We have lived in Brentwood for many years. This was our first visit. We were pleased to find a quiet place with good food and service.
Sauces were clumsy on the tuna entree and the hamachi appetizer. The sea bass would have been good without the crab stuffing and sauce.
Simplicity!! Great service- nice place. Light sauces please.
The Bel-Air is a hidden gem. Food is great standard fare. Service is consistent, professional and balanced. It’s a rare restaurant with great food, great service that is quiet and easy to find a table.
We love the Bel Air Grill and are so happy we found it. Such a neighborhood gem. I ordered the same thing as the first time I was there... pear and blue cheese salad and turkey Bolognese. It was sooo good and I'd order it again and again. The pretzel bread to start... yum. For dessert we tried the s'mores cake, which was d'lish. Going back for sure.
The Bel Air is a wonderful, soothing place where you can dine well and have a conversation without shouting (or blocking out music that's too loud, in fact there's no music at all). The food is good, not special, but quite satisfyingly prepared. The service is outstanding and the staff treats everyone with equal attention and courtesy. Wish there were more places like this in Los Angeles.
I love this intimate restaurant! It has great food, friendly, attentive service, and an excellent bar. It’s off the beaten track in Bel Air, and more people should know about it. Tuesday nights are Taco Tuesdays, so went with friends the other night. My tacos, made with short ribs, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro lime sauce, were great. My husband had the salmon, which is one of my favorites. They always have delicious vegetarian options, as well as lovely pastas, tuna tartar, salads, and pretty much anything you could want. The pretzel bread is addicting!
We went at 8:45 and noone was there. Food was great but it was not a great group dinner experience.. very quiet
good local spot - a bit overpriced for quality/quantity - really good service - good for conversation as noise level low
Enjoyable atmosphere, delicious food and great service.
Great restaurant, perfectly located, great service and amazing food.
Food was amazing
Loved The Bel Air Grill. For us, it was a home-run. The food was great, service was outstanding, easy parking... and it was quiet inside. What a great find and a neighborhood gem. We will definitely be going back soon.
The Bel Air Bar & Grill has been a neighborhood favorite for more years than I want to admit to. So where is it? There is a new pretentious name, The Bel Air, new patronizing servers and increased prices with a smaller menu. Would somebody please find the Bel Air Bar and Grill of yore?
It was full and noisy. Portions are always small.
I ordered the BLT and the toast was burnt. Didn't complain because we were friends conversing but how hard can it be to toast bread moderately? Otherwise a lovely place.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful meal and the ambience was warm and cozy.
A great restaurant to meet at when you are going back over the hill... Just off the freeway near Sunset.
The service was great. A fantastic-neighborhood Saturday night go to. The salmon is off the charts DELISH .
Another favorite restaurant.....both for the food and the ambiance......plus the staff is also great......
A pleasant and unique ‘neighborhood’ restaurant. Always enjoy ourselves at The Bel Air, even for a quick bite. Thanks!
We were looking for a nice, cozy, delicious restaurant near the Getty Center to have dinner before taking our friends to the airport. The Getty Restaurant was closed on Tuesday and this was the perfect spot and very close to the Getty. After a full day at the museum, this was a great respite.
Restaurant has potential but needs work. Had 7:15 reservation on Saturday night and were seated. Ordered at 7:45. Waiter came back to tell us they were "out of seabass" (1 of 2 fish on menu). Bel Air charges a $30 corkage fee even if you order another bottle of wine which we did. VERY FEW restaurants do this. 99% waive corkage if you order another bottle of good wine.
Easier to go to restaurants with enough menu items early on Saturday and that waive corkage if patron buys another bottle of wine.
Fabulous service, great food - very pricey
This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always outstanding! Everything I have had here has been really exemplary. The service is very good--everyone is friendly and welcoming. The Bel-Air is particularly great for meeting friends and having conversations--you can actually hear each other. Also, it is well located, right off the 405 Freeway with easy access to the San Fernando Valley and the West side. I love the food, the ambiance, and the service, and highly recommend the Bel-Air.
The pretzel bread rolls are amazingly good, and served warm. We thought the appetizers were fabulous (had the lobster bisque and the golden beet and arugula salad with its generous portions of brie). But we didn't rate the food as excellent overall, because the entrees didn't live up to expectations after the starters! The short rib, while tender, was barely seasoned at all, and the seabass was pretty bland despite its attractive presentation. We did not try dessert. Next time I go, I WILL order that golden beet salad. Don't disappoint me by cutting back on the brie! This is a very lovely room in which to dine, it's just that the entrees don't seem as tasty as they could be.
Impeccable in every respect: food, service, ambiance. Susan Lord does a great job.
Service and food was good. It was Saturday night but no customers. Surprising
We've been going to this jewel of a restaurant for almost a year now. Can't say enough about every level of quality a restaurant should possess. World class! And considering it's LA, that is saying something.
We celebrated a birthday here (party of 8) after visiting the Getty. The food and location were great. The service was a bit disorganized and I am not sure if the server was new or they were short handed but we had to keep tracking her down. Other than that, it seemed like a local gem.
Difficult parking situation, but due to valet, worth the effort! Food was all fresh ingredients and top quality, served in an appetizing manner. Delicious. Server was attentive and friendly and responded to special requests. Good meeting place for client meetings.
A great place for a quiet leasurly meal. Limited but varied menu with each item carefully prepared. Attentive service and convenient valet parking make for a pleasant experience. Our pastas were superb and dessert choices were too good to skip.
Great as always! I have had business lunches, special occasions and family dinner here and all were enjoyable....
Every time I dine here I love the experience. Great staff. Innovative offerings that pleases and never disappoints. I have also used their private room for a biz event. Overall it has been a wonderful experience.
Have been many times, never dissapointed ! Food and Service superb. This time had
the BLTA sandwich and the pear and Gorgonzola salad. Still thinking about it today.
great for business, friends etc. Wish I lived closer it would be my weekly GO To for sure.
Good food, nice service but was quite expensive for what it was. Parking was expensive and is a negative factor.
Food always outstanding. Just a great spot.
I had the turkey burger which was delicious, but the lunch menu is pricey. Enjoyed the pretzel bread . Service was good and well paced.
I have been eating here since it opened as the Bel Air Bar and Grill. New owners several years ago remodeled entire building, but re created the atmosphere and quality of the original. We had out of town relatives staying a few blocks away, so this was a perfect meeting spot.
Brought two couples that had never been to The Bel-Air and they were thrilled with the service, food etc. Made new customers for the restaurant!
