The Bay House Ratings and Reviews
Everything was great. Thanks to Bernadette for taking VERY good care of us.
Central pan roast was very good. The scallop was the best I’ve ever had, I will have to try the scallops plate next time.
The guys had the prime strips steak which they sad was very good as well.
We just had a fantastic dinner last weekend at The Bay House in the Tavern...different menu than the dining room. Food was delicious, service attentive and there is a nice ambiance (but the whole restaurant has a nice ambiance). Celebrated our son's GF's bday (she may be going from GF to fiancee, so we wanted to take them someplace special). The experience couldn't have been better...We all had fish: husband had salmon, GF had cod, son had shrimp & grits, I had swordfish; I don't think there was a morsel left on anyone's plates. 3 of us wanted the snapper special, but it was sold out :( . But it didn't matter after all, as what we had was so enjoyable.
Seated immediately and reservation request accommodated (quiet table.)
Complimentary dollop of soup delicious. I had the black cod. Visually attractive presentation and really excellent. The dessert was key lime cobbler, again, delicious. One guest is allergic to all fish and sea food (I forgot) but she called ahead and they assured her nothing would be prepared involving fish.
My only reservation is the distinct odor of fish that permeates the restaurant as you enter. Otherwise, it was a perfect evening.
Took my wife for Birthday dinnerService was spectacular! Food was very good but was served warm, not hot. The waitstaff notified Management and he appeared quickly. Lobster was returned to kitchen and returned quickly and hot. Could not have asked for more. A great place to dine.
The food and service was impeccable. Outstanding dishes and each member in our party of four thoroughly enjoyed their dinners. The decor has been updated & reflects the excellent cusine. If you go request a table by the river or outside (weather permitting) & try the excellent black cod, sword fish or scallops.
