Overall a nice clean pub, lots of space, easy to access. We eat soup starter’s and a main course. Food - Fish & Chips and Pie/Mash/Cabbage. Only problem on day was I was given slightly cooked chargrilled sliced piece of cabbage with my pie & mash, that I could not cut with cutlery provided and the core of the cabbage was left on. I mentioned this to my server, who deducted 10% from our final bill.

Nice food, not 100% on the veg and gravy. Unfortunately the bread we ordered to start never arrived before the mains arrived.

Once again the team at the Bear helped to deliver a great dining experience, it was a joint mother's day and 70th Birthday celebration for my mum and we all had a good time, food was excellent and service was great.

We were staying at the Bear Inn and after reading the reviews decided to eat there. The drinks and food were delicious. Service excellent.

The food was over priced and not the standard of a gastro pub. Decor very average.

We had a fabulous meal for my sons 21st birthday, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly, polite and quick. Overall an excellent experience and I would recommend.

Trained staff only should be allowed to settle bills. We were told that no service charge had been applied to our bill so we offered to add on 10%. When we looked at the bill later a service charge of 12.5% HAD been applied. Therefore we had paid a total of 22.5% in service charges! It was not worth that much! This was a case of either insufficient training or sharp practice.

Sunday lunch was amazing, it looked and smelt fantastic. We ordered the roast beef and it was amazing, it melted in the mouth. The venue and staff all fantastic.
