I went with a date here on a Saturday night and the energy here was spectacular. The wait staff were all very kind, understanding, and seemed like lovely people. We were seated directly next to the live band playing, which was extremely loud, but our waitress was more than happy to help us move to an outdoor table. The food was spectacular too. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos.

It was a beautiful night, so we were glad to be able to book a last minute table for two on the porch. We were treated to the elegant sound of the Diamond Swing Jazz band playing inside, while Jessica pleasantly accommodated out appetite. All the food and drinks from WBW were fantastic, and I think we’ll be going back more often!

Ambiance was very good. Service was very good. Coffee and soup was good but not hot. Salad needed more dressing, but service did not have a problem bringing more dressing. I would definitely recommend the cafe, but just ask for your coffee and soup to be hot, Overall, a great experience.

Lovely brunch with a friend. The food was superb. The atmosphere was charming. Personnel were attentive but not obtrusive. I need a gluten-free diet and they were able to accommodate. Will definitely go again.

The toasted English muffin was overcooked, making it difficult to cut without a steak knife. Mimosas are $10, the highest we have found around North Delaware restaurants that serve weekend brunch. We were bothered by two children who were running uncontrolled through the restaurant. Management should have asked the parents to control their children.

The front porch at Bellefonte Cafe is a delightful and relaxing place to eat lunch, sip a drink and watch the world pass by on Brandywine Blvd. The offd is simple but tasty and the service super friendly.

It was my first visit & I absolutely loved it. Music was wonderful, the service people were SO helpful & friendly. I very much appreciated fact that they brought out piece of cake with lit birthday candle for my friend & even relit it so I could get pictures. I’ve already recommended your cafe to some friends & know I’ll be back too

Went to see a friends band and have some dinner. The service was great, the atmosphere was decent. Casual and very small but very good food with reasonable prices. I had a salad which was pretty good but my boyfriend got a brisket sandwich which was off the charts good. The kind you think about long after lol. Really cute and quirky place overall that I recommend.

The Grilled Cheese special was excellent. My Burger was fabulous and the drinks were spectacular especially the spicy margarita! I'll be back this week at some point! Great night!

This was so disappointing! Upon arrival we were shown to our table upstairs, in an empty room with no one else. After 10 minutes our server came upstairs to take our order. We ordered a glass of wine, a hot tea, a hummus plate appetizer, and 2 entrees (but had a limited selection, because even though it was only 6:30 pm they were all out of burgers, pork, and gnocchi). Our drinks came quickly. And then we sat alone upstairs and waited for 45 minutes. Finally my husband went downstairs to inquire about our appetizer and entrees, and he was told that the kitchen only had 3 people working in it, and if we wanted food right away we could order chips and salsa. When my husband reported back to me upstairs, we decided that waiting an hour alone in a room was enough. We returned downstairs and I asked if our order had even been started. The host explained that they had some issue with their printer and our order hadn’t gone through, so our food hadn’t even been started. I asked to cancel our orders and pay for our glass of wine and cup of tea. He said he would only charge us for the $7 glass of wine. Frankly, if they had just apologized for failing to communicate with us and taken responsibility without making excuses (or at least gotten their story straight about whether it was a kitchen staffing issue va a printer issue), and/or comped us the $7 glass of wine, I wouldn’t have even bothered writing a negative review. Instead, it just felt disrespectful to be charged a measly $7 after we sat alone in a room for an hour. I hope management takes note and improves staff training and customer service standards.

The staff is great! Very attentive and helpful. The $15.00 Panini was very small...on a chibata square - 4x4 but tasty. The Dale Melton Trio was performing and they were fantastic.

We have been enjoying Bellefonte Cafe for a number of years now. We go there because of the cool, intimate atmosphere and the music. The food is good, too. In nice weather they have a nice patio which is great for lunch.

Love the eclectic experience at Bellefonte Cafe! The food is reliably good every time we come. The music was great, and it was a full house at the restaurant last night. (Reservations are a must most of the time when there’s live music because it’s a small venue.) A truly enjoyable evening!

Of the four dinners on the menu , they were out of two of the….. at 7:00 pm on a Saturday evening? That should not have been. Had the shrimp tacos . “Soft “ tacos? Not even close. Did the chef fry them or were they just stale? And… shrimp were over cooked/ dry. Nice staff. Ambience nice. Music great . Hope things get better.

Dinner was excellent! Their menu changes over the years have opened them up to more people, i think, with many more meat options than they had years ago. The BBQ Brisket sandwich was fantastic, loaded with cheese. The garlic burger was good too. We also had two yummy desserts, carrot cake and a triple chocolate fudge cake. The Wilmington Brew Works pilsner on tap was very tasty too. We got to make a reservation, which was comforting, considering we saw Roger Girke and his band play live. Service was excellent too! I've eaten here 20x in the last 15 years, enjoyed them all, but this was my favorite time there!

The Bellefonte Cafe is a quirky, fun place to be, especially when the weather’s nice and you can sit outside, or whenever they have live music. As usual, the food and service were all good. The West Philly Toe Tappers provided the perfect lively ambiance for a day-before-New Year’s Eve get together. A great way to say goodbye to 2022 and look forward to 2023!

They were out of the first thing I ordered so my food came out a few minutes after everyone else’s; that’s fine understandable. Then when I did end up getting, salmon, came undercooked and it took another 20 minutes to get my food. I’ve been here before and have not had a bad experience so not sure what was going on but it was disappointing. Also added a note asking to be seated close to the live music - the performer was my father, and we couldn’t even see him.
