   The restaurant has a limited menu but my food was very good. The cornbread was outstanding. The service was excellent. I will return on my next visit to the area.

   This was my second time eating at Beacon Butcher. Brought my daughter and husband and we all loved it! Had oyster picatta, beef stroganoff and a vegetarian option. Dessert was delicious too. Can’t wait to go again.

   5 life long friends met for dinner. Waitress was great and helpful. Answered all our “extra” questions. Food was terrific!!! All 5 of us were very happy overall. I ordered salmon and can’t say enough about it. My friend ordered the fried oyster picatta. Loved it so much she ordered one to take home. Her husband loved it. I’m going back ASAP!!

   Context: we LOVE Beacon. But things were off last night. Two things: 1. Two couples with four preteen kids sat at the table in front of the fireplace. While the adults had multiple drinks the kids were allowed to yell and cut up. They were very loud affecting all diners on the side of the restaurant. It was awful. Put those kinds of guests in what I call the bull pen of the restaurant to the right of reception as u enter the restaurant. 2. From the time of ordering till we received our food (we did not have drinks) was exactly 39 minutes. We had to gobble it down to get to our concert. This is a very good restaurant. And we will be back many times. And we are sure the late food was an anomaly. But the noise level was intolerable. I would do something about that.

    Loved the ambiance and the live singer. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the duck or the bass (if available). The cheesecake desert was also delicious. Great experience!

    On recommendation of a friend, we made an rsvp and dined last night at the Beacon. Knowing it is related to Reed's we expected the same. All was very good but our waitress was slow and disorganized from our view. The place was not packed and don't think she was that busy! We will return but will expect better service.

    This is only the second time I’ve been there. The first time was with some girlfriends, and we had a wonderful experience, the food, our waitress and drinks! Second round was just as amazing. It’s really a great vibe in there. The bar area is really nice too. I had the beef stroganoff, side of Brussels, another friend had the bolognese, the pasta is homemade and very delicious! Their pizzas are tasty and their salads as well! Definitely we will be back! They have live music which is a plus and they start early. Sometimes it can get a bit loud and hard to hear each other talk but it’s a nice addition to the ambiance.

    The food and drinks are always excellent here, but our entire dining experience was ruined by the loud, loud, loud band that you had. We could not hear each other at all and ended up with headaches trying to eat and enjoy our meal. Please, please do not have loud bands with drums, horns , and loud vocal when someone pays so much for a delicious meal. Very poor dining experience . Start the bands later in the evening when you want a bar crowd.

    The food was delicious. We shared the trout mousseline, citrus+burrata salad, braised beef stroganoff and the dark chocolate ricotta mousse. All were excellent but the stroganoff was exceptional. Definitely coming back.

    We were there mid-evening on New Years Eve; wonderful and appropriate music was provided by a three member group including a songstress - all were great and entertaining. The food, we had lamb rib, was wonderful, as well as was the the service that provided this. Having lived in Boone for some 50 plus years and experienced th coming and goings of many resturants, this one, dear lovers of good food and accompanying ambience and service, truly takes the lead. You come to Boone - do not miss out!!

    I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for over a month. Made a reservation, guaranteed by credit card, which made me think this was even more special than the menu and reviews made it out to be… it turned out to be one the worst restaurants I’ve been to with the exception of our waitress who was doing her best to cover for cook, manager and other staff. The food was awful. There were six of us and 4 of the six meals we had to send back. Pizza and Bolognese were acceptable, not great. I ordered the fish special that was supposed to be striped bass. When the plate was out in front of me it had a strong fishy smell, not a good start. Despite that, I made an attempt to taste it and it was a frozen, soggy piece of fish that was fried, so hard on the outside with ZERO seasoning. I can’t believe they wanted $32 for this meal. I could go on about the duck breast that you could bounce of the floor and the pork schnitzel that was hard as a brick and we won’t even mention the fried oyster piccata that had no sauce and served over a dry supposedly homemade pasta. No taste whatsoever. The manager made excuses saying it was a busy night… well geez. Sorry for you. Maybe after this review you won’t have that problem. I would also warn anyone ,the parking lot was a sheet of ice all the way to entry…. It appeared as if they made no attempt clean it for their guests.

    Visited the Beacon Butcher around Christmas time, and it proved to be a wonderful dinner, perfect for the holiday season. With seasonal drinks and desserts, the restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere. Additionally, the food was incredible and packed full of unexpected flavors.

    The Beacon sets a gold standard of excellent quality and gourmet dining. We are delighted that Boone has a restaurant of this caliber and wish them a long successful career. We were happy to see the use of veggies and greens and would love to see more fresh vegetable sides on the menu.
