Love the location and the ambiance. The Big Ketch has it all - food is delicious and the portions are just right, some very nice wines to select from and our server was excellent and to top it off - convenient valet parking. We are putting this one on our list of "let's go hear regularly".

I'm not a seafood fan but I took a bullet for Date Night with the Mrs. so she could get a Lobster Roll. I have to say that the Shrimp and Grits and Calamari where the best I have had! My wife loved the Lobster roll.

This was our second visit to the Big Ketch on Canton Street. Our first visit was poor service with below average food for the price. Being in the foo.d industry I always give a restaurant another chance to overcome the prior experience. I can tell you the second visit was as disappointing as the first. The server was below average with zero suggestions regarding specials or daily fresh catches. Never asked us for dessert or coffee. The catfish was over cooked and the fish & chips was tasteless. The fish & chips was served with fried pita chips because the didn’t have chips as stated on the menu which was told to us upon serving the meal. The highlight was the car valet attendant who was first class .

I went for the first time with one of my friends for dinner. The staff was super friendly and helpful! The food was very good. I had the Reel big Ketch crab cakes, shrimp, scallops, Brussels sprouts, and lobster bisque soup. The only thing I didn’t care for was the soup. Everything else was great. Our waiter was super attentive made sure we didn’t need anything.

Excellent food and great service. The waitress was great, grouper was excellent, and drinks were fantastic. The blackened shrimp and scallops were so good I kept stealing bites off my friend's plate. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back! 😋

First visit and was very happy. Good food selection and we had a variety of items. The hush puppies were a great sharing item and the Ahi tuna was cooked to perfection. I also recommend the lobster roll. Great butter toasted bun and a ton of lobster with no fillers. We also had a couple of their signature cocktails. Looking forward to trying others next time.

We were all very pleased with our food. The waitress, Angie, was friendly, well-informed, and attentive. One of the best restaurants in historic Roswell.

Our server's knowledge of the menu was abysmal; bleu cheese dressing was ordered on the side with a salad and he served a side of bleu cheese rather than explaining that the restaurant didn't have bleu cheese dressing. Ranch dressing was ordered to replace the bleu cheese and a new salad delivered instead. The fried shrimp and scallops we're ordered as one of the entrees; both were overcooked. When asked to replace the overcooked items with grilled instead, additional fried (overcooked) shrimp we're served. I ordered the special (red snapper) I was good but a very small portion.

Went on July 3rd and they weren’t prepared for the number of customers, so no valet parking and service was quite slow. But will definitely go back!!

The special cocktails we ordered were very good. We liked the lobster bisque very much--just a hint of sherry. The crab dip was a bit salty for us. My husband had the sweet seafood curry bowl which he liked very much. My lump crab cakes were OK, but not so lumpy. At least there was not a lot of filler. We ate all that was served and asked for the check. They brought us a surprise for our anniversary--champagne and dessert!

We have been to this restaurant a few times and enjoyed the food. We like sitting on the patio. This time, I ordered the ahi tuna appetizer which was good, although not as much tuna as I expected. I ordered a ceasar salad and they sort of overdid it on the parmesan cheese. The waiter was exceptionally nice and service oriented and brought me some salad dressing to compensate for the parm.

Bagged potato chips were served with $18. meal. Crab cakes $28. Were so dry I could not eat them. When asked about the meal I explained. Server disappeared quickly. Server reached over me to get glass to refill. Okay. Problem I could not reach to my left when he sat it back down as far left as possible. Had heard great things about the place. Really disappointed. Trying to decide if I would go again. We visited Hugo’s a while back. It was friendlier, better food, and left happy. Do you go to the know it’s good or try again. Wish them better days.

What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I typically go out to eat on Saturday night after church and are always looking for something new. I was going through YELP for something new to us and found the Big Ketch. It appealed to me since it took reservations. We are not keen on long waits at first come first serve restaurants. We also liked the fact that there was valet parking. We found the menu to be full of things we wanted to try and the service was outstanding. We have already recommended this to a couple of friends and we are planning on returning soon.

I had a Quinoa salad and the mussels appetizer. The former was good quantity but could have used a touch of simple dressing like olive oil to moisten it and add a little flavor. The mussels, per the menu, sounded like they would a little spicy which was an incentive. However, they and the liquid were very bland and the portions, compared to other restaurants, was about half the size for comparable prices. Others at the table ordering the mussels had the same opinion.

The seating for couples is not intimate. The rooms are dominated by big tables for large groups. The food was bland and did not live up to expectation. $20-30 plates where the food was blah. The mussel appetizer was not savory and came with an unusually small number of mussels. The broth was thin and uninteresting. The curry dish had only a hint of real Thai flavor with a thin and weak sauce and no heat whatsoever. Our salads came ou after the main dish was served. The staff was friendly but minimally attentive. Overall, a blah experience not worth the $80 ticket.

We enjoy regular dining at this location but the Father’s Day brunch could us some improvement. We had a party of six and were squeezed into a booth near the bar when there were many open large tables in the dining room that would’ve been much more comfortable. The food on the buffet left a bit to be desired. The shrimp and grits were great but there were hardly any grits. The cutting station beef and fish were dry. It could’ve used more salad and light fare options. They ran out of smoked salmon around 3 and did not replenish many of the dishes in a timely manner, or at all, even though it was supposed to go until 4. I appreciate that they tried to offer a reasonably priced buffet for $35/person but it definitely needs to be fine tuned and managed better before I would try a buffet here again.

We are loyal Big Ketch customers. We love the food and the ambience. We booked a Father's Day Brunch {6 people, 2 of them kids}. The price of brunch was $35 for adult and $17 for kids. No drinks were included. The food was well below the standard we have come to expect, and basically what was available for the kids was scrambled eggs and french toast. Overpriced and disappointing.

Great, with the exception of the couple with two small kids at the bar. When did it become ok to bring children to the bar? We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and the last thing we wanted to deal with was two antsy little girls running around because they were board, while their parents sat there with their take home box and an empty beer. We don’t go to family restaurants expecting an amazing dining experience, we understand kids are around and are respectful of that. So, it would be nice if restaurants, especially those in predominantly adult driven areas like Old Roswell would take back their bar and not let it become Chuck E Cheese.
Thank you!

This is our second time dining here and the food was not as good as the our first dining experience. The presentation of the food was a little on the sloppy side. We were seated without cutlery and when our food came we still weren’t given cutlery, had to request it a few times. Our waitress explained that they were a little understaffed, so that may of explained why things were a little off.
