The BEACON Butcher Bar
We value the handmade and fashion from scratch details as small as the aioli and dressings we use, to housemade focaccias and pastries, slow-roasted meats, and naturally fermented pickles. We avoid industrially grown and processed foods. We love the intentional, the specific, the well-cared-for.
The Beacon Market offers hand-cut meats, in-house charcuterie, house-cured bacon, marinated olives, imported cheeses, hand-baked bread and so much more.

Fantastic atmosphere and the food was delicious, all of us who went are already planning our next visit.
We really enjoyed the attention to detail in the space, the design, the food and menu were lovely, the live music was nice, and the overall ambiance won us over. The server needed a little more in the way of training, seemed unfamiliar with the menu items and not as knowledgeable as we would have hoped, continued to try and clear our plates although we wanted and suggested we wanted to keep the items on our table to enjoy throughout our time there. Bartender was attentive, kind, and helpful. Love the vibe and cannot wait to come back soon!
What a wonderful find in Boone. Our server Will was Outstanding. We will be returning as soon as we are able.
We visited for the first time not knowing what to expect, but everything was great! The host, the server, the cocktails, the food and the environment. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic dinner, great service.
Had a great family meal during parents weekend. Food and service was really good. A little on the high side in terms of cost to value but I would definitely go again. Steaks, Rack of Lamb, and Whole Flounder special were all good.
GREAT service and I wish the food had been as good. Greasy pizza, weird grain bowl and the caprese needs hearty bread. Can't stress enough the service is FANTASTIC, though, so check your culinary expectations and tip your awesome servers!!
Went for our anniversary dinner. Food was outstanding and our server did a great job and was attentive to our needs
What a great find in Boone! My friend and I had the cornbread, Farmer’s Salad, the bolognese (with house-made pasta), and a lovely bottle of wine. We shared every course and they had no issues with us sharing. They were very generous and helpful as we were deciding which wine to select. We were surprised that the place wasn’t packed on a Saturday night - if we lived nearby we’d be there often and will definitely visit again. Loved the velvet chairs!
My wife and I LOVED our dinner here. I had read and heard mixed reviews before we went but our experience was excellent. Fantastic cocktails, delicious food, served in a great atmosphere. This may be our new favorite place in the High Country.
We got there early so we had the place to ourselves but it was filling up fast when we left. The service was great the food was exceptional. My son and I both got the pork chop and it was cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing. My husband got the chicken marsala and he loved it. The cornbread was a great starter. A little pricey but definitely worth it!
The food was drenched in garlic, there was no other flavor to it. Good thing we like garlic but that was way too much. My husband had the ribeye and it was the worst he ever had, cornbread was cold, the butter wouldn’t even melt on it. I had the veggie plate and it was the same, the amount of garlic was beyond consumable.
First time to visit this establishment and pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent, great environment, and small but nice wine list.
I made this reservation 2-3 weeks in advance because I wanted to sit outside with my family for dinner. The atmosphere is great, the food was great, my server was great and our drinks were fantastic. There were tables available outside but we were seated inside, despite my two week advance outdoor reservation. I asked the hostess if we could move outside and she said we wouldn’t be comfortable outside with four people because the table was round. I ate dinner facing the outside rectangle tables. I gave a 15 percent tip, which I haven’t done since before the pandemic because of the hostess. Maybe not fair, because the food, server and bartender were on point but I didn’t know how else to express my displeasure.
I love this new restaurant. The food is outstanding. Prices are a bit high, but in line with other fine dining establishments in the area. Our waiter, Daniel, knows the food and drink menus well and is very personable.
Only detriment to a great dining experience was having to sit adjacent to the parking lot along a noisy boulevard, but I assume that was because of distancing due to covid.
We came very early. Room was set up great & we felt comfortable eating here in these COVID times. This means a lot to us. Ambiance could have been enhanced by a slightly less loud music choice.
Service was prompt & attentive but server only knew menu basics. I couldn’t decide & had to pepper her with questions with was unfortunate for both of us as she had to go back to kitchen. A cheat sheet would be helpful for the server.
Burrata was so yummy.
The whole Fish was delicious & presented beautifully. A head & bones disposal bowl would be useful next time.
My husbands Ribeye was cooked properly but the tenderness wasn’t quite as we’ve had before. This was pre-sliced not whole. His Green Beans were tasty but tad oily & shell had unexpected toughness to it, ends not trimmed. Chimichurri was missing that bit of zing he’s used to.
We will return.
Late dinner, great pizza . Limited parking. Poor lighting in the parking lot. Service slow probably due to COVID and limited staff
Beautiful in every way! We will definitely be back!
Fantastic location. Beautiful spacious room with a large fireplace at one end. Wonderful service and amazing food.
We were surprised on Tues they have live entertainment. The trio were fantastic & added to the wonderful ambiance. The food & drinks were great! Highly, highly recommended!
The food was amazing. The drinks were on point. The service was great.
Terrific food. Wonderful service. My only complaint is that the temperature is the restaurant was too cold
Really good staple menu and specials, great drink list (including mocktails!), and really beautiful decor/ambiance. The tables are spaced out well, making it easier to hear your own table. Attentive service, and they take reservations on OpenTable which is convenient. One of the few restaurants we've found in the area that serves espresso. My only constructive criticism is that a few of the dishes would’ve been better with slightly less salt so that the natural flavors could shine through. Overall, a hidden gem!
We really liked the food. I really think the restaurant would benefit by adding in some booths / some cozy seating and dining..
Caprese salad was best we ever had. So fresh! Chicken Marsala was delicious and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Beacon bolognese was another winner. Enjoyed the artwork and the large open space of the building. We will be back!
Such a wonderful meal. The cornbread was some of the best I have ever had.
Great ambiance, had live music on Tuesday. Home made pasta as I went down the path of the bolognese. Absolutely fantastic and a nice touch with fresh parmesan added. If your meal doesnt come with the cast iron cornbread, order it. We’ll be back for round two next week!
Tuesday nights they have jazz and a special bottle of wine and charcuterie for $40. Very relaxing evening!
Great food and great service. Loved the ambiance and music.
Small but creative menu. We had chicken Marsala- great piece of chicken with interesting pasta and flavorful sauce - and fried flounder with Hoppin’ John and fried okra. Okra was delicious, flash fried with no discernible batter, flounder was an impressive piece of fish perfectly cooked. We checked out this place after hearing about the music played on Tuesday nights. Music was wonderful. Contemporary ambience and excellent service added to a great evening.
Our table was right next to parked cars. And the mushrooms in the chicken Marsala were inedible. But the Buratta caprese was fantastic!
The food we had was good but the menu is a bit limited.
Best filet I have had.
Quality and Creativity describe every aspect of Beacon. The well drinks were among the best and it was apparent that the staff were just as excited as we were about the quality of everything on the menu. Highly recommend!
Total badassery. I’m not sure folks know how lucky they are to have a restaurant of this quality so readily available to them. Hidden gem doesn’t begin to describe it, and I’m fully hoping I get to come back one day.
We made a last minute reservation and mistakenly selected for people instead of . They were still able to seat us; the ribeyes were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. Our boys shared a pizza and they loved it. We'd definitely come back.
Great night - groovy ambiance with great service and excellent food - highly recommended
Great food and drinks. The food has excellent flavor. Caleb and Will took excellent care of us. The specialty cocktails are off the chart. Exceeded all our expectations! We highly recommend the Beacon.
