The Birch - In Terrace Park

I brought my friend here for her birthday with our husbands and this was the perfect summer spot. It's secluded enough to have an intimate conversation, the waitstaff are attentive but don't hover and the food is tasty. They have a limited menu for gluten free options, though I didn't ask too many questions. The wine and drinks selection is perfect with something for everyone and the waitstaff gave good recommendations on food and wine. Thanks for making a special day more special!

Another great dining experience at the Birch! Really delicious food, outstanding service and wonderful atmosphere! We will definitely continue to dine there.

I only wish we had been told that for a corkage fee, we could purchase and share any of the retail bottles of wine in the wine cellar!

Good food and friendly atmoshere. They make great paninis. This would be the perfect spot for wine and apps. They have a nice wine list. We will return.

They have the loveliest outdoor patio in the city. But it rained so we sat inside today. I almost always get the Cuban. It’s delicious but today we tried the turkey Reuben which was equally good.

We liked the place but it was extremely loud that I barely could hear my wife. We loved the barbs chicken sandwich and the BLT taco special. Will give it another try. Maybe the outdoor seating might be better.

Looking for a clean and fresh meal without too many layers...Chef Alex keeps the food clean and healthy. Nice job Alex:) The bar and servers were awesome too:) Keep it up:)

Non alcoholic beer like St Pauli Girl NA would have been great. Servers should wear some sort of casual uniform.

Enjoyed the Birch very much. Tasty chicken tacos, chopped salad, Ochoa brownie, and superb wine! Above all, the service was excellent and the noise level perfect.

Wait staff is adorable and kind. Food is delicious! And- they even make skinny margs!! Love this place!!

Everything was good. The beers came out 2 inches below the glass top. We would hope for full glasses given the prices.

Great outdoor dining!

I cannot say enough good things about The Birch. I have been a frequent client there with friends for lunch and others for dinner as much as the pandemic would allow. I have never been unhappy. We have always had good service and a delicious meal! Thursday evening, May 13 was no exception. Had reservations for six people but only five of us were able to go. And when we asked for a quieter table we got it! Thanks so very much. The special tacos were great and the special sandwich was wonderful . Our friends, two who had never been and one who is back for the second time, were not disappointed. I was thrilled. Thanks to The Birch. I will be back frequently as the warm weather arrives and our pandemic restrictions are slowly being lifted.

The food is excellent and the staff is so friendly and helpful! The prices are a little bit on the higher side for this kind of restaurant but it's the perfect date night spot for a solid meal and glass of wine. We will be back!

We sat outside in a beautiful courtyard. We ordered the special, it was pork tacos, they were just ok. But the apps and drinks were good.

Stephanie was a wonderful server and recommended the Birch burger! Oh em gee!! So good!

Dinner was great. Charcuterie was an excellent start to the evening. Entrees were delicious and came out very quickly. Restaurant is very well set up for Covid requirements, felt very safe and spaced out. We've also done carryout from the Birch which works very nicely as well!

A true neighborhood gem, and though the menu is small everything is made to perfection. We are looking forward to outside dining soon!

Great place!

Food and service are always consistently wonderful! A favorite "go-to" place for lunch or dinner. Traditional food with a modern twist.

Sum it up with “not accommodating”. We are first time customers with reservations. We were seated at the worst table next to the bathrooms. Asked to be moved to a nicer location but were denied as tables unavailable. Those unavailable tables were available during our entire dinner...hummm. We spend a lot of money dining out, but not here again. Disappointed.

This was my first trip to The Birch but was for a birthday lunch. We had the grilled romaine salad which was very good, and the crab cakes were good but rather small portion size of two cakes.

Prices are comparable to other restaurants. The service was a bit slow and we were the first reservation time of the day - 12 noon. I had to find the waiter for my check and water was never refilled. A bottle on the table would have helped. I must add that it was a beautiful sunny Saturday in March so lots of people came to sit outside which I don’t think made the service easy.

First time visiting. Food was amazing. We had to continue to ask for refills of our drinks and wine. We would have gotten more wine had the waiter checked on us. We had reservations at 6pm. After being seated and given water it was a long wait for the waiter to return to take our order. Once we got our food (which was amazing) he hardly came back to the table. When he finally returned I went to order another dish and and more wine and was told by the waiter that the table had another reservation at 7:30 (this was at 6:50pm). I felt like 40 minutes was plenty of time to spend more money and found it very unprofessional for the waiter to mention the time. Once the second dish came back we never saw him again until he brought the check at 7:20pm. We could have had multiple glasses of wine in this time frame. I felt the service was less to be desirable.

This was our first visit to Birch, but it won’t be our last. We had excellent service and tasty food in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. We’ll recommend to others.

It was wonderful as usual

Loved the atmosphere but it was a little loud in the main room.

Once again, a great job by the staff. Service and food always top notch CHRIS the bartender makes a mean Old Fashioned Taco of the day very tasty and my wife's crab cakes perfect as usual.
