Had a reservation for 6:45, arrived at 6:40. Hostess told us it would be 45 minutes before we could be seated. She said she could seat us on the patio. The evening was cold and raining, the patio was packed with tables, noisy, and live music was about to start on the patio. We asked the hostess why we would have to wait so long to eat inside the building when we had a reservation, she said in a rather rude tone “you should have requested to eat inside when you made the reservation “. This was our first visit to the restaurant so we were unaware that it would be necessary for us to be specific as to where we would not want to sit! We took a table on the patio rather than leave.
The patio was crammed with tables thanks to a birthday 12 top. The the staff had a very hard time moving thru the patio space as did the customers. Lots of complaining by the customers. Way too loud thanks to the live music and the packed in crowd!
Our waitress was nice and did her best under difficult conditions.
We will not be back.

We enjoyed our Valentines Day at this restaurant. Had a rocky start with our Uber driver but our kind waitress went above and beyond to make our night better and we ended up having a fun night. Enjoyed the beach ambience and seafood was fresh.

It was Valentine’s Day and the preset menu was Fabulous. My husband and I ate different options and was both pleased. It seemed to be small portions but it was actually the perfect sizing ... I was pleasantly SATISFIED

I've passed The Big Catch hundreds of times without any thought of stopping. Looking through Open Table and deciding to try something different, thought we'd give it a try especially with all the positive reviews. I cannot believe how good it was! First off, service (Natalie) was excellent...prompt and with great advice. The food was outstanding...Corn, Clam Chowder, Lobster roll, grouper, boat drinks...I thought I was on Key West! Needless to say, we'll be regulars from here on out. Do yourself a favor and check these folks out. I feel like an idiot for living here so long and paying 2x for less satisfying food.

We have eaten at The Big Catch many times and enjoyed the food immensely. However, this time I ordered the lobster salad and it was just awful! Hardly any lobster and the lettuce was bitter.

Food is awesome and service is outstanding. This was our first time dining here, but from the first moment we walked in the door, we felt like we were in for something special. The lobster spring rolls are amazing. Would highly recommend the seafood pot pie which is a specialty dish. Casual dining atmosphere where the food is priced just right. This may now become our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. We will be back as much as we can.

Had a reservation for 7:00, but they said it would be an extra 30 minutes. They blamed it on open table, however one could tell they were just seating people as they came in rather than use the reservations. The food was amazing, as usual, however the server rarely came by and usually had to send up a flare to get his attention

Been there several times. Friendly staff, live music, and good seafood. Not a large place, but I haven't waited that long when I have a reservation.

Ambiance was cool. Live band that kept the croud engaged. Great customer service. The food was good. I ordered the Reel Big Ketch; food was seasoned well with a decent portion size. Although the appetizer plates were smaller than expected. The cheesecake desert was very good. Probably the best part of the entire meal. Not to sweet yet fulfilled that sweet craving. 😊 I would definitely return.

This was our second visit to The Big Ketch. We had reservations and was seated promptly. Carlos was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. He had great suggestions. My daughters diet is somewhat limited due to allergies. It’s nice to know that they have a house seasoning blend that works.

Fun and lively seafood restaurant with tasty food and libation selections worthy of a pub on Martha’s Vineyard! Lobster bisque, hot buttery lobster roll, sweet & spicy shrimp po’Boy and more. The menu is quite impressive. Servers are attentive and very pleasant. Self-parking is ample.
