   Sharing roast was a bit disappointed with the small amount of meat , half a VERY small overcooked chicken and 2 thin slices of ham between 2 . Staff were very friendly and attentive.

   I met a friend for lunch here before visiting the nearby Rousham gardens. We had a lovely lunch in this beautiful old pub- the service was excellent and the food delicious, with an imaginative menu. What more could you want?

   Amazing food while staying for a few days nearby. Everything about the place was great from friendly welcome to service and tasty food. We would thoroughly recommend!

   Not much choice for a vegetarian. When asked if I could have egg and chips the chef said yes but would charge £13. I asked why so expensive and the reply was that it’s the preparation that takes the time. I explained that it would take 2 minutes to fry and egg. With that we left and went elsewhere. Avoid this unfriendly place.

   Met friends here for an early evening meal whilst on a narrowboat holiday on the South Oxford Canal. The main course sharing platters were delicious and plentiful. We shared the fish, chips with mushy peas and one with mussels, giant prawns and garlic bread. Both were fantastic. We asked for extra bread to mop up some of the sauce in the mussels pot and were brought some quickly. Puddings were delicious though probably not needed really. Staff were friendly and attentive. Service was excellent and experience was great value for money. Strongly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Will certainly return when we are passing in the future.

   What an amazing place this was to find on our narrow boat trip through the Oxford canal. We was taken by surprise on the meal we had in the evening at this place. You will not be disappointed if you eat here. But please go on an empty stomach. Thanks guys and keep doing the good stuff you do.

   The food was both interesting, quirky and brilliantly executed for such a quaint olde worlde pub. Service was friendly and charming. Not many diners but it was a Tuesday night.
