The BEACON Butcher Bar
We value the handmade and fashion from scratch details as small as the aioli and dressings we use, to housemade focaccias and pastries, slow-roasted meats, and naturally fermented pickles. We avoid industrially grown and processed foods. We love the intentional, the specific, the well-cared-for.
The Beacon Market offers hand-cut meats, in-house charcuterie, house-cured bacon, marinated olives, imported cheeses, hand-baked bread and so much more.

I really enjoyed the pasta and cocktails! This was a great experience and I’ll be back!
Fish of the day, scallops, this dish had too many flavor profiles going on to enjoy anything. Ribeye was bland and the only thing that made it tasty was the chimichurri sauce.
We walked in and the restaurant smelled absolutely awful. The staff and service was great. The food was just ok. Such a disappointment.
We were so excited for this meal but it just was not great. Our service was slow. I had to stare down our waitress to prompt her to come over and take our order/clear plates etc. I ordered the fried oysters and they came out super soggy (they should be crispy). I ate one bite of the appetizer and set it aside. When the server came I told her the issue but she let my plate sit there until everyone was done with their course and did nothing about it. And charged me for them! The rest of the food was meh. Cute venue.
Never a disappointment. Always great food and impeccable service!
This was our second visit to The Beacon (first this year). We love their sister cafe, Reids(they also catered our daughter's wedding so we are big fans and try very hard to support them) but unfortunately the service this trip was dismal and the food was just okay. We had a 6:45 reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately it took another 10-15 minutes for our server (also the gal who seated us) to come over and take our drink orders. The wine list is pretty much exclusively Italian and very difficult to navigate. We ordered a bottle but after a few minutes, the bartender showed up at our table with 2 other Italian wines and informed us they didn't have any more of the wine we ordered. There were only maybe 6 different red wines by bottle only - we had no clue about the 2 others he offered. We just picked one out of frustration. I believe at 7:20, we finally all had something to drink other than the water that was already on table when we arrived. I had the soft shell crab special but was then informed it was not being prepared as listed on the menu??? I also ordered a salad which never came so when my entree arrived, I asked our server to cancel. My husband ordered the ribeye and when our server didn't asked him how he wanted it prepared, he questioned her "how does the chef suggest?" She replied "medium well". When he said he didn't want med/well, she said, "oh I mean medium rare".??? It was an all around disappointing evening. Our guest were only in town for a few days and other than a Saturday night dinner at Reids (which never disappoints) this was our only other night out. The staff is knowledgeable and well trained at Reids, not the case at The Beacon. All I can say is that they must have had some staff no shows because the only other server was the owner, Tina.
First time patrons. Uncrowded Wednesday evening led to an enjoyable experience.
We have been waiting to try this restaurant for months and it was WELL worth the wait! Some of the best food we have had in Boone! We will definitely be back and recommend The BEACON Butchery Bar to all of our friends!
Absolutely delicious with a surprising blend of flavors!
Our meals were all excellent. I would like to see a less expensive steak option.
Unique venue, originally meant for special events but ended up as a limited menu restaurant. Just look at the menu before you go. Everyone's food was excellent and staff was friendly and responsive. We'll definitely return.
Great cocktails...lamb was delicious...
Pizza was dry and service was slow
We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was amazing the staff are attentive but not pushy. Great space and experience. We look forward to going back again.
The staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was very fresh especially the beet salad and local greens. Excellent. The Pasta Nero was unusual in color, but they did tell us, but light and tasty. The Chicken Piccata Pizza was a nice change with no heavy sauce. The crust was delicious. The dessert of chocolates, was a nice choice to go with some Americano coffees.
Just nothing special. Not very much food to choose from and over priced for the experience.
The food was delicious. My husband and I loved everything we had. We will definitely recommend The BEACON Butcher Bar to our friends.
Everyone's food was excellent. Our server was delightful. A bit pricey.
We had never been so we wanted to try it. Food was pretty good. We did a mixed meat and cheese appetizer tray. All of that was pretty good, especially the crackers.
My lamb rack was excellent. Cook was right on. Husbands pork was a little dry. For the price, that was a little disappointing.
Our server was excellent. She checked on us throughout the meal. Not enough to be annoying, but enough to feel cared for.
Ambiance is a little cold. Cement floors, a kind of warehouse y feel. Some may find that cool. We just felt like it was a little cold.
The BEACON Butcher Bar was a delightful dining experience for my family. Since we are in the midst of a pandemic, proper spacing is essential. The restaurant had every table spaced well apart from the others. Along with very high ceilings and mandatory mask wearing as you move around the restaurant, we felt safe.
We all chose the Beacon Bolognese for our entrees. I believe it is the best I have ever tasted! We had the hibiscus tea to drink - again, delightful! And the most amazing Tiramisu for dessert. I highly recommend The BEACON Butcher Bar. One thing - we sat close to the window and it was cold. So, wear extra layers when you go!
Great experience and service. Food was outstanding. Only negative is wish the selection was greater but maybe it was a limited menu due to covid?
Great food and service. Meats are a bit pricey but delicious. Lamb was excellent.
We had a great meal after a day of shopping and wandering around Boone. Cozy atmosphere and delicious food, with great friendly service. The focaccia was so good we bought two loaves from the kitchen to take home!
Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. Great food. Great experience! Will definitely eat there again
Such a wonderful place
Great meal. Excellent service. Grilled Caesar Salad was possibly the best salad I've ever had. The fish special was incredible. Everything had a ton of flavor. Will definitely return.
Good service but kitchen was a little slow. Food was creatively prepared and plated. Fish, pork and Bolognese entre's were generously portioned and well prepared and plated. The pasta aglio e olio was a bit disappointing. I was expecting a simple classic preparation. This was neither simple nor classic. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. Interesting cocktails and a thoughtful wine list. Will go back.
Pizza was excellent...but they left bacon out of one dish and the pompano was fishy tasting.
The service from the Hostess, our server Paige and everyone there were so friendly and warm. The food was so fresh and tasteful. The farmers greens were so fresh and crisp, along with the eggplant. The penne Bolognese was so tasteful and had a nice kick. The ricotta beet ravioli was a great combo. The ricotta just oozed out of the ravioli and mixed so well with the beets and lemon. Dessert was the Tiramisu, incredibly soft and fluffy. The special, coconut macaroon with ice cream was loaded with flavor and and great combo texture wise being more dense. The music was a nice modern folk mix. Lighting was a little on the bright side, can use some dimming. The noise level was low, very nice. Definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back.
Great food, excellent service, socially distanced setup and good for any occasion.
We had a phenomenal experience. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The place was beautiful. Drinks and food were all delicious. So happy to have a new nice place to dine in this area.
excellent menu with fabulous food options. Food was well prepared and excellent!
Amazing food! Wait staff very professional. Can’t wait to go back!
We loved it! we will go back
beautiful decor, great drinks, food and dessert
Decent food, great service, ambience just ok. Kind of cold and sparse.
Great local food, great service and great ambience. Love a place that incorporates local seasonal food! We will be back!
We had a wonderful experience enjoying our anniversary. The food was exceptional. As was the service. We will definitely be back to explore the changing menu.
Overpriced considering the extremely small portions you get.
The space is large which allows for the tables to be spaced very far apart (important now in 2020). It is decorated very well. The service was fantastic from host to waiter. The staff took note that it was our anniversary and helped us celebrate with bubbly! Food was delicious. We had a fried okra appetizer that was great. Entrees of pork chop and whole fried fish were really excellent. The fish had a pickled veggie topping (I think that is what is was called) that I really loved. Pork was on a Caesar salad bed. Both were very good. Portions were ample and we had some leftovers to take home. I'm eating those for lunch today. We will definitely be back.
