For some reason my pizza was sitting in watery liquid and inedible. They did offer to cook another but I declined.
My partner’s pizza was only half in liquid so we shared half of that.
Came here for Sunday lunch and was very pleased with the food & the service we will definitely be coming again
From the outside this pub doesn't look anything special but it was very nice. The Sunday roast was only a choice of two meats either beef or pork when we were there both of which came with a selection of veg, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. There is no other food options on a Sunday which was disappointing as my daughter is not a fan of Sunday roast but we made do. The food was lovely, hot, fresh and well cooked. The service was slow but due to staff shortages this seems be a common theme in Brixham. All in all it was a good choice for Sunday lunch and we would visit again if we ever go back to Brixham
The food was overpriced and the service was nothing special. No one was particularly friendly or approachable
Short menu but enjoyed our choices. Portion sizes on the small side for mains. Puddings less imaginative than mains
Very friendly, pleasant service.
A great place to eat and drink. The food is just perfect every time. Highly recommended
Family of 4 - good good, kids food was plenty big enough - kids burger was amazing, the burgers are made on-site. Had the mushroom linguine which was amazing. Tried the mango ale was was actually surprisingly nice. All in all was good easy casual.
Seats were comfy, wine was good, the staff were very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious
Lovely staff, newly decorated, nice atmosphere. Food tasted great but limited menu
The food was great in this little pub just beyond Central Car Park in Brixham.
Service was excellent and everywhere was cleaned between diners we ordered ribeye steak which came with a garlic butter on top but the steak was so Luke warm the butter never melted it was tender but I suspect it was cook chill rubbish hence we have cancelled our table for Friday evening the waitress passed our comments on to the chef but we got no response from him
Food very tasty and great, personal service. Also felt very COVID safe
Really good, traditional Sunday roast with excellent vegetables. Staff truly charming and attentive. Bit lacking in atmosphere, bit that may be due the place being quite quiet. Would recommend for a quality, quiet Sunday lunch.
Will go back again
Great service and a small but tasty menu. Good for kids.
Small but imaginative menue. Two or three more choices would have been good. Food was very good and tasted great, but rather small portions.
Service and menue knowledge was very good
Different menu to what is online, struggled with it ended up with the plaice. Starter was walnut pate I found this tasteless with a thick layer of fat on the top. Partner had brevette steak said it was tasty but tough. Service was good staff friendly just wished they made it clear online what the menu was as we wouldn't have booked it.
Good Food, Great Staff, Nice place . Would definitely go back.
The pub could be better but covid restrictions are having an effect on the overall ambience doesn't feel happy.
Good food and well priced. Service on point. Thanks guys!
The only one hiccup is that they didn't have a chicken or turkey on Sunday, I think most children, oaps and fussy eaters would appreciate it, I would for my children as I'm definitely coming back. Everything else was lovely, I had beef and it was cooked perfectly, the presentation was great, ambiance and decor was nice. Staff lovely and quick service.
Delicious food served by friendly and attentive staff in a comfortable and stylish room. Absolutely the best steak I have had in as long as I can remember with every accompaniment just perfect.
A welcome treat.
This is normally our go to place for Sunday lunch, but yesterday was a disappointment. The plates were cold so our food got cold before we could finish it and the red cabbage and carrots were only lukewarm when they arrived. Added to that my beef was full of gristle and inedible. I did bring this up with the waitress at the time, and asked her to pass it on to the kitchen staff.
they over sold themselves, we went there expecting a gastro pub, it it's just a decent pub. Not great, not bad. if you're hungry and need a drink its fine, but not a gastroenterologist's delight.
Lovely place and staff
Fabulous as always, we have been coming here for Sunday lunch since it opened (with a gap for Covid) . Plenty of really good food and excellent table service.
Fantastic all round
Loverly evening good value
Wonderful staff, so friendly and accommodating. The food all be it a small menu (for Covid reasons) was wonderful and the home made chips are unbelievable.
Fantastic service, delicious food! We were very impressed.
Excellent food and service. Good choice of meals and staff really friendly. Highly recommended.
