about good places to go.
We had a very enjoyable lunch. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great service and great food. Ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese. It was awesome! Best comfort food I have had in a long time.
The staff were very friendly, the wines we're good, as was the food. Scenery is fantastic! Definitely worth the visit. Make your reservations and get there a bit early and relax.
Beautiful view and excellent food.l and wine selection.
This is one of our favorite places! The food, ambience, & service are worth the drive!
The food and service were excellent, beyond expectation. I would have liked more information about the wine during the tasting, though the wine itself was wonderful.
Great fried oysters! Beautiful grounds and views
This was mine and my husbands First experience at the Bistro. It was suppose to be a lovely evening celebrating Valentine’s Day, one of the most romantic days of the year. I made our reservation well in advance and couldn’t wait to dine at the beautiful Childress Vineyards and experience the lovely decor and all that was pictured and advertised. We were greatly misled!! We were seated in an overflow room with no beautiful views right by the door. We felt like we should just get up and leave. Our reservation time was a typical time-7 pm. We aren’t older people who eat at 4 or 5 pm. We arrived a few minutes early checked in and waited to be seated. We thought we were going into the beautiful room overlooking the vineyards, etc. but instead we’re brought to a cold and unromantic over flow room. We asked if we could be moved but it was a stern no. I would fully understand being in an overflow room if I was a last minute reservation but we weren’t!!! Roses were being given to each woman (not purchased given upon seating) but not me. Why? Who knows? My husband had gotten me some already so no big deal just a little rude. Our server was just ok and my meal wasn’t prepared properly but I didn’t say anything because I wanted my husband’s dinner not to get cold. It was just an overall disappointing experience for us. We paid our check and just went on our way 😔 unhappy and discouraged.
Highly recommended for ambience, service and the food. Enjoyed the tuna and filet.
Always makes any visit an event to remember. Consistantly excellent.
Great food in a great setting. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The server was very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Perfect meal and the wait staff are extremely professional and personable. Just wish the kitchen staff would keep the doors closed so we wouldn’t hear the dishes being thrown about. One of my favorite places to eat.
Everything was delicious. Enjoyed our time there very much. Love the Trifecta menu.
Had a good time introducing the winnery to friends. Good time; nice ambience; super service.
My husband and I visited Childress Winery and had lunch at the Bistro in February. The food was good and it is a very nice place but it was freezing in the Bistro...thus making our meal much less than enjoyable. I realize that on the website they warn you of this but in my opinion there is no call for the management to not provide more heat on colder days in The Bistro. Will NOT go back unless it is warmer weather!
I took a friend to lunch because she had never been here before. The food was great and our waiter, Blake was very knowledgeable about the food and the menu. We will be back again soon... Using the Open Table process to make reservations was very convenient.
Buffet only offered at dinner. $35 per person was a bit unexpected for only prime rib chicken and small salmon. - two veggies and salad with basic desserts. Nice place but not sure it is worth the cost for dinner meal. Service was great and enjoyed the setting but not sure it is worth the cost. Lunch is much better choice and not buffet. If they can improve dinner options would be home run.
The food was delicious! We went with a large group of friends and were able to be seated near each other, which was nice. The decor was beautiful and buffet was decorated as well. We will definitely be back.
Always enjoy stopping here for lunch on my way from Charlotte to Winston-Salem.
I traveled to Childress with three other friends from Charlotte to celebrate two January birthdays. We had lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and had a wonderful time. The best parts of the experience were: 1) a WONDERFUL waitress, Becki, who had a wonderful sense of humor and attended to our every need, 2) a WONDERFUL view of the vineyards, and 3) the lovely venue. The trip to Childress is very manageable from Charlotte and only took about 50 minutes one way.
Enjoyed our Sunday lunch with Son and Daughter in law. Will be back soon.
I loved my entire experience at the Bistro. The servers were all polite and prompt. The food and wine were delicious. The view was very nice as well. Great place for lunch with friends! Highly recommend.
Excellent food, and the service was great
Service was top notch. Food was amazing and priced very well for the high quality. Four adult entrees, two appetizers, and one drink each was under $100.
Had a fabulous meal as well as wine tasting. The staff was friendly and professional during our trip, met all of our needs, and I guarantee that I’ll be back.
Excellent food and service. I highly recommend the Red Moscato wine.
The food tasted great and service was good too although a little slow but they were pretty busy which could have been the reason. Atmosphere was nice but be sure to dress warm if temps outside are cold as the bistro has large windows and Is a little drafty.
The service was excellent. The restaurant was extremely cold which detracted from our ability to enjoy the meal.
