   The only reason(s) not 5 stars across all categories: Several menu items were not available and the food came out slow. At the beginning of the meal, the server was not attentive to our table. As the meal progressed, she made effort to get to know us and make sure we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

   We always love having a gathering and dinner at Big Creek! Great food, beautiful view and setting. It is a pleasure to have this gem in a nice country setting. Highly recommend!

   Big Creek Lodge is always worth the visit. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Food is great. This time though the Ribeye lacked a little something. Everyone else raved about their meals.. I will definitely be back.. By far one of the best places to eat and hike...

   Nice atmosphere with a gorgeous view of Hanging Rock mountain. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

   One of our family's absolute FAVORITE places to dine in the area! We live nearby, but very frequently choose Big Creek Lodge over many other fine dining establishments. If we lived further away, we will still make the drive to Westfield for the Big Creek Lodge. Everything from the service, to the environment, and the food are fantastic. And not to mention, the beautiful views, and peaceful scenery. We've tried many of the menu items over the past couple of years, and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend Big Creek Lodge!

   Went here last night for Valentine’s Day and between the 1 1/2 hr wait for our food, the wait was not even close to being worth it. My husband and I had the special 6 oz filet with shrimp and my son the barbecue plate. The barbecue was not appetizing to even look at, I won’t tell you what it looked like to avoid the picture but he said that it was okay and that my food was far better. Our steaks were okay, over seasoned shrimp was not cooked throughly and the sides were cheap tasting as if they were boxed items. The bread, yeast rolls, were tee tiny, cold and hard. I know they were booked for the night and I hope there’s a reason for the change in food quality. I did feel sorry for the wait staff and did not say anything when the low class couple started making a scene about a gift card, cash exchanged and getting her money back. Or the many couples complaining about the long wait, food quality or not getting what they asked for the first time. I mean it was almost every single group there complaining, so I did not want to complain but for $120 dollars I expected great things and it was disappointing from our prior experiences there.

    The worst service I think I have ever had, it took a hour and 10 minutes to get our dinner and when they brought the food out my wife’s was wrong so then it took any45-50 minutes to remake it. There were several other parties in there that were having the same issue as us and at one point another table was fussing with the hostess who had been waiting for a bag to take there leftovers home since before we got our food. They also changed us for another tables meal that was 170.00, needless to say we will not be going back.
