2 out of 4 of the tasting menu courses were very good, and one excellent. One was so so. The service was somewhat ill timed with the wine pairings, but super enthusiastic. Great space. Decent value.

The atmosphere was warm and the service was excellent. Each of the 5 of us had a different meal and they were all delicious. The portions were a tad small and we agreed a small starch such as potatoe or rice would have been nice. With one drink each and an entree each and one appetizer and 4 desserts and tax and top, the bill was about 420.

The food was very tasty but the portions were microscopic. I ordered the pickerel. I would have taken 3 orders to make a regular sized meal. The service excellent but the restaurant is very loud

I enjoyed our outing at Berlin because I am a more adventurous eater. My wife was not as impressed because she enjoys a more standard menu. I found the appetizers and entrees interesting, novel, unique and tasty. I would certainly recommend the Berlin for people who wish to try a new menu, something different but still very good. If you are just a meat and potatoes type of person you will miss out in what the Berlin offers and it may not be for you. The prices are comparable to high end fine dining. Our waiters were exceptional, very attentive but not being a pest. The restaurant was quite busy but our meals arrived in just the right amount of time, not to quick and not to late. The ambiance I found very appealing and even through it was quite busy the noise level was hardly noticeable.

Appetizers were good, interesting flavors. Mains failed to wow, we had expected more considering the Chefs reputation. Willing to give it another try in the futue.

Nice ambiance but on the whole overrated and pretentious. We got our entrees after 45 mins--and it was average risotto. After waiting 20 more mins or so, I had to remind the waiter about the bread.

Came all the way from Toronto to celebrate our 10th anniversary at the Berlin (we heard about it in the Globe and Mail). Amazing flavors. Great service. Neat venue. Great cocktail. I will remember the flavors most - each dish was a treat
