   Delicious food, great atmosphere and service (although please stop trying without even asking to take our food and drinks away before we've finished!). I'd definitely recommend friends and family here and we'll be back.

   Rude service. Waited 20 minutes to get served and when I asked for some tap water we got told to wait. After going to counter in the end to order cheese a further 15mins until they came and asked us what wine we wanted. I love bishops cave we have been coming for years and we rave about it to all! Staff have really let this beautiful place down on this occasion, we hope next time will be better.

   The food is great with some lovely cheeses to choose from. The service was not as good as we struggled to attract peoples attention if we wanted anything.

   First time visiting this restaurant..great place…really good quality food and wine with very knowledgeable waiter….we’ll be back again. So good I bought a voucher for my daughter to visit.

    This was booked as my friends surprise birthday lunch, we arrived 12:50 as our booking was booked for 1pm and advised to arrive 10 minutes earlier… the restaurant wasn’t open and our surprise was ruined due to having to wait outside in the rain I was trying to telephone the restaurant and just a answer machine saying the restaurant is closed! I was getting concerned and all very embarrassing as I had booked for the whole party… at 1pm I saw a staff member in the restaurant so I knocked and she shouted we are not open yet! I said we have a booking and she said we have to wait while she goes to the cellar the whole time we are in the rain and the wind! When we we’re finally allowed in she really wasn’t bothered! The service was terrible and she only took our order and that was it until we asked for the bill. We would of ordered more drinks if asked and we had to go to the bar to ask for knives and something items missing from our order. When we left no one said goodbye or acknowledge us. My friend who’s birthday it was has been here before and spoke highly of here before we hadn’t been before and was excited about coming… unfortunately we are left very disappointed and feeling let down.     Love this place. Mixed board is DE-LICIOUS!! You get 2 x cheeses and a selection of salamis/charcuterie. Lots of biscuits and some grapes. Soooo good. The wine selection is great too. This place is a winner!
