In Cheltenham’s well-heeled ‘village’ of Montpellier, a heart-warming city pub for lovers of real ale and great pub food. A regency building with Victorian features, high ceilings, sash windows and a proper ale house feel. A daily changing bar menu provides locally sourced food for a casual dining experience in the bar downstairs, with excellent Beer Battered Cod and Chips and Gourmet Burgers. Upstairs, known as ‘Cheltenham’s Best Kept Secret’ with its twenty foot ceiling, cast iron chandelier and minstrel gallery. Book a table, order a Timothy Taylor ‘Landlord’ and get chatting to the friendly bar staff who can tell you a lot about the place. Ensure to book a table for the ever so popular Sunday Roasts, serving 12pm – 6pm, or until we sell out.

Food was cold had to send it back, when returned it was hotter, this really shouldn’t have been the case.

Fantastic staff, always willing to cater for your every need! They’ve transformed the outside tables into somewhere you don’t mind sitting even in the hight of winter with fire pits in the middle of the table to keep you warm!

Good, unpretentious pub food with generous portions. Waiting at the table was excellent, the welcome downstairs less so. They dealt very effectively with the unusual but extreme allergy to garlic in our party. The steak was perfectly cooked, chips were excellent and the home cooked ham lovely. We’d also recommend the sticky toffee pudding and the rather lovely clementine tart. Would definitely go again.

A decent pub , busy to say Covid is around , food was decent pub food , bangers and mash steak pie and chips , Timmy tailors was lovely , staff were nice and service good , would recommend if you want good pub grub

Very noisy had a bunch of 6, drunk “Hurray Henry” types! Service was okay and the food was not as good as expected.
