A lovely restaurant and the help is fantastic. The food is quite pricey although everyone else enjoyed their meals. Mine however, was a soggy Caesar salad with no taste whatsoever.
Always delicious food, a good varied menu. Great for meeting people from the Valley. they don't mind going south on the 405 at dinner time.
Great go to spot for business lunches!
The food, ambiance and service are truly fabulous! Toni was an extraordinary server - so personable, gracious and all-around superb! Love the location between the Westside and Valley! My main "beef" is that it's too pricey, so not a place I will visit regularly. Would be nice if you offered a special of some sort. At Spumoni here in Santa Monica, they are now doing half-price meals on Monday nights - love that! Just a thought... Thank you!
Great location to meet between the Valley and the West Side. Food is excellent, great décor, and friendly service!
A great experience. Wonderful people. Flavorful food. Great gluten free options.
I go there quite often for lunch and sometimes for dinner. The food is good and it's very convenient.
The location of this restaurant is great if a valley person and a city person are looking for somewhere to get together. The food was really good, but the service was just so-so. Tuesday is taco day and the shrimp tacos were delicious. The tortilla soup was also very good, as was the veggie burger. Street parking is very limited and the valet is $8.00. You might want to carpool if you object to the valet charge.
EVen though the restaurant was full for Mother's Day Brunch, the atmosphere was relaxed and we were not rushed. The quality of food and drinks as well as the courteous and prompt service were exceptional. At our request we were seated at a quiet table - perfect for conversation even for a guest with mild deafness. Noise level throughout the restaurant was only moderate.
Always delicious! A real neighborhood gem! Love going there.
The food was good. I had a salad that I replaced romaine with arugula and added salmon
My husband had the tuna tartare appetizer with greasy
Chips. Our friends had the Ceasar which they enjoyed
That said the air was broken or do we were told
It was stuffy and hot
And a woman was leaving with a lab puppy in her arms during our meal
Cute & adorable but she was 10 weeks old so clearly not a working dog -so how was she allowed there with an animal?
That wasn’t cool and honestly they should’ve comps our cappuccinos for the hot room
We usually have very good attentive service. The service OK but not up to the quality for the price of the meal.
Love this neighborhood gem with it’s creative menu. Always tasty!
I've eaten here several times and recently took friends here from out of town. I really appreciate the comfortable seating and quiet atmosphere. It is one of the rare restaurants in L.A. where you can actually hear your table mates. The food is excellent. I had the turkey bolognese. It was to die for. My friends had the salmon and the scallops. They said they loved it. The desserts looked delicious but I passed since I'm trying not to gain weight. The service was excellent and our waitress was nice, friendly, and helpful. An added bonus it that you can skip the valet for $8 (without tip) because there is plenty of free street parking about a block away.
We have lived in Brentwood for many years. This was our first visit. We were pleased to find a quiet place with good food and service.
Sauces were clumsy on the tuna entree and the hamachi appetizer. The sea bass would have been good without the crab stuffing and sauce.
Simplicity!! Great service- nice place. Light sauces please.
The Bel-Air is a hidden gem. Food is great standard fare. Service is consistent, professional and balanced. It’s a rare restaurant with great food, great service that is quiet and easy to find a table.
We love the Bel Air Grill and are so happy we found it. Such a neighborhood gem. I ordered the same thing as the first time I was there... pear and blue cheese salad and turkey Bolognese. It was sooo good and I'd order it again and again. The pretzel bread to start... yum. For dessert we tried the s'mores cake, which was d'lish. Going back for sure.
The Bel Air is a wonderful, soothing place where you can dine well and have a conversation without shouting (or blocking out music that's too loud, in fact there's no music at all). The food is good, not special, but quite satisfyingly prepared. The service is outstanding and the staff treats everyone with equal attention and courtesy. Wish there were more places like this in Los Angeles.
I love this intimate restaurant! It has great food, friendly, attentive service, and an excellent bar. It’s off the beaten track in Bel Air, and more people should know about it. Tuesday nights are Taco Tuesdays, so went with friends the other night. My tacos, made with short ribs, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro lime sauce, were great. My husband had the salmon, which is one of my favorites. They always have delicious vegetarian options, as well as lovely pastas, tuna tartar, salads, and pretty much anything you could want. The pretzel bread is addicting!
We went at 8:45 and noone was there. Food was great but it was not a great group dinner experience.. very quiet
good local spot - a bit overpriced for quality/quantity - really good service - good for conversation as noise level low
Enjoyable atmosphere, delicious food and great service.
Great restaurant, perfectly located, great service and amazing food.
Food was amazing
Loved The Bel Air Grill. For us, it was a home-run. The food was great, service was outstanding, easy parking... and it was quiet inside. What a great find and a neighborhood gem. We will definitely be going back soon.
The Bel Air Bar & Grill has been a neighborhood favorite for more years than I want to admit to. So where is it? There is a new pretentious name, The Bel Air, new patronizing servers and increased prices with a smaller menu. Would somebody please find the Bel Air Bar and Grill of yore?
It was full and noisy. Portions are always small.
I ordered the BLT and the toast was burnt. Didn't complain because we were friends conversing but how hard can it be to toast bread moderately? Otherwise a lovely place.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful meal and the ambience was warm and cozy.
A great restaurant to meet at when you are going back over the hill... Just off the freeway near Sunset.
The service was great. A fantastic-neighborhood Saturday night go to. The salmon is off the charts DELISH .
Another favorite restaurant.....both for the food and the ambiance......plus the staff is also great......
A pleasant and unique ‘neighborhood’ restaurant. Always enjoy ourselves at The Bel Air, even for a quick bite. Thanks!
We were looking for a nice, cozy, delicious restaurant near the Getty Center to have dinner before taking our friends to the airport. The Getty Restaurant was closed on Tuesday and this was the perfect spot and very close to the Getty. After a full day at the museum, this was a great respite.
Restaurant has potential but needs work. Had 7:15 reservation on Saturday night and were seated. Ordered at 7:45. Waiter came back to tell us they were "out of seabass" (1 of 2 fish on menu). Bel Air charges a $30 corkage fee even if you order another bottle of wine which we did. VERY FEW restaurants do this. 99% waive corkage if you order another bottle of good wine.
Easier to go to restaurants with enough menu items early on Saturday and that waive corkage if patron buys another bottle of wine.
Fabulous service, great food - very pricey
This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always outstanding! Everything I have had here has been really exemplary. The service is very good--everyone is friendly and welcoming. The Bel-Air is particularly great for meeting friends and having conversations--you can actually hear each other. Also, it is well located, right off the 405 Freeway with easy access to the San Fernando Valley and the West side. I love the food, the ambiance, and the service, and highly recommend the Bel-Air.
The pretzel bread rolls are amazingly good, and served warm. We thought the appetizers were fabulous (had the lobster bisque and the golden beet and arugula salad with its generous portions of brie). But we didn't rate the food as excellent overall, because the entrees didn't live up to expectations after the starters! The short rib, while tender, was barely seasoned at all, and the seabass was pretty bland despite its attractive presentation. We did not try dessert. Next time I go, I WILL order that golden beet salad. Don't disappoint me by cutting back on the brie! This is a very lovely room in which to dine, it's just that the entrees don't seem as tasty as they could be.
