   We celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Benchmark with friends. The food was outstanding. The service was above board, efficient and friendly. The Benchmark never disappoints.

   Dinner was excellent. My steak (chef's way) was exactly what I hoped for. The crab and steak prepared perfectly and the favors were on point. We had mushrooms and a twice baked sides also very good! They made our anniversary special.

    Overall had a great night there, but why do so many steakhouses disappoint me as to their steaks. My grocery store rib eyes are equal/better quality, and my wife's filet was woefully rare when she ordered medium (I know, but...). I should have stuck with the Berkshire pork chop.

    First off food was outstanding. The restaurant was extremely noisy. I’d have expected a more intimate setting based on what wa advertised. It was extremely noisy and I had a hard time hearing my date. The service was just okay for a restaurant of this type.

    Strongly recommend making reservations in advance, the place filled up quickly after opening. The service was outstanding. The grilled cajun oysters and French onion soup were amazing.

    From the moment we were seated everything was excellent! Service was friendly and very personable.(exceptional) The appetizer and entrees were delicious. The holiday cocktail made it feel very festive!

    Wonderful time as always! Emily our server was so nice and attentive. Loved the little birthday card on our table. Service and food were all a 10/10. Perogis & risotto was the highlight.

    Always the best food. We got the waygu strip loin, and it was to die for. Benchmark cooks the Best steaks you can buy. Great service, great food.

    We came here for my wife’s birthday dinner while staying in Perrysburg and the food was disappointing but our waitress and drinks were great and we ensured we tipped her well, it’s usually not the waitresses fault. Our steaks arrived lukewarm at best, shrimp and sides were cold. They took everything back to reheat but reheating a steak is never good and in the end it was still just warm. Maybe I’m spoiled from the Ruth Chris and Morton’s and other steakhouses where they always come out hot, maybe it’s an OH thing to serve steak warm. With that being said, the steak was tender and had good flavor, just not hot. Ended up packing it up to take home to heat properly. They did comp our drinks which were delicious and provide us with free dessert, which we chose the cookies. When we went to eat the cookies we pulled hair out of the cookie. With that being said we won’t be back.

    I love the location. Three of us ordered the filet. One was cooked perfectly and the other two had a scorched side (charred black). Mine was ordered medium well and was rare inside. Slower cook time in my opinion needed with filets. I usually order medium but with a filet most places give you a rare piece of meat. Thought I was safe getting medium well “pink inside”. One person had scallops and got three small- medium sized scallops. That was too small of a meal for a man. They were cooked perfectly. The French Onion soup was phenomenal! Also, loved the grits and bacon. Missed the fried green tomatoes. Our friends didn’t like their spinach side. They said it tasted very bitter and was not the usual color. The service was AMAZING! This can make up for things. It was crowded and pretty loud, but a fun atmosphere! It is so nice to see people out again and the loudness was a real celebration of returning to normal!

    I really enjoyed the food and personal touches shown to us. It was our 40th anniversary and they gave us a card and Champaign toast. The noise level was extremely high, that would be my only complaint.

    Consistently fantastic! Benchmark is my wife and I’s favorite restaurant. Last night we were able to go with some additional family, including our 4 and 2 yr old girls. Benchmark was happy to have us all - staff was as friendly as ever, food was on point and the ambiance made it so much fun for us all. Still our favorite place in Northwest Ohio!

    Was referred by a friend to try this restaurant for its status in Toledo. While hearing Wagyu was supposed to be a tremendous experience ours was not. I took my son there for his 21st and wanted him to have a one of a kind experience. First were appetizers ,The French Onion soup was very good and my son had the thickly sliced bacon.Then the Entrée,I ordered American Wagyu Chef style which was prepared to my liking but my scallops I ordered with it were cold and then my son's Japanese Wagyu ($110) was Luke warm…him not knowing how exactly this expensive dish is prepared ate it anyway .Staff was very good and our server was great. Just thought a $500 meal would have left us in awe…sadly it did not.

    Brandy was an amazing waitress. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and inviting. She knew the menu very well. I ordered the burger, it was great. The fries were overdone and I didn't eat too many. The pumpkin creme brulee was great flavor, but the sugar on top was a little burnt. My husband got a cocktail and loved the heat. He got the short rib and very much enjoyed. Overall we had a good experience.
