Beehive Augusta Tavern
Savor a taste of history on the mighty Ohio... offering upscale dining, well-crafted cocktails, and the best Bourbons in the world. Great river views from our doorstep!
Great. Enjoyed everything.
This was our first visit to the BEEHIVE. Everything was perfect, absolutely perfect. It was worth the 1 1/2 hour drive from home. We will come again and bring friends. The crab cakes were to die for.
Very nice place to enjoy a meal overlooking the water. The food was good but the reason I think the Beehive is worth visiting is the building itself and the views.
If we lived closer (2 hours away) we’d go more frequently, but for now special occasions & day trip to Kentucky
As usual, the Beehive Augusta Tavern delivers. Great ambiance, good drinks, and delicious food. Perfect recipe for a nice brunch on the river. Just wish it were closer to my hometown!
The Beehive is our favorite spot for a night out. My 14 year old son says, everything is better at the Beehive. HIs favorite is the steak, sweet tea, and honey pie. Perfect setting overlooking the river and we especially loved the live music. It is worth the price for a few special nights out.
The food was very good. We sat outside on the balcony on a lovely afternoon with a view of the river. Priceless
We had a great time and delicious meal. Recommend this place
First time at Beehive Agusta Tavern. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend for dinner. Reason for visit was our 40th anniversary. Really enjoyed
Great all around - food, service, ambience, location.
Wonderful evening once again at The Beehive Augusta Tavern! Food was great, music was great on the balcony. Our favorite local gathering place!
Best restaurant and experience. Take your friends and enjoy the great service and beautiful location right on the Ohio River in a sweet little town called Augusta, Ky.
Worth the drive to Augusta Ky to enjoy its ambiance and a nice meal here overlooking the Ohio River. I look forward to repeating the experience
The Beehive offers delicious fare with unique flavor at reasonable price. The comfortable atmosphere and cheerful staff were terrific although it was a very busy day in Augusta. We are looking forward to returning for more excellent meals, and recommend the Beehive to all.
This is a best entry. Worth a visit even from 50 miles away. Everything was perfect.
Great food and service! Reserve early for outdoor dining.
We love the Beehive. Great food, atmosphere and service. This visit we sat on the balcony/porch, listened to live music, and watched the colors change across the Ohio River as the sun set. Food was delicious and the service outstanding.
We love the Beehive Augusta Tavern. It is our go to restaurant, especially when we have visitors from out of town. The decor is a combo of urban hip and rustic charm. The wait staff is attentive without being intrusive. The food is consistently top notch. The Truffle Parmesan Fries and the Honey Pie are a must have each and every time. Oh, and the rusty metal artwork is fabulously unique.
Amazing views I’d the river! Food was excellent as well as service. A must-visit when coming to Augusta!
Good food and service; interesting decor
Very enjoyable! Great drinks, food, and service! Will definitely be back!
We were running a bit late, when we called, we were told no problem. We were seated immediately, our server was friendly and attentive and the manager even stopped by and visited for a few minutes. Such a delightful experience, great food and hot toddy.
My experience was unbelievable. The staff were all very attentive and made the evening perfect. I highly recommend the Bee Hive for a memorable experience. Food was great, the environment was perfect and the service was superb! Thank you for a great evening!
We were able to eat outside and enjoy the riverview. Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. Try the mushroom soup if you like mushrooms.
We had a great experience. The restaurant was able to seat us outside as requested, which allowed a great view of the river. The ingredients were fresh and the food was prepared well. We did ask that the bacon be crisped up a bit, and they were quick to resolve that issue. The staff was attentive, but not overly so. Can’t wait to get back.
We had dinner with an out-of-town friend, enjoyed a low key night with great outdoor music, good food and great drinks!
Excellent food. Obviously a great chef.
Plated dishes were works of art. Terrific ambiance, especially from upstairs terrace . Only criticism is from that seating there can be a bit of noise from the close proximity of the ferry.
We had filet mignon . It was very tender seasoned just right and moderately priced.
Our group, at two tables, totalled 14 individuals from as far away as Los Angeles to as close as Augusta -- all well-travelled and accustomed to savvy dining. And everyone was immensely impressed with the service and cuisine of the Beehive tavern. It was such a delightful evening that we were the last to leave the restaurant! It was difficult to go.
Thank you, Beehive!
We have been going to the Beehive since late last summer and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh sourced locally and tastes delicious. The service is great and the atmosphere is charming!
It is a great unique place! They have top knot hospitality and went out their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The the food was delicious and presented nicely.
This was our second visit to Beehive Augusta Tavern. Our first visit was pre-covid about a year and a half ago. Glad they survived the shutdown. Our visit May 15th 2021 was just as memorable as our first impression. Located on the Ohio River with front row view of the river from the tavern in an old river town steeped in history and beautifully kept old architecture is worthy of an hour drive from Cincinnati. Food, service, value and atmosphere is excellent. We had the Pork Chops and Steak Taco's as well as Hungarian Soup and salad with garlic mashed potatoes and the malbac wine. All worth the drive.. Get to ferry before 7:30pm to get ride over from OH side. We are bringing friends back
I believe the building dates from 1796. It has been renovated but the design does not work. We were seated on the first floor in a private room that has 4 tables. Our table was the only one occupied and was located near the doorway into the room. We saw every guest who entered the building to go up the stairs to the 2nd floor to dine or go to the restrooms. We saw every food runner go up and come down the stairs and our food runner ran down the stairs and hopped into the bar area. The restaurant does not have an elevator to the second floor. The staircase can only accommodate a single file of people going up or coming down. The entrees were delivered by a food runner. He mixed up the dressings on the salads and handed the salads and appetizers to us to place in front of ourselves. The server did not serve the food to us. Our entrees arrived before we finished our salads and appetizers. We were celebrating a birthday. I was to get the complimentary dessert. The server stated that I could not have the creme brulee boxed to take with me. I did not want any of the other 3 choices of desserts. The server did remove the charge for the salads from our bill. We asked for the check and departed. We will not be back to the Beehive. The food was good, though.
Motorcycles in town made dining outside loud. But food made up for it.
Food was great! Loved the pork chop! Crab cake appetizer was also really good! Not a huge fan of the Bourbon/grapefruit cocktail. The honey oatmeal crust pie was amazing!
Tasty food, great service, and a beautiful location with river views. We sat outside on the upstairs patio and had great views of the river and the ferry that runs from KY to OH. The food was superb, we look forward to going again.
Excellent service, food presentation, and taste. Definitely will be back.
Wonderful experience, excellent food and a great staff. We will be back!
The food was plated beautifully and tasted as wonderful as it appeared! The servers were charming and attentive. We plan to return many times.
Crab Cakes were amazing.
Steak tacos were tasty and a real treat.
Hamburger was seasoned well and you didn't need anything on (catsup, mustard, etc.) it, the flavor was that good.
