One of the best Sunday lunches I have in a long time! Excellent well cooked food and lots of it. Many restaurants seem to get the vegetables wrong, either completely overdone or hard and barely cooked - the Beehive's were perfectly cooked. The beef and pork were both really good and the prawn cocktail starter was very tasty. It was such a nice meal, we booked straight away to take friends there in a few weeks time.

Have not visited the Beehive since the extensive alterations. Was impressed with the changes. Warm reception and prompt attention. Menu and specials provides plenty of choice. Quality of food good.

We enjoyed our meal but was served too quickly and before we ordered desserts we were told our table was needed for a booking at 3pm. We feel giving diners 1hour 15minutes to have a special occasion lunch is not good enough. If we had been told we could only have the table for so short a time we would not have gone there. Also on Mother’s Day every other restaurant l have been to on this day have given the mums a flower or a chocolate but all they wanted was our money and get us to leave as soon as possible. Unfortunately this had been recommended by Jill White who takes a big party there every Christmas and she was appalled when l told her. It is sad because the food was excellent but a little break between courses would have been nice
