the best thing about the Big Ketch was our waitress, Brittany. She was attentive and genuinely interested in seeing that we enjoyed ourselves.

My husband ordered the fried catfish and I had the lobster sandwich. They were good, but not memorable. The collard greens with the catfish were too vinegary. The Brussels sprouts with the lobster sandwich were unremarkable.

Toooo many kids. Not organized, food arrived before silverware. But they face us a round of complimentary beer. Sweet waitress.

We had a very unfortunate experience at Big Ketch and were unable to get food or drinks or even place an order for dinner after waiting patiently at our table for an hour and a half. We finally had to get up and go to a neighboring restaurant to eat. I don’t think we will be going back to Big Ketch.

Air conditioning didn’t work. Food took over an hour to be delivered to the table. The kitchen chose to replace my scallop order with shrimp, the hostess did not check us in to verify to “Open Table” that we arrived for our reservation, and it wasn’t until the bill came that the staff delivered the first apology for the experience and gave us a free appetizer card for our next visit. There will not be a next visit.

Lots of our group got the hot lobster roll. And it was good. Plenty of lobster meat and it was quite hot. I had the Brussel sprout side and it was excellent. Staff was courteous. Wait time was none. We will go back

Nice place. Good food at reasonable prices. Attentive and accommodating waitstaff. Music could have been a teeny bit lower. Nice outside terrace although pollen level would not allow us to try it out. Place has an open airy feel.

Have eaten here several times before and enjoyed. Last night a Tuesday was awful. Service was exceedingly slow. Crab cakes were dry. Brussels sprouts which are usually awesome were just so so. Hush puppies are all we could rave about. Parking not available and no valet. So disappointed!

We were seated in the bar right next to a highboy with a load party enjoying cocktails. Service was slow and perfunctory. They serve the soup (considered a side) with the main dish which is odd. No spoon was given - we had to ask...and then she brought a plastic one!! The salad side was very small and not very tasty - too much dressing, hardly any greens and way too many cardboard croutons. Very limited wine list. We didn't have dessert.

Have been to Big Ketch multiple times and always enjoyed. On this evening we introduced another couple to the restaurant, they thoroughly enjoyed. Owner came by to meet and great us, was very nice. Server was attentive, food, as always, was excellent.

Food was good but a little expensive for what we got. We were sat at a table that was in a corner when there were plenty of booths and tables available that weren’t so cramped. Not sure why.

Thumbs up to the lobster and shrimp dip and the lobster rolls for starters (the dip was the better of the two). The lobster bisque was a big hit, better than the clam and corn chowder (came out lukewarm). Hushpuppies are a must. Three of us had the grouper, all spiced differently and we all loved it. The other person in our party had scallops and shrimp and she raved about her lunch. Dessert menu nothing to write home about. Make another stop at someplace you really like for that. Service was slow, but the server was nice enough. All in all, a good experience and enjoyed the food and the company.

My experience was mixed. First of all, our server, Jackson, was excellent. He did all he could to make things good for us. The owner and/or managers also checked on us and were very nice. The seafood was good, the sides were average - except the hushpuppies which were very good, actually. The main issue lowering my score was the kitchen. They got backed up and were very slow. Took an hour to get served - had to change our plans to accommodate the delay. We were compensated with a free dessert, which was nice. Not sure if the fault for the slow kitchen was low staff or kitchen management - I tend to think it was understaffed. It's worth a try for the seafood but don't go when you're in a time constraint.

I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Food was inconsistent: fried calamari and kids' shrimp was bland, but vegetables were good, salmon was good. Mojito was too sweet, predictable I suppose at $5. The hostess made no effort to give us options to sit outside though we requested, and within minutes of us sitting down we saw a patio table open up. That's critical because the inside ambiance isn't an asset. Valet service was slow when we left. Overall not a bad experience, but I felt like I was charged Canton St prices for a non-Canton St experience.......

This is one of the better seafood restaurants. Crab Cakes were very good made with lump crabmeat and little "fillings". Scallops cooked perfectly. Only drawback is that the entrance is not handicap-friendly.

The food was great! But it took forever to get before dinner drinks and coffee with dessert. That really messed up and otherwise great meal. Appetizers eaten before drinks wine and cocktails arrived. Dessert eaten before coffee arrived.

The restaurant is attractive and split up over three main areas. The bar area was nicely appointed and there was live music. We decided on the restaurant because they had hush puppies, which did not disappoint. We tried fish tacos and fish and chips. The fish tacos were delicious. The fish and chips with brussel sprouts were so so. We would go back and double up on the fish tacos!

The host was very accommodating after we showed up with an extra child. The service was good, it was a busy Saturday night, so taking that into account. Other reviews raved about the patio, but the weather did not cooperate for us, which means we must go back as it gets warmer and try it then.
