Excellent food and wine, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant and winery.
As it was my birthday celebration, it was a wonderful luncheon with gorgeous views of the vineyards from the Bistro. Staff was very accommodating, but the wait staff was young and unseasoned. Most everything was acceptable, but service (in particular timeliness) could have been better.
Love this place. We are from upstate NY and We come to NC a few times a year and each time we make sure that we stop for lunch.
Good food. Always cold in restaurant if cold outside - wish that were different.
Love the Bistro. Great food. I had the pimento burger special with truffle Parmesan fries! Excellent... a good variety of salads and sandwiches... and the Holiday Sangria was lovely served and tasted great!
Lunch time the Honey Walnut Chicken Salad Croissant just Amazing and wine tasting is a real treat then you take the tour Awesome afternoon for a couple or group Love this place
We have eaten here many times and the food service and,of course the wine is always great
Best filet ever!! Our server Tiffany was awesome. Beautifully decorated for Christmas!! Loved looking through the shop. Rainy day so we did not do a tour
It was my daughters 21st birthday, she absolutely loved the winery. We had lunch in the bistro, did a wine tour and wine tasted.
Wonderful as always. Love our waitress, Paula. She is a gem.
Will return soon in January with friendship
This place is astonishing. Me and my fiancé absolutely loved it. Everything was just so amazing. The food, our waiter, the view. Everything
Enjoyable atmosphere and delicious lunch.
Great ambiance with the lovely Christmas decorations. I enjoyed visiting after Thanksgiving to start the holiday season!
I guess I was confused with the buffet dinner like I attended last year. I thought my first FB add I saw said Buffett. My steak since I ordered well done was crappy quality probable cut from the end and fat and grissely. I chewed down on a bite and I don’t even try to chew that. My dinner guests said theirs was wonderful. My brie appetizer was way over cooked. I had thought there would be more people like last year. The foyer entrance was empty and hardly no one in the gift shop. Service slow but when we left the shop closed and a couple doing photos at the tree. Just not festive enough maybe we came to the wrong dinner.
One of us got the special of the day which was penne pasta, chicken and veggies in an amazing sauce. Delicious! The other got the scallops which were also delicious!
This is one of our favorite places for a relaxing Saturday lunch. We grab a bottle of wine, or two and enjoy the atmosphere. Wine tastings available, tours and even fun events throughout the year are held. Their Facebook page has great information about upcoming events.
It was our first visit to the vineyard. Christmas décor was stunning. While my daughter and a friend enjoyed the tasting I enjoyed sitting and watching people. Unfortunately it was a very rainy day and we could enjoy the view. Our lunch at the Bistro was wonderful and our server was helpful and adorable. Hopefully we plan another visit during the holiday season. Oh before I forget we totally enjoyed the APPLE CIDER MIMOSA. It was awesome. Thanks for a wonderful day.
We had the most wonderful time, can’t wait to do it again!
This place is always a winner! The Assistant Manager, Kendra, is an outstanding ambassador for the Bistro and the Winery! Top-notch, friendly service every time!
Great visit to Childress Vineyards - great variety of affordably priced, topnotch entrees, friendly, attentive service , and a comfortable, casual atmosphere, all accompanied by the excellent wines and tasting room. Always fun to dine for lunch
The waitress was awesome , almost as good a the wine and food
Nice view. Food was good, not super high end but good. Wine is well priced.
Good wine, great food, great service.
Excellent celebration with tremendous food and awesome service! Each of the six of us ordered different items, and each of us loved our food! The flights of red wines were fabulous!! The staff brought a birthday dessert for our oldest son and gave us a military discount for Veterans Day. A wonderful choice for a very special occasion!!
Great food, great wine, beautiful view. It's expensive, but no more than going to a higher end restaurant in Greensboro. The wine is decently priced, and the staff is really knowledgeable.
I took my husband there for his birthday, and we were disappointed that the Trifecta isn't on the menu anymore. That used to be one of the best things they had to offer. Hopefully they'll bring it back.
Nice menu and atmosphere...always go there when we either go to Lexington or drive thru.
The food and service were both excellent. It was a cold day, though and the tables that were close to the windows/ glass doors were very chilly. I had to wear my jacket throughout the meal. I will definitely go back, but would request a different table.
Excellent spot for three old friends to meet for a birthday celebration. Food and service were excellent. We enjoyed shopping too.
Blake was an excellent waiter!!!
This was our second visit. We were surprised that the server didn’t follow protocol for parenting the wine considering it’s a winery. Food was great! Being off-season of sorts, it was very cozy. Pleasant day trip from Charlotte.
This is always our go to meeting place for the treasured times we can get together. And the Bistro never disappoints. The staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful, without hovering. The food is locally sourced and absolutely delicious, served in a lovely dining room overlooking the vineyard. The availability of a wine tasting before or after our meal is icing on the cake, and the wines prove shockingly delicious!
Our waiter was not very good. Didn’t ask if we wanted another drink or water. I asked for salt and he passed me 3 times before he brought it. We had salads and later noticed tables near us had bread. That was not offered to us. Over all we did not feel good about the service .
Great food, location and atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone and hope to return!
What a wonderful way to start a romantic anniversary weekend. I had made reservations earlier in the week glad I did! Those without were being turned away and that made me look like a hero in my girlfriends eyes. We were seated right away and the scenic views from our table were spectacular. Our waiter greeted us shortly after we were seated and made sure we knew we had all the time we needed to enjoy our experience. Glass of classic red and then ordered lunch. Waiter paid very close attention to my dates GF needs with her menu choice. There was a large group that were seated at the tables next to us and they were quite loud to the point I felt like we were yelling at times. That aside enjoyed a very nice lunch and departed for a very nice walk in the vineyards.
This was a first time visit and we couldn’t have been more pleased. It’s easy to see why you are so successful. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.
Maybe the only things... it was cold inside... maybe install a heater system or something... and the open hours... only 3 hour... I wish I can enjoy this place in sunsets...
I will request not being seated near the entrance next time. There was a draft coming thru making it very uncomfortable.
Our first time w friends. We almost froze which made our experience very unpleasant. Food was great, but seated next to a window w a draft. We all had on our coats during lunch and this was mid-October. Lovely setting, but wines are not very good. The Bistro made the trip worthwhile.
As always the service and food were excellent, and it was a nice time spent with friends in a beautiful atmosphere, always enjoy visiting when in town and can't wait until the next time!
