Menu was excellent with brilliant choice of starters, mains and puddings.
We had three courses.
The cheese soufflé was to die for.
The sole was a whole fish and superb
The Black Forest gateau is wonderfully rich; we shared it.
Consistently good service and great food. Special mention to George who is always welcoming and provides great service
Lovely pub with a fire and great food!
Eat here often, always excellent but this time especially. Can’t recommend enough and look forward to coming back again.
First time I have eaten at the Belgian Arms and it won't be the last. The food was lovely and the service excellent. the staff were pleasant and easy to chat to.
We had a wonderful lunch on Sunday with friends. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was wonderful - would recommend highly.
Very good Sunday roast beef with trimmings. Good hot starter and hot dessert. Wine we had was also good. Staff friendly and efficient.
Service was friendly and attentive, food excellent and the pub itself lovely.
Would go back in a heartbeat
Amazing food and service everything.
The coconut panna cotta was especially tasty(and vegan)
Always a perfect meal
Good food, excellent service the staff were brilliant and the atmosphere warm and cosy.
Starter of scallops for over £10 contained just 2!!! Sadly2 of us ordered this and felt very let down for spending £20 for 4 scallops between us.
Also my burger was dry and overcooked. Didn’t enjoy it at all.
Good food and excellent service.
It feels a good mix between a pub atmosphere and a restaurant
Amazing roast dinners and fab service - would highly recommend
Very relaxing environment for dinner. Great food, friendly and engaging staff. Highly recommend.
A pub full of character in an amazing location. The service from the staff was exemplary. The food was excellent. I will certainly be returning here on a regular basis.
Lunchtime menu is a steal at £16 for 2 courses, £19 for 3. Good choice and tasty dishes.
Absolutely fab Sunday Lunch. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and delicious 3 course meal! Would definitely return!
Not all bad but had to ask for water twice, waitress could have had a little more finesse rather than banging plates down on the table and dropping cutlery on the table rather than placing it. Little things that make a big difference…it’s all about the detail and some places just don’t have it…and the Belgian Arms is one of them. with a bit more thought they could create a better overall experience. Left a tip but not sure it was really deserved. Decent enough food though. Would recommend from a food point of view but not based on service
Lovely meal, really enjoyed the food and very good service
Pleasant environment, good food, great staff, enjoyed a mid week family lunch.
What a great pub! The food was delicious and travelling alone, I was well taken care of.
Food was fantastic and service great. We went on a Tuesday evening so the atmosphere was understandably not the best. We are already planning our next visit!
Lovely fresh food. Staff very attentive. A menu to suit everyone. Vegetarian options. Food was well cooked Lovely flavours. Will go again soon
The food and service were exceptional. We happened to be sat near a very large group celebrating so it was a little noisy but everything else was spot on.
always wonderful. Delicious food, attentive, friendly staff.
Can’t complain about the food or service or ambience. We just found the menu a bit strange for a Saturday lunchtime. A bit too brunch focused with too few options aside of those. The menu felt a bit limited but the food we chose was excellent. I recommend checking the menu before booking.
Booked on the spur of the moment and was really pleased to see the place so busy on a midweek evening. Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Friendly staff, good service. Will definitely revisit soon.
Really great place with fantastic food and a very welcoming atmosphere.
Great food and great ambience. Always friendly staff
Absolutely fantastic food - excellent vegan options. Will definitely be back.
Delicious Sunday roast. Will definitely go there again
Always brilliant food and very friendly staff.
Best pub in East Berks
Chris & his team as usual were just brilliant,,
Lovely lunch, great service, thank you so much. We will be back.
Really nice vibe to the place, friendly and buzzy and food very good and reasonably priced for the quality. Stays shy of being too 'restauranty' so keeps that feel of a pub but a very good one. Convenient parking and table service was very good.
The food was excellent and the service was very good, we met with friends and throughly enjoyed the evening
Great choice of food for lunch. Set menu a bargain. We are used to good food and this did not let us down
Home from Home in a great setting with friendly yet discreet service of great and interesting food
Great to see you and the family again Ian. Talk about lucky with the weather, probably the last day of summer! See you again soon. Best Wishes Chris & The Team
Good to see English wines on winelist and all English cheeses. Bravo.
Lovely meal on a Saturday night, pub and restaurant were busy in a good way! Excellent service throughout meal. Staff were friendly and polite. Shared starter of chicken pate - really tasty, smooth & light pate. Main course - absolutely fantastic venison loin, with rosti and carrot and cumin puree. It really was 10/10. Burger was very tasty but a little bit dry (well done rather than pink but I guess that is the safer cook for restaurants nowadays).
Had a lovely tasting coconut panna cotta with candied figs - great taste but sadly not really a panna cotta as it wasn't set. More of a thick soup! Still yummy though!
All in all a great meal, not perfect but would definitely return as food was really tasty and it's a lovely place with a buzzy atmosphere and good customer service.
