Went for brunch this time - I got the steak and eggs and my husband got chicken and waffles. Both were out of this world amazing! When we go for dinner, we get the cornbread and Mac and cheese for appetizers every time. The food is always great, and love the cocktails, too! Highly recommend!

I’ve been to Bayou many times; but unfortunately this time stood out for the wrong reasons. In the past the service and food was great. This time the food seemed overly salty, but the real problem was our waitress. She was loud, intrusive and annoying. I felt harassed to order something fast. We barely sat down and she wanted us to start ordering food and drinks. She kept coming over and asking us what else we wanted. It got to the point where I couldn’t even look at her because I was afraid of just telling her to shut up and go away. Sorry just speaking the truth.

Except that we had to wait 20mins for the table we reserved, it was great.

They’ve lost their edge, quality and vibe over the past few years. But if you like greasy overcooked southern fried food then this is the place for you. Noise level is out of control. One almost has to shout at dinner. It’s sad to see how this place has gone downhill. But people still flock here.

Went to the Bayou for Mother's day with my mother and my new daughter. They were very friendly, very accommodating of our eight-month-old, and the food was excellent. Very happy with them, and we will be back.

Great food , my husband gave the waitress her $10.00 tip. 1st before we paid Our $67.24 bill, we gave her $70.00 & was waiting for our change. We stood by the bar still waiting. Until she decided to approach my husband & asked if he wanted his change . My husband said yes, did we miss something?!?

Great place! Easy parking. Our server was terrific. Food was good. Beer selection was decent. The price was very fair for the high quality of the food and atmosphere.

The Bayou was a pleasant experience. I am a Louisiana girl and therefore a more harsh critic based on this alone. It definitely had some Cajun flavors, but it was not completely authentic. Overall, the service was great, the food was good and the ambience inviting. I do wish that the shrimp and grits were made with a more coarse grit; the flavor was on point. I ordered the Pecan Redfish which was a bit too sweet for me and a little greasy. The jalapeno hushpuppies were amazing.

This was our 1st visit to Bayou, it was AMAZING! The creative cuisine, service, cocktails and atmosphere went above and beyond our expectations. I would definitely add this to your list of places to dine in the Bethlehem area if you're looking for mouth watering food and drinks!

The Bayou was a great experience for my family and I. Our waitress, Jacqueline, was super and provided our drinks/appetizer order promptly. She was also well versed in the menu. The food was DELICIOUS! The Southern, comfort food vibe was spot on and would recommend to all in the Leigh Valley area! It is a bit expensive, so best if you plan for a special occassion, but the quality was worth it! Enjoy!

Love all the food at The Bayou. We had the fried oysters for an appetizer. So crunchy and great!
I had the smoked pork sandwich; so good. My husband had the catfish; outstanding. Try the cocktails, just delicious.

The meal was wonderful. Great options on the menu. We will come back for lunch but probably not again for dinner. We were seated at a high top in the bar area and it was so loud. We finally just stopped talking to each other at the end of the meal because it was too noisy to try. There were a few very loud bar patrons that clearly had no concern for other customers on top of the fact that the noise obviously carries in the small dining space.

When I am in the Bethlehem PA area, Bayou is my favorite restaurant. Love the sharing options, portion size, prize, and the good tasting food! This place fills up so a much better experience with a reservation in advance.

The food is delicious. The menu offers unique options that you can’t find many other places. It has a really cool atmosphere and New Orleans flare. Definitely make a reservation because it isn’t a huge place.

Our first time to the restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and charm of this restaurant. The food was very good although the fried chicken wasn't fabulous. The mac and cheese however was killer. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

This was my first time at The Bayou. It came highly recommended from a friend. I was not disappointed. My friend was right the Macaroni and Cheese was delicious. Even though it said small plate there was more than I could eat in one sitting. The Peanut Butter Mousse, Hush Puppies and French fries were also terrific. Our service was great as well. I will certainly be back, sooner than later.

We really enjoyed our meal. The portions are really, really big. Even the small portions are more than enough for a meal. Definitely very loud (would be good if they got some sound absorption features), however, the place sure seemed alive. Some of my favorite items were the hush puppies, corn bread, mac and cheese, and the peanut butter mouse was really popular. It did seem to take a while to get water and drinks after we sat down but it all worked out. One gripe I did have is that I called the restaurant to let them know I would be about 5 minutes late. When I got there, it turned out that we had to wait 20 minutes to get our table. Would have been nice if they would have told me on the phone that it wasn't a rush and that our table wasn't going to be ready for a while.

Always great food and service. The place is always jammed and has a high-energy feel. Menu options are a little different for the area (New Orleans-inspired) but there are plenty of mainstays to suit everyone's taste.

The food and service were excellent. Questions about the menu were answered accurately and patiently. The noise level was the only complaint as it made it difficult for conversation within our own group. But I have to say it also indicated that people were enjoying the food and having a good time. If you want to experience food from the South, this is the place to go. Also, the small plates are big enough to share with your table if you're ordering an entree as well. We even took home leftovers. Definitely recommended by all in our group.

Fantastic, amazing food! Having been to both the Easton and the Bethlehem locations now, I can say they are both spectacular. If I had to suggest any changes, it would be to the portion size. I have had the Jambalaya at both locations and the Easton location definitely did a better job of showcasing the seafood and meat that was in the dish. I did not even realize there was anything in the gravy until I mixed it with the rice. A special shout out to the chef at the Bethlehem location, my daughter ordered the Shrimp and Grits, but requested the chef add some creole' spice to the grits, she loves hot stuff. The chef had the waitress bring out a spoonful of the grits for her to taste before it was served! Total class move! Thank you! We had the best anniversary dinner ever!
