The Belle Époque Brasserie is a unique and much-loved fixture in Cheshire. Set inside an imposing, Italianate mansion on King Street, Knutsford, Belle Époque boasts a plush Art Nouveau interior featuring ruby walls, bronze statues, Venetian glass mosaic floors and Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Owned and managed by the Mooney family for more than three decades, the restaurant has won numerous awards. The assured modern-Euro menu – created by Head Chef David Mooney – includes prime oak smoked salmon simply served with lemon and caperberries, and fresh English lobster with linguine and asparagus in a classic Thermidour sauce. The restaurant has an extensive and eclectic wine list complete with helpful tasting notes, and several private dining rooms.

Had a lovely table in an alcove ready and waiting. The drinks service was very quick although we were kept waiting too long for the water to accompany the wine. The rest of the service was excellent. The food is wonderful and there is plenty of choice. Highly recoomended!

This was the first time we'd ever eaten after Belle Epoque after considering it numerous times but just never having the chance. The service could have been a tiny little bit quicker but that was probably to do with the BrideZilla that was in the restaurant at the time - you have never seen anything like it! Friendly attentive and knowledgable staff, who server superb food with delicate flavours. Really recommend the market menu!

Visited The Belle Epoque, in Knutsford, for a Birthday meal. Had 11yr old child in our party. Food was fab, slightly more expensive than usual restaurants we visit , average main course £18, but well worth every extra penny. Service was attentive and friendly, very child friendly. Good selection of food, usual favourites from the gril with a good choice of more unusual courses. Surroundings were decadent with open fire in the dining area. Great place to eat for a special occasion.

I needed somewhere special to take my wife on an anniversary. The food was absolutely fantastic, beautifully presented with just the right portion sizes. The service was incredibly attentive and highly professional yet subtle and unimposing. Even though there was a large party, neither did it distract from our enjoyment, nor were our own needs overlooked. This is the first time ever I've given 10s in a review, i cannot even imagine anything that could have been bettered last night!
