The Bistro is now serving out of the Grand pavilion. The food was amazing and we love their wines
We have always enjoyed visiting Childress. I would have preferred the Bistro inside but considering Covid it was better than not going. The ambiance isn’t quite the same as sitting inside in the restaurant though.
We really enjoyed eating at the Bistro. My family was visiting from CT and asked to eat there as I had taken them to the Bistro 2years ago.Everything was excellent, food, service, ambience, all wait staff, and even Covid social distancing was as needed. We will be back again soon and will always try to bring guests
The food and the service are both excellent!
Beautiful, comfortable setting. Friendly, attentive service. Excellent food. Took great safety measures regarding Covid-19.
Fantastic lunch with wonderful service. The original restaurant has more atmosphere, but we are thrilled to have a restaurant to go to during the pandemic.
Nice selection of meals, desserts and beverages for lunch. A beautiful view while we dined and we had a very nice server. Clean, spacious atmosphere.
Scenery looking out over the vineyards was spectacular. Service by Connie was excellent. Food was good, esp the Caesar salad dressing and broccoli/cheese soup. Ambience not quite the same as the original rest in older building. Overall, a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to friends. Will definitely return.....
Our waiter was awesome! Lady at the entrance was kind of rude. Food would have been great except the burgers had too much seasoning or something because they were too salty otherwise they looked tasty. My friends really enjoyed their pizza and salad. Fries were yummy. Atmosphere was lovely.
A good variety of both appetizers that can be shared among the table and individual meals that pair well with a variety of wines.
We love to dine at The Bistro at Childress Vineyards. The food and service were excellent. They have a varied menu and you always get a lot for your dollar. Atmosphere and scenery can't be beat.
Perfect setting to celebrate a birthday in these times. Tables were well distance and all wore masks.
Great food every time we go! Friendly wait staff are well trained.
We always love our visits to the vineyard! The food and environment are the best!
The food was fabulous, our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable, Covid safety protocols were evident. A wonderful experience in a beautiful location. Felt as if we were in a faraway spot celebrating our 37th anniversary.
We decided to have lunch at the Bistro as part of my wife's 60th birthday celebration. Four of us were there. The service was excellent as was the food. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were very large, which was totally unexpected for a restaurant named 'The Bistro' at a winery. Of course any of the wines available at the winery were also available for consumption with your meal. We are looking forward to visiting both the winery and The Bistro again in the future.
Olga was amazing and so was Olivia. My first time here and it was amazing.
So good to have a nice meal during the pandemic. Our first.
Food was amazing again! From the soup, the entree, drinks to the dessert everything was so delicious. Even my everyday sandwich was the best I’ve had ever. Their maple, cinnamon sweet potato fries are incredible & I highly recommend you try them. The Bistro is now set up in the large pavilion that is usually used for large parties/receptions so the tables are widely spread apart for social distancing. Servers are wearing masks and Connie was very knowledgeable & helpful. Will absolutely be back. :)
Good food, ambiance, attentive waitress, social distancing, clean.
Beautiful relaxing view.
Music was a little loud at first but was turned down.
Hands down the best dining experience during this pandemic time. Tables are well spaced out, facility is beautiful and very clean. The food was delicious! I did not get to enjoy the wine as I was there for a work meeting. Great job, Childress Vineyards- keep up the great work!
Our 9 month old granddaughter was with us for lunch. When our daughter took the baby to the restroom to change her diaper, there was no where to lay the baby. We had to take her outside to change her. Really need a changing table or a KolaKare changing table (attached to the wall). Glad it wasn’t cold or raining.
I realize that we need to social distance, and am thrilled we did, but lunch in the Pavillion is nowhere near as intimate as the Bistro.
Everything was wonderful as usual!
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. We always come here for special occasions!
We received outstanding service and incredible food! Each item was expertly prepared with amazing flavor and quality. We had heard wonderful comments about the restaurant and had high expectations and our experience was outstanding!!
Food and Service was great. Unfortunately the Pavilion is not conducive to a quiet meal. There were several very loud tables at the front and the sound echoed all across the building. The acoustics are terrible! We asked to be moved from the front and our waitress accommodated us. The food was good and service was wonderful, I just wish that the management had addressed the issue with their loud patrons.
we had reservations ,, got seated right off the bat ..couldnt get waited on after that ...after 20 mins we went outside got wine bottle to drink , then camne back inside to drink it and wait ..a person then came by apoligized for taking so long ..after about 5 mins more they took action , ..took our order stayed alert and did a good job ....
We had a great meal at The Bistro. Three out of four of us got the petite filet. They were all delicious. The mashed red skin potatoes were incredible. The fourth person got a wrap that was so big, they could only eat half. He said it was very good as well. Overall, the experience was great. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The only negative was the noise level. They had us in the pavilion (presumed it was for social distancing reasons). There were some loud tables and the construction of the pavilion does not help with sound mitigation. We will definitely be back. NOTE: Wine tasting ends at 5:00. We arrived at 4:30 for our meal so we missed out on that. We will plan to arrive early next time. Also, MAKE A RESERVATION ON OPEN TABLE !!
Had a great lunch last Friday at the Bistro at Childress. I got the Judy's chicken wrap with a ceasar salad and it was delicous! Our server Kailyn was so sweet. She did a great job taking care of us and making wine suggestions(white summer sangria) yum! The guest I brought with me was her first time at Childress and we both had a wonderful experience.
Taylor and her trainer Tara did an outstanding job! They were friendly, welcoming, and very engaging. The friendly staff contributed greatly to our pleasurable experience.
Service was awesome and food was excellent great place to enjoy a comfortable place
It was my wifes first and my second. The food was delicious and it was more than an ample amount. your wait staff was very efficient and courteous. We will definitely be back.
A group of my church friends came to the Bistro to celebrate our friends birthday. We enjoyed it so much we decided to come back once a month. The food and service wonderful. It’s great to have such a extraordinary place to eat in our community.
Our wait staff was very attentive and anticipated our needs. The food was excellent.
Gracie is our favorite server. We come here often and the bistro never disappoints.
Would of gave all 5 stars if they didn't run out of the ribeye. Other than that it was amazing.
The service and the food was great. We all had a great time.
The only issue I had is with the menu in the bistro. I ordered the Salmon entree and added a house salad. Per the menu it states (add 1.50) therefore I understood that I would be adding 1.50 to my entree for a salad. However, when I received my ticket, the waitress explained that the salad is 3.00 plus an additional 1.50. The menu does not clarify this and I feel that a review and some changes should be made so that customers are aware of the pricing of items since all the other menu items have pricing on them. The manager (karen)on duty was nice and took care of my concerns. If this can be resolved I would like to have another great experience at the childress vineyards! Thank you in advance for possibly taking my review into consideration!
