   This restaurant is closed! I booked a table the day before but when we arrived, after a 25min walk to the restaurant, found out that it was closed. As far as I'm aware it is no longer operating. No message from restaurant or open table to advise it was closed!

   Lovely pub. Has a lot of character. The food was wonderful - much better than many other pubs/restaurants we’ve been to recently! Excellent service. Would highly recommend

   Waitresses did not know the answers to questions we asked about the food before we ordered The roast meat was dry Two of three desserts were not as described on the menu, eg lemon cheesecake did not come with any sorbet An orange juice was billed for £10.50, a two sodas £2.60 each The restaurant used to be full but we were in the main the only guests there and the pub was empty

   Our meal was dreadful. Firstly our waitress laughed when we asked for a drinks menu and said we don’t have one so we just had to guess what was on offer. Secondly the menu was tiny which is fine if the food is quality is good. However we were served 4 roasts all of which were cold and a weird combination of underdone and over done. crunchy parsnips soggy greens and dry meat with an overall bitter taste. Roast potatoes were easily 2 days old. We had to request gravy and condiments. Desert was Eton mess which was ice cream van strawberry sauce with whipped cream and one strawberry. It was awful! We won’t be going back.

   Apart from the noise coming from a table of 7 kids the food was outstanding. Definitely our go to for a Sunday roast

   Web site a complete work of fiction. Booked table and paid deposit - on arrival told restaurant closed, you will have to eat in the Bar which was very very noisy lots of screaming and shouting. Asked for the menu, told its on the board - only about 20% of what is on website. 50 minutes for food to arrive - lettuce covered at least 60% of plate plus one small tomato. Were charged restaurant prices. Having eaten, went home and cooked a omelette. Will not be returning. Lots of other lovely restaurants in the area.

   The website promised much but sadly made no mention of the fact that in January the sea view restaurant is closed and half the menu isn’t available. My seafood pasta was very overpriced with no discernible cod and chewy unpleasant (probably frozen) squid. Friendly waitress but not a great experience.
