The BEACON Butcher Bar

The BEACON Butcher Bar was a delightful dining experience for my family. Since we are in the midst of a pandemic, proper spacing is essential. The restaurant had every table spaced well apart from the others. Along with very high ceilings and mandatory mask wearing as you move around the restaurant, we felt safe.

We all chose the Beacon Bolognese for our entrees. I believe it is the best I have ever tasted! We had the hibiscus tea to drink - again, delightful! And the most amazing Tiramisu for dessert. I highly recommend The BEACON Butcher Bar. One thing - we sat close to the window and it was cold. So, wear extra layers when you go!

Great experience and service. Food was outstanding. Only negative is wish the selection was greater but maybe it was a limited menu due to covid?

We had a great meal after a day of shopping and wandering around Boone. Cozy atmosphere and delicious food, with great friendly service. The focaccia was so good we bought two loaves from the kitchen to take home!

Great meal. Excellent service. Grilled Caesar Salad was possibly the best salad I've ever had. The fish special was incredible. Everything had a ton of flavor. Will definitely return.

Good service but kitchen was a little slow. Food was creatively prepared and plated. Fish, pork and Bolognese entre's were generously portioned and well prepared and plated. The pasta aglio e olio was a bit disappointing. I was expecting a simple classic preparation. This was neither simple nor classic. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. Interesting cocktails and a thoughtful wine list. Will go back.

Pizza was excellent...but they left bacon out of one dish and the pompano was fishy tasting.

The service from the Hostess, our server Paige and everyone there were so friendly and warm. The food was so fresh and tasteful. The farmers greens were so fresh and crisp, along with the eggplant. The penne Bolognese was so tasteful and had a nice kick. The ricotta beet ravioli was a great combo. The ricotta just oozed out of the ravioli and mixed so well with the beets and lemon. Dessert was the Tiramisu, incredibly soft and fluffy. The special, coconut macaroon with ice cream was loaded with flavor and and great combo texture wise being more dense. The music was a nice modern folk mix. Lighting was a little on the bright side, can use some dimming. The noise level was low, very nice. Definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back.

Great food, excellent service, socially distanced setup and good for any occasion.

We had a phenomenal experience. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The place was beautiful. Drinks and food were all delicious. So happy to have a new nice place to dine in this area.

We had a wonderful experience enjoying our anniversary. The food was exceptional. As was the service. We will definitely be back to explore the changing menu.

Overpriced considering the extremely small portions you get.

The space is large which allows for the tables to be spaced very far apart (important now in 2020). It is decorated very well. The service was fantastic from host to waiter. The staff took note that it was our anniversary and helped us celebrate with bubbly! Food was delicious. We had a fried okra appetizer that was great. Entrees of pork chop and whole fried fish were really excellent. The fish had a pickled veggie topping (I think that is what is was called) that I really loved. Pork was on a Caesar salad bed. Both were very good. Portions were ample and we had some leftovers to take home. I'm eating those for lunch today. We will definitely be back.

We were pleasantly surprised! Not appealing from the outside but nicely done inside and service and food were excellent! Have added it to my list of recommendations for my rental guests.

Service and food were very good. Size of the table for 4 was a little small. Otherwise very nice evening.

This is a new restaurant so I really wish not to be too critical. The food over all was very good. My husband and I shared the farmers salad platter. The crouton were huge and hard. We would rather have had some of their fresh baked bread on the side. Both our entrees were spectacular. I had the pork chop and my husband had the bucatini pasta. My only criticism would be that we were just about the first ones in and they sat us near the kitchen. Had it been busy or gotten busy that is the worst place to seat anyone as the servers are constantly in and out. To be fair I don’t think any restaurant should put a table near the kitchen doorway. Secondly we were seated at a very small table because it was just the two of us. Again, no restaurant should have such tiny tables that your entrees are almost hanging off the side of the table because it’s so small. The waitstaff are definitely green as they could not explain all the dishes, but our wait person was very polite and attentive. I definitely look forward to going back in the future.

This was the best meal we have ever had in Boone! What a great job they have done here. We told friends about it and will definitely be returning.

We could not have been happier with our decision to visit Beacon for dinner on our only night in Boone. It was delicious. Can’t recommend enough!

We were all set to eat outside. We have not eaten inside a restaurant since February. However when we looked inside, the tables were spaced far apart & the atmosphere was so welcoming & charming that we couldn't resist.

My husband had a specialty drink that was delicious & I thoroughly enjoyed my wine. Then we were served a huge salad that was very fresh & tasty. My pasta special was also delicious, with homemade pasta & fresh vegetables in a light sauce that was exactly how I like it.

We will definitely return when our family comes to town.

We celebrated my birthday with delicious unique cuisine and wonderful service. We all enjoyed our food from snapper to beet ravioli. The food was creative and tasty. We look forward to coming back. Tables are very well spaced, ceilings are high and all the staff are wearing masks.

Attentive staff, interesting decor, fun menu, delicious modern/Italian food, great wine list. Who wouldn't want to go?
